Crown Princess Victoria’s leather skirt and necklace→ Worn on a trip to Paris, 7th December 2021
Where? Crown Princess Victoria travelled to Paris for a three day visit. The Swedish royals have a close connection to France as their family has its roots in the country. On her final day of the trip, Victoria visited Notre-Dame and visited a dormitory which has housed Swedish students in France for the last 90 years.
What she wore: Victoria looked absolutely knock out in her outfit for the day. She wore a plain black turtleneck from Filippa K, alongside a thick gold chain from a past collection at H&M. But the piece de resistance was her skirt, a faux croc leather skirt from Toteme which is currently retailing for $1090 (£825).
Copycat: If you have a plain black t-shirt at home you can jazz it up by channeling Victoria’s style. As her necklace is from an old collection, I’ve picked a new copycat in a similar price range. It’s an oversized gold chain from River Island, currently retailing for $21.12 (£16) here. For her skirt, I opted for a much more affordable piece which still has a similar vibe. It’s faux croc leather with a midi length which makes it appropriate for plenty of occasions. My choice is from British high street retailer Marks & Spencer and is available in plenty of sizes for just $46.20 (£34.99) which is 96% cheaper than the original! Snap it up here.

Queen Letizia's leather dress → Worn at the Famelab finals, 17th September 2021
Where? Queen Letizia attended the finals of the “FameLab Spain” competition which aims to promote the dissemination of science through innovative, engaging means. The winners will represent Spain at the global FameLab finals in England in November
What she wore: We love Letizia's style in the royal fandom and this repeated dress is one of my personal favourites. Worn several times over the years, the leather belted dress is a perfect example of Letizia's willingness to push the traditional boundaries of royal dressing while still remaining appropriate and professional. The piece is from & Other Stories, a popular brand amongst the fashion savvy royal crowd.
Copycat: This exact dress is unavailable and the other leather dresses on sale from the brand are all over $200 so I've done some searching and found a pretty close copycat from another royal favourite, H&M. They're selling a calf length, belted dress in an imitation leather (perfect for our animal lovers). It's retailing for $31.74 (£23). Snap it up here before it sells out.

Princess Beatrice’s polka dot dress → Worn at Wimbledon, 8th July 2021
Where? Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi joined the Countess of Wessex for a day out at Wimbledon. The pair - who are expecting a baby together - watched Australian Ashleigh Barty beat Angelique Kerber on Centre Court. Ash would go on to win the Ladies Final two days later.
What she wore: Gone are the days when royals wore baggy tent dresses throughout their pregnancies. Beatrice’s dress is not a maternity style at all but yet looked absolutely adorable on her! It’s a polka dot midi dress with balloon puff sleeves from Self Portrait, a royal favourite. If you have the funds you can get it here for $480.
Copycat: I don’t know about you but I’m not shelling out $480 for a dress, even if it is cute! But no need to despair as I found a pretty solid copycat from Boohoo. They are selling their own midi polka dot look with puff sleeves. If you add a white belt like Beatrice I think it would be a pretty good copycat. You can snap it up here in a range of sizes for £15 ($20), over 95% less than the cost of the original.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s red blazer  → Worn for a football match, 29th June 2021
Where? The Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband and their oldest son George for the rescheduled Euro 2020s at Wembley Stadium. The family were out in force to watch England take on Germany in the knockout stage. Much to everyone's surprise, England clinched the win with lucky charm George watching on
What she wore: The Cambridge family were the perfect example of colour coordination as usual. Kate's outfit picked out the red in the boys' ties, the red of the seats and of course the red in England's flag. She wore a new bright red blazer from Zara featuring gold buttons. Although Zara is normally in the perfect price range for this site, the piece is sadly sold out.
Copycat: I've picked out an affordable copycat with strong similarity to Kate's original choice. This double breasted red blazer with gold buttons is being sold by Little Mistress. It's available in limited sizes for a bargain price of $41.50 (£30). Snap it up here.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s blue ensemble  → Worn in Scotland, 24th May 2021
Where? The Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband for a series of engagements in Scotland. For the first day of their mini tour the couple visited social care provider Turning Point Scotland, the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit and Sikh Sanjog, a charity supporting Sikh families.
What she wore: Kate wore a divisive blue ensemble for her trip to Scotland, reportedly linked to the blue in the Saltire. She repeated a vibrant blue Zara blazer with gold buttons which is currently sold out and paired it with a pleated midi skirt in the same shade from Hope Fashion, retailing for £95 ($130).
Copycat: If you want to bring a bit of Duchess blue to your wardrobe, I've picked out two copycats. For the blazer, I've opted for the tailored girlfriend blazer from Coast in cobalt. It's available here in limited sizes for £44 ($62.54). For the skirt I've opted for a high waisted pleated maxi skirt from Express in a shade called Jewel Blue. Best part is it has a stretch waistband so is very comfortable! It retails for £50 ($69.99) which is more than my usual copycats but is still about half the price of Kate's piece. Snap it up here in plenty of sizes.

