"Thankfully everyone I've met here has been kind enough to help when asked as well.", Flowery responded, smiling lightly. They weren't shy to ask for help, especially when they found themself somewhere new and were uncertain where they were exactly. And as long as the people around them were nice enough, asking for help wasn't a problem. It was harder to do so in less peaceful places, though.
They made a soft sound as they heard the water splash against the walls, tilting their head curiously. They had a vague sense of how large the chamber was, factoring in how their voices bounced back to them as well. Not that they could give an estimate with real measurements, but still.
Flowery hummed softly, nodding. "It took me a long time to get used to it too, though.". It had helped that they had known it would happen, and it wasn't instantaneous. Still, learning to walk around blindly was hard. Learning how to dodge attacks was even harder. They were glad not every monster was inclined to start an attack immediately.
They giggled softly at the story, smiling. "It's funny what obvious things you can miss when you're not paying attention.", they hummed, smile on their lips. It was sometimes still hard for them to pay attention to every sound as well, when they were paying more attention to something else already. But that's just how it was, hm?
Flowery smiled, happy and a little amused, joyful their little sound had made the other giggle. They weren't surprised when River couldn't replicate the sound, though the clacking of teeth didn't go unnoticed. Still, they had no idea what kind of monster River could be -there were simply far too many choices, after all.
They listened attentively, nodding along lightly. They had heard about fully submerged cavesystems before, though only offhandedly, on the surface. It shouldn't surprise them that there were some underground as well, especially with as many monsters as there were here -or had been, once. They knew their numbers had dwindled after being sealed.
"There truly are. I could find a new spot I've never been to any time I walk around. Though, perhaps not anymore. You miss a lot when you can't see.", Flowery replied lightly. They were sure they'd found new spots from their listening to the world as well, but it was simply much harder to tell, if one couldn't see.
"At least I've not managed to fall into the water yet, in my travel through the waterfalls. I'm not certain how heavy I'd get, with all these flowers.", They said softly. They hoped they'd never find out either -alone their coat would weigh them down tremendously. Who knew how hundreds of soaked dandelions would weigh them down?

Flowery decided to let that topic end there. While they were very curious, they didn't want to press it. If River remembered the surface, they'd been in the war, and they knew that wasn't something any monster liked to talk about. Not unless they loved battle, which they rarely encountered, if ever. So, while curious, they let it rest. They wouldn't want to be reminded of their own past either.
They noted the sounds, the gentle drip dripping of the water. They weren't sure they've ever been here, but it was rather relaxing. Their fingers moved along the grooves of the seashell railing they had found, enjoying the interesting shapes.
"it's very relaxing.", They agreed and nodded lightly. It was very different from rain, yet it had the same calming qualities. With a little amused smile, they raised a finger to their cheek. It was hard to tell what they were doing, their mouth moving open a little before moving to pursed lips, as they tapped their cheek. Together with an unseen movement of their tongue, they successfully made a sound that sounded very close to a water droplet dripping.
"I don't think I've ever been here.", They added after a moment. They wondered if they could find it on their own too, or if it was easier by boat.

Flowery hummed softly, giving a little nod. They could understand that, of course. They weren't certain who had started the war, though it wouldn't surprise them if it had been humans. They so easily got scared of things they didn't know, couldn't control. And the monsters -the ones they met during their travels, at least- were so kind and gentle.
"I can understand that. But it always would've happened, wouldn't it? Either the king collects all souls, or a peaceful way is found.", Or, of course, the monsters were eradicated instead. But even so, the human responsible still would need the barrier gone to leave. They supposed it was better that the king hadn't gotten eight souls, though. They couldn't imagine the humans' reaction if that would've happened.
"There's always good and bad. But we have to stay positive.", They hummed softly. They never would've climbed the mountain if there weren't bad people. They never would've gotten through the Underground if there weren't good people either, though.
Flowery hummed softly, nodding. They were glad monsters were free, even if it's a more recent development. They didn't know this world, of course, and the whole story of it all, but generally they imagined it was along the same lines. At least here, it seemed as if humans and monsters were working things out peacefully, and more or less easily. At least they'd assume so, seeing how they were outside with a monster -they were certain by now it was- and no one seemed openly hostile or aggressive towards them.
"I hope the future will hold good things for everyone here.", They said softly. Somewhere, they felt a little guilty, having left their own home behind. Of course they had stayed for a while, even though they had wanted to go search immediately. They had to make sure that no one would attempt killing anyone -from both species. But they could've -should've, probably- stayed longer. But how could they wait for years? When they had caused someone so important to vanish in the first place?
Absentmindedly, they tugged on the dandelions on their hand. Only when they accidentally tugged too hard, lost in thought, and flinched from the pain, did they stop. Lightly shaking their head, Flowery sighed.
"Do you like the surface?", They asked, not wanting to dwell on it. It was out of their control now, what would happen between monsters and humans. And they assumed the person they were with also had little to no control over what happened here.

