Corn 🌽 Did you know that when corn is eaten in an unprocessed way, non GMO corn kernels have some great benefits and nutrients ? Organic Corn is a Vitamin C, Magnesium-rich food and provides a good amount of your daily dietary fiber. Corn is rich in giving to your body: - High Starch - Good source of antioxidants - Natural Gluten-Free ( great for celiacs ) - High Fiber - Beneficial for Heart Health Origins: About 10.000 years ago, corn was first cultivated by n parts of Mexico and Central America. Usually considered a vegetable but in reality is a grain, rich of Fiber, vitamins etc .. Also is known all around the world for it’s yellow colour but did you know that there are many other colours such as red, orange, purple, blue white and even black ? The kernels of the seeds of corn hold the majority of nutrients and are the most consumed parts. It’s high in sugar (sucrose) but it has other properties: 1- Reduce the risk of anemia due to it’s vitamin B12. 2- Energy Enhancer 3- Helps to those underweight to put on weight 4- LowerBlood Sugar and colesterol Level 5- Helps during Pregnancy 6- Preserve Health Skin Recipe: Summer Corn & Tomato Salad -6 ears of corn -1/2 cup finely diced red onion -1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half -3 tablespoons cider or red vinegar -3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil -1/2 teaspoon sea salt flakes -1/2 teaspoon freshly ground green pepper ( optional ) -1/2 cup julienned/ chiffonaded fresh basil leaves Instructions: Bring water to boil in a large pot, add 1 tablespoons sugar and vinegar, then add the cobs corns boil it for a bit then Cover the pot, remove from heat and leave to sit for 10m. When corn is cold, cut the kernels off the cob, cutting close to the cob. Toast the kernels in a medium bowl with red onions, tomatoes, vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Just before serving add additional salt, pepper and basil. Neutral Colours might not be for everyone, if you are in the Mood, this is the time to share w/ you a few Personal Tips, Tricks & a few Simple Rules. 1- Be Bold All the Way Either if you choose Neutral or Statement Colours, do it all the way through your Outfit.