Crown Princess Victoria's blue dress → Worn for a meeting with SeaBOS, 17th May 2021
Where? Crown Princess Victoria participated in the digital working meeting of SeaBOS, which takes place over three days. SeaBOS is a global project through which- for the first time- the world’s most prominent fishing companies from Asia, Europe and the US collaborate to create a more sustainable fishing industry. This is a cause which Victoria has been involved in for many years as a UN Ambassador for sustainability. Representatives from the world’s ten largest seafood companies, as well as experts and researchers in the field, participated in the meeting.
What she wore: Victoria wore a gorgeous puff sleeve dress in an icy, metallic blue. It is made from a crepe fabric which gives it a more formal edge. The piece is from & Other Stories, one of the subsidiary brands of the Swedish H&M group. Victoria is friends with Karl-John Persson whose family founded the brand and who acted as CEO until 2020. The stunning dress was identified by @laurasroyalblog
Copycat: Unfortunately Victoria's dress is sold out in all sizes. Thankfully & Other Stories are selling a similar dress in a more light weight, casual fabric. They are selling a puff sleeve maxi dress - like Victoria's piece - with a wrap silhouette. The dress is made from the sustainable lyocell fabric for the environmentally conscious amongst us. It is currently selling here for $135 (£95).

The Duchess of Cambridge’s gold necklace → Worn to meet parents involved in peer support programmes, 22nd September 2020
Where? While the UK was still on lockdown, the Duchess of Cambridge visited Battersea Park to meet with parents and volunteers involved in peer support programmes. In particular Kate met with new parents and their babies to speak about the challenges of lockdown parenting.
What she wore: This post is all about Kate's necklace from Irish jewellery brand All the Falling Stars. The owner confirmed that they had gifted the necklace and accompanying earrings to the Duchess as part of her official tour to Ireland in early 2020. The necklace features three disks with the initials of the three Cambridge children and the personalised touch seems to have won the Duchess over as she has worn it several times. It retails currently in the personalised form for £120.66 ($168).
Copycat: We have a very special post today because we actually have a way to get the same piece Kate wore - and you can get it for just £5 ($7). My dear friend @princesscatherinemiddleton is running a fundraiser for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 10th wedding anniversary and as part of that is hosting a prize draw. There are tons of exciting prices on offer but the star is definitely the necklace and earrings worn by the Duchess, kindly donated by All the Falling Stars. You can even get the pieces personalised like Kate! You can enter the prize draw for £5 per ticket which means you could end up securing this £120 necklace for 95% less than the retail price! Snap up your tickets here.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sweater and blouse  → Worn in an official photograph, 27th March 2021
Where? The Duchess of Cambridge launched her Hold Still photography project alongside the National Portrait Gallery in 2020, choosing 100 photographs from the public which summarised the surreal and moving reality of living through a pandemic. After the success of the project, Kate announced that a book of the photographs would be produced. Alongside the announcement a new picture of amateur photographer Kate with her camera was released, taken around the time of the Cambridge family's Christmas card image.
What she wore: Kate wore the perfect colour scheme for an outdoor photo shoot, a deeper earth tone which would work on many complextion. Her burgundy sweater has so far gone unidentified, as far as I know. Underneath it she wore a white top from Sezane. The top has a ruffled neck, known as a pie crust, which can be seen poking out of the top of the sweater.
Copycat: I’ve picked out an affordable alternative which I think would be a great option for channeling Kate’s look. For her sweater I wanted something that had a similar colour and a neckline that wasn't too high, allowing the pie crust ruffles to be seen clearly. I chose a basic cable knit sweater from Ardene which is on sale for $11.06 (£8) in plenty of sizes here. Kate's original top was a long sleeved shirt but as it can't be properly seen I've gone with something that's a bit more flexible, yet still has the essential pie crust collar. My final choice is an ivory cotton t-shirt with a ruffled neck from La Redoute. It is currently retailing for $14.34 (£10.37) here and can be found in plenty of sizes.