"I hope it won't be a problem for you, if it did get damaged. I wouldn't want to have caused it, if you had wanted to show me a trick.", Flowery was vaguely aware of magic being used, though they stayed still and calm. While they were just too used to magic being used to hurt them, as long as they couldn't feel their soul being drawn out, they knew they were safe. And why would anyone try to randomly suddenly hurt them anyways? This seemed like a peaceful timeline.
"Using it with a camera seems wonderful. Being able to see things from a new perspective, something you normally would never be able to.", they hummed lightly, tilting their head a little. They remembered how different it was to simply see things from higher up than their normal standing height, but to see things so entirely different with a drone? They wondered just what the world might look like from above.
Faintly, they thought of the bed of buttercups in the Ruins, so tiny as they fell, rapidly growing closer.
"Race them? I'd imagine you'd have to alter them then, to make them uniquely faster than what you can buy.", at least it wouldn't make sense to them to race something that many people can buy as is.
"But, you don't use them for such things?", They couldn't help but be curious about this person. But, they tried to go with the conversation, rather than lead it. They were rather content like this.

"Ah, yes. I have.... a phone? Another monster friend made it for me a longer time ago, so it might look a little weird.", Flowery said, digging through the large pockets of their coat. They eventually pulled out something that did indeed resemble a phone. It looked rather old and kind of like a brick, but it fit nicely in Flowery's hand. It even had a couple charms dangling from it! There was a dandelion charm, one that looked like the New Mew Kissy Cutie cat but evil? Also a bone and a white fluffy dog. The thing did have a screen, but it was mostly buttons, with braille letters on them. It was clearly catered towards Flowery's blindness.
"If it isn't a bother to you, that would be very kind. I'd probably get lost again with only directions to follow.", They chuckled lightly, offering Zandri a little smile. While their memory was pretty good, being someplace unfamiliar would make traveling hard. Plus, if it was getting late, they didn't want to get into any danger. They weren't helpless, of course, neither against monsters or humans. But they very largely preferred to stay peaceful.
"Ah, I go by Flowery, I forgot to mention. It's a nickname my friend gave me, so I'm using it in case someone has heard him say it. It's very nice to meet you, and thank you again for all your help.".
Flowery realized that their... pieced together explanations weren't the smartest thing they could've done. It was their own fault, really. They should've had a story ready to go, and not piece it together with every question they had to answer. Should they try and explain it again, but.. better? Less... weird, maybe? It felt like it would be even weirder though, and they weren't sure they could quite figure out every detail that didn't make a lot of sense right now.
A bit anxious, Flowery tugged on the dandelions growing on the back of their hand. It hurt a bit, but not worse than picking a scab. "Oh! I think I've heard of them before.", Flowery smiled lightly, nodding. It's been a while, but... those two had been from Snowdin, right? They had only stayed with them once, so they didn't really remember...
"I'm sorry for troubling you so much. It's.. it's been a long day. I'm sorry if I didn't make a lot of sense either.", they said softly, sighing lightly. They didn't mean to make so much trouble for someone so kind. Hopefully they could manage better by themself tomorrow.

Flowery hummed softly, nodding. They could understand that certainly. They had no real desires to go back to the Ruins either, although their memories were a lot different than the monsters' would be. But even so, not wanting to return to a place due to bad experiences was something they were very familiar with.
They shifted their position a little, curiously feeling around them. They knew the skiff could change its shape -although they weren't entirely sure how, or in what shapes- so they were quite curious if they could feel anything around them. Sometimes they missed their sight. Not only because it made going around places harder, but simply because they missed seeing the wonderful things in the world. Now all they could do was remember voices, and feelings. It wasn't too bad, they supposed.
"I didn't know there's a river near here on the surface.", Flowery replied. They had never really left the nearby city though, not until leaving for the very mountain they were now under. "You know a lot about this.", they noted then. Clearly River was a very old monster, if they remembered a river on the surface. Flowery had never really thought about the riverperson that much before, so they found themself a little surprised.

"It's alright. It's sad that they have fallen into such disuse.", Flowery replied softly. The Ruins had always been very pretty, but also very somber in a way. They knew not many lived there anymore, even though it was such a large place. Though they didn't like to think about the why either.
They quietly enjoyed the sounds of the water lapping at the skiff, River's gentle humming accompanying it. This was so peaceful, so unlike most experiences they've had. Funny, how one seemingly little thing could change so much so drastically.
"I hope we'll be able to find out sooner than later. Perhaps you'll even find out where it comes from, if it's not springing forth Underground.", Flowery smiled lightly, hoping that it would be possible. They had no clue how many humans had already fallen, if any, and what the eighth human might choose to do when they arrived. But they hoped things would turn out well, for everyone.