August Brooksbank's bunny slippers → Worn for an official photo, 14th March 2021
Where? Princess Eugenie's 1 month old son August Brooksbank made a surprise appearance on the Princess's official Instagram account in an adorable snap marking Mother's Day. The little baby is seen lying on a blanket in a patch of daffodils. It's unclear whether the couple are in their Kensington Palace home or staying on the Windsor Estate as they did earlier in lockdown.
What he wore: August looked absolutely adorable in a whale print onesie from small independent British brand The English Beagle. He was also dressed in a white hat and jumper and of course the cherry on top, his adorable bunny rabbit slippers. I haven't seen an ID for these but will share if one is confirmed!
Copycat: So I know that it's probably a bit strange to try and copy the style of a baby but I know that the second I saw those bunny rabbit slippers I needed an adult version immediately! Just because you're approaching 30 doesn't mean you can't have adorable footwear! I've found a strong copycat which is available in grown up sizes from Amazon for $24.99 (£18). The slippers also come in a Corgi version if you want to keep the royal theme going. Snap them up here.

Princess Charlene’s white jumpsuit → Worn for an official photo, 19th January 2021
Where? Monaco’s Palais Princier released a new photograph of Princess Charlene, Prince Albert and their twins Jacque and Gabriella. The photograph is featured on the cover of Point de Vue magazine, alongside an interview with Charlene. The image was taken in November before the Princess’s headline making haircut.
What she wore: Charlene looked incredibly elegant in a white jumpsuit from Christian Dior. The jumpsuit is made from cady which is a thicker silk textile, hence the expensive and structured look, and features a low cut v neckline. It doesn’t seem to be widely available for sale yet but is likely to be a very pricey item when it does reach the market!
Copycat: If your budgets and contacts can’t get you a jumpsuit from Dior then we still have an affordable alternative which looks just as elegant as the original. I’ve picked out am ivory, wide legged jumpsuit with a deep v neck from Asos. The neckline is similar to Charlene’s and the tuxedo inspired silhouette brings the professional edge to a simple piece. Snap it up here for $32 (£23.35) in plenty of sizes.

Charlotte Casiraghi’s black leather ensemble → Worn for a photo shoot, 1st January 2021
Where? Charlotte Casiraghi was named the official ambassador for Chanel at the end of 2020. Charlotte has a long connection to the brand, with her mother being a close personal friend of its late creative director Karl Lagerfeld. As part of her new role Charlotte appeared in a series of photos taken by Inez & Vinoodh.
What she wore: Charlotte wore an ensemble from Chanel’s Spring 2021 collection. The 80s inspired look features a black leather bomber jacket and a matching black mini skirt. The look is currently not available on the market but Chanel have said it will be in boutiques soon.
Copycat: Most of us don’t have the budget for Chanel but don’t despair, I’ve picked out a couple of similar pieces if you’re feeling the double leather vibe! First up I’ve gone with a faux leather bomber jacket from Wild Fable, retailing for $29.75 (£22) here. For the skirt I wanted something with a similar length and have opted for this high waisted mini skirt from American Eagle which is available in plenty of sizes for $41.96 (£31) here.

Princess Charlene’s white pussy bow blouse  → Worn for a video message, 31st December 2020
Where? After a difficult 2020 due to the global pandemic and Albert’s personal diagnosis of coronavirus, Princess Charlene joined her husband for a video message on New Year’s Eve. This follows a similar video released in 2019
What she wore: Charlene paired her edgy new undercut hairstyle with a more typical royal style: a pussybow blouse. Her Prada top features 3/4 length sleeves and a large bow at the neck. It currently retails for just under $900 here.
Copycat: I’ve picked out an affordable alternative which I think would be a great option for channeling Charlene’s look. I’ve chosen a white top with similar blouson sleeves and an exaggerated bow. It’s from Monki and is selling in plenty of sizes for just $22.40 (£16.40). Snap it up here.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s red blazer  → Worn for a video message, 14th November 2020
Where? The Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a video message to thank everyone involved in her Hold Still project. The project was a collaboration between the Duchess and the National Portrait Gallery which asked people to capture images which represented their time in lockdown. The winning entries were put into an online gallery and have been displayed in murals and billboards across the UK.
What she wore: Kate wore a red Zara blazer with gathered shoulders for the occasion. The Duchess first wore the piece for the 2012 Olympics. As its a high street piece it was no doubt very affordable when it was first sold but unfortunately as an older piece it’s no longer widely available.
Copycat: I’ve picked out an affordable alternative which I think would be a great option for channeling Kate’s look. I’ve opted for another bold red blazer with statement sleeve details, retailing from Pretty Little Thing. The piece is selling in limited sizes for $23.71 (£18). Snap it up here now.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s pleated skirt → Worn on 20th and 22nd October
Where? The Duchess of Cambridge kicked off the week of pleated skirts during a visit to view some of the images from her Hold Still digital photography competition organised in collaboration with her patronage, the National Portrait Gallery. Two days later Queen Letizia then made an appearance to hand out prizes at the National Fashion Industry Awards, given annually by the Ministry of Industry.
What they wore: Both Kate and Letizia opted for pleated skirts by Massimo Dutti. Kate opted for a very autumn appropriate colour scheme, choosing to pair her bold red coat with a black version of the skirt. Meanwhile Letizia went for a chic, neutral version of the same skirt - something she has worn before - as part of a monochromatic look. The skirt itself is ankle length and features classic pleats.
Copycat: I’ve chosen two pleated skirts so that you can channel both of the fashion icons in this post without breaking the bank! First up for Kate, I’ve opted for a floaty chiffon midi skirt which is pleated like the Duchess’s and has an elasticated waist to make it more comfortable. It’s from Sonja Betro and is selling for a bargain £10.75 ($13.99) in a range of sizes here. Meanwhile for Letizia’s I’ve picked out another pleated midi skirt in beige from Monki. It’s a bit more expensive but I think it would make a great outfit for work and for a night out (if we have those in a post COVID world!) You can snap it up in several sizes for £26.50 ($34.55) here.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s white top and pink trousers → Worn for a meeting with parents, 22nd September 2020
Where? Back after the summer break, the Duchess met with families in Battersea Park to find out more about the peer support they have received during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the latest engagement from the Duchess focusing on parenthood and coronavirus.
What she wore: Kate wore a new white top from Ralph Lauren. It’s short sleeved with a scoop neck and is made from a ribbed jersey top. She paired it with her dusty pink trousers from Marks and Spencer which she has worn before and which are unfortunately no longer on sale.
Copycat: I’ve picked out a top and trousers combination I think works for a range of people. The top I’ve opted for is a ribbed off white top from Mango selling for a bargain $5.99 (£4.70). For the trousers I’ve opted for a pair with a similar pink shade but it an elasticated waist, making them more flexible and comfortable. They’re from Denim & Co and are selling for $31.23 (£25).