Flowery smiled as they listened to River explain. They always liked learning new things, and even if this knowledge was "useless" ultimately, it was still something nice. They'd try to remember it all, or at least some. Who knew if it ever came up again, after all? And they appreciated being told so much; it'd be rude not to listen.
"Home... That's the ruins, right? I don't think many refer to it as Home anymore.", Flowery only knew thanks to their previous travel companion, since they had never heard another monster call it that. They supposed Toriel used it as a home, but never called the region itself that.
They remembered the first few times they had been there. How long had they been stuck there? How many dandelions came from the ruins? They shook their head lightly, dispelling those thoughts. They didn't matter.
"Maybe one day we can find where the river comes and goes.". They had never considered it before. It was likely it just disappeared beneath the ground further and further, to eventually end up being used by the humans above. Perhaps it did go outside, and joined the nearby sea. Maybe another time, they could find out, and tell River. They wouldn't mind visiting here again, at the very least.

Flowery listened intently, nodding along lightly. They had heard of drones before, but never seen one. They wondered what it looked like -maybe like a little plane? No sense calling it something other than a plane then though.
They tilted their head hearing the clatter. "I hope it's not damaging to crash. It must be nice to watch it fly.". At least they assumed it was. It would be like a kite -something where you don't do all that much, but watching it is nice. Though they supposed being able to do tricks with the drone would be fun as well.
"Is it just for entertainment? I've never seen a drone before.", they were curious, and as long as Gaster didn't seem bothered, Flowery would happily ask whatever they thought of.

Flowery made a little sound as they started moving, though they smiled, enjoying the movements. The gentle sound of the river, the light rocking and moving of the skiff, it was very calming. Like a break in their constant worry and stress of finding him.
"Thank you.".
It felt good, that someone believed in them. Even if River didn't know the details, or how complicated it really was. You didn't need to know all the details to believe in someone.
One of Flowery's hands found its way to the other, pushing up their sleeve a bit as their fingers lightly tugged on the dandelions covering the back of their hand. It was something they did, sometimes, without thinking. They didn't tug hard enough to really hurt.
"The river goes around a lot, doesn't it?", they hummed, thinking. They weren't sure just how many places it went, but it seemed pretty long to them. They wondered if it came from the outside, perhaps.

"Ah, well. I think I do, but it's hard to tell when you can't see anything to make sure.", Flowery replied, shrugging a little. They were certainly assuming where they were, but as long as no one asked, it didn't really matter anyways. "It's more like that he got lost first, and I'm searching for him. And getting lost in turn.". Technically, this was all their fault anyways. But it wasn't like they could just... explain it without sounding particularly crazy.
"That'd be nice. I'll probably be here for a while, trying to see if he's around somewhere.", they smiled lightly, nodding. They would like any help they could get, especially since it'd be easier to find out if he was here or not.
"He's a monster, yes.", they bit their lip lightly, wondering if they should be more specific. Maybe.. it wouldn't be too bad? "He's a skeleton. Very tall. The jacket I'm wearing was his, actually.". They figured it wouldn't do any harm. Sure, they had only met two skeletons in their time Underground, but there were probably more. And well, it was the truth.

Flowery smiled softly as they listened, enjoying the sound of River's voice. They truly didn't have a set place they wanted to go, and they could spend a couple days at least here to see if he was here. "I'd enjoy a little trip, if it's no bother. Since I'm just searching, I don't have any particular place to go to.". Perhaps after they'd wander through the Hotlands. Maybe they could find Alphys -she had cameras all over, didn't she? Or perhaps they'd stay in Waterfall a bit longer. They remembered a piano being somewhere here.
"I'm sure I'll find him eventually.", they hummed softly. They wouldn't give up, not unless they were forced to. Until they knew what had happened, and weren't left wondering, assuming. Because like this, they were holding onto hope that he would be somewhere.
"If there's ever a lost monster mentioning Flowery, that's me. It's- the nickname he gave me, really. I go by it now, in case someone has heard it before.".

Flowery greatly appreciated the help, feeling quite safe and comfortable to be with River and trusting them. It was easy to trust someone who was kind, at least for Flowery. Though they were aware that they tended to trust too easily -they could probably count the flowers on them come from betrayal.
They moved carefully as they settled on the skiff, listening to River's reply. They hummed lightly, taking a seat. "It's not Gerson, but thank you.", they replied, giving the other a smile. While they never knew if the riverperson could or would see, they believed kindness would be perceived anyways. "My friend's not from around here, like myself. He got... lost. So I'm looking for him.", they explained a little more. At least they hoped he was lost somewhere, and not gone. He couldn't be. At least, they had to tell themself that.
They tilted their head lightly, thinking. It'd been a while since they had last come to use the ferry, where all could they stop again? "I don't think I quite recall everywhere we can go.", they admitted softly. They were somewhat certain Snowdin was a possibility, though they knew they didn't want to go there.
