“Yeah, that’s true.” They said as they sat back, looking over at Leo as he started talking. “But also if you were the president that would be pretty awful. too much responsibility.” They decided with a serious nod. “Really? I mean, would you really feel unimportant when you are the first person to ever walk on an exoplanet? You would be the next Neil Armstrong. But even better because it wouldn’t be a moon. It would be a whole different planet in a completely different solar system.” They mused, pausing for a short time as they imagine it before sighing. “Instead, I write books about space instead of being there.”

         Leo hummed quietly to himself as he listened to their reason for why he should feel important if he would ever discover another planet. Sure his reasoning was more then valid but there was something about the vast dark emptiness of the space that made his chest tighten and there are no riches in the world that would make him decide to travel to another planet. “Yeah you’re right, I’d be fuckin’ important and you’d eventually have to worship my greatness” A sly smile appeared on his full lips. “Well yes you do write books about space but if you think about it with your writing you bring other people to places they never thought they’d be. So I would say that you’re really important”

“oh, it’s fine! we can all get pretty emotional about books,” alison said with a smile as the other spoke. “yeah, i do. at the counter, mostly. they just told me to come and see what was going on here.“

         “Oh wow, was I that loud?? That’s not humiliating at all”  He told the girl, this time trying his hardest to keep his voice down so she wouldn’t have to kick him out of the damn library. “It’s really not my fault, if you knew what I was reading you’d be surprised I wasn’t screaming my lungs out”

I’ve been feeling kind of sick all day so I spent the day in bed cuddling with my dog and I think I will continue doing that for a while now but I will reply to everything later tonight (if I’m not dead)

No matter how loud the music is, Sofia would always be able to hear a voice that was music to her ears. She froze in her spot with her back slightly to him, her smile faltering. She had hoped that she was hearing things but as soon as she turn face him, she realized she wasn’t. Her heart was pounding and her mind was reeling as she tried to speak. She swallowed hard and nods a bit. Sofia wanted to speak but nothing was able to come out.

       He didn’t need her to say a single word to understand what was running through her mind. He had long ago learned how to pick up on every single one of her body and facial expression and there are something you never really forget. “I was surprised to hear you were still in town. I kind of always believed you would get out of here and travel around the world” His voice was barely more then a whisper as he moved across the floor to take a seat in one of the stools

It had been sometime that a customer has come into the bar that day. She decided to play some music since she was alone and started dancing along with it. She turned the volume up slightly louder, closed her eyes as she danced but what she didn’t hear was someone coming into the bar and trying to get her attention.

         He shouldn’t be here. He in fact should be somewhere far away from this damn bar but he couldn’t avoid her forever and really he needed a drink after the long and exhausting day he’s had. Leo swallowed dryly before pushing the door open and walking into the bar that seemed to have stayed exactly the same since the last time he stepped foot inside of it and of course she was there. She was dancing like she hadn’t even noticed him entering the bar. The corner of his lips slowly turned upwards because this was exactly what he had missed when he left town. “You’re still serving drinks around here?”

        “Oh sorry” He really couldn’t help it, after a long day his voice tended to either go louder our quieter it was just another side affect of being hearing impaired. “I’ll try to be quieter... D’you work here?”

“mine says that the moon will move into my communications zone today, and i should use it to make more connections to the world before a mercury-mars connection later today draws up excess nervousness.” lyra nodded profoundly, eyes wide with wonder as she finished reading the aquarius horoscope at the bottom of the newspaper. she tilted her head up to meet the eyes of the person across from her, newspaper still open in her lap. hey, might as well start making a connection before the whole mercury-mars thing. “i can read you your horoscope too, if you’d like. what’s your sign?”  

      Leo’s eyes flickered away from the pages of the medical book he had been reading for who knows how long. But it had to be for a while since the words were blending together and his brain was turning into a pudding so he welcomed the distraction the girl gave him once she began telling him her horoscope. “Huh” He closed the heavy book before turning his entire focus on her. “Now what does my horoscope say, I’m Aries”

I have to say one of the best parts of my job is confirming to the kids that the artefacts in the museum do actually come to life at night when the place is closed. However then they are more bothered about knowing what they get up to  at night rather then learning the history.

         “Oh I wish there was someone to tell me that when my mom was dragging me to the museum when I was a kid. I would have wanted to stay there all that time and knowing my past asshole self I’m pretty sure I would have tried to break into the museum one night to see if everything would come to life”

Audrey’s impulsive actions usually made for quite fond memories, the kind that was deemed as the unforgettable ones and she had no doubt this adventure would fall under that exact category. “Don’t worry. I wouldn’t have bought all this stuff if I didn’t have a location.” The brunette threw a water bottle to Leo and handed him one of the emf meters. “Leo, how do you feel about abandoned, underground raves?” She asked, her head tilted slightly to the side while her mouth held a prominent grin. 

       Leo captured the water bottle with his right hand and raised his brows so high he swore they could have touched his hairline, he couldn’t quite believe what she was saying, abandoned, underground rave? “I’ve always known you were strange but darling now I’m starting to think you’re insane, underground rave?? What if there’s some demonic spirit partying down there? But I have to admit, it’s crazy but brilliant at the same time so lets do it”

“The company is good”  Garrett smiled as he began to fidget with his shirt then he laughed a bit.  “Well one of three things happens.  They try to get out and fail as there is some scary thing in the elevator with them,  They argue and vent out what has been bothering them all along,  Or they make out… alot”  he said shrugging as he looked at Leo with a slight blush.  “at least in the movies i watch”

         “So you’re telling me one of those three things are likely to happen?” The corners of Leonardo’s lips slightly turned upwards when he considered what Garrett told him. “I think we can forget about the arguing part. There’s absolutely nothing that’s bothering me right now, other then this fuckin’ elevator” He let out a long and heavy breath before shaking his head. “And the scary things? I doubt it will happen but if a monster would come to kill us I’m more then sure we’d be able to kick it’s ass, don’t you think?” Leo wet his lips and with his signature grin he continued. “Well now there’s only one thing left for us to do”

         Leo ran his fingers through his dark, tangled hair as he listened intently to the man beside him. humming in agreement. He knew exactly what he was talking about. He at first ignored the strange looks the people he once knew gave him. Perhaps they were annoyed that he came back because they believed he was wasting the opportunity to get out of this damn town, the opportunity they never got. “Yeah everything’s just the same, it’s like this fuckin’ town is frozen in time. I’ve also gotten the dirty looks you’re talking about. I’m pretty sure  they hate us because we were able to leave but we decided to come back and their confused because why would anyone want to come back?”

“I mean, don’t get me wrong. I love writing but everyday I keep reading about how new planets are discovered and all I can think is I could be one of the first person to explore those planets if I had prioritized my life better. I mean, imagine going to a different planet! It would be amazing. Especially if there was other life there.” They said as they looked at the other person they were conversing with. “I’m pretty sure I just got completely off topic though. Didn’t I? That happens a lot.”

         Leo was long used to their rambling, he was used to lying around with his eyes closed, listening to them talking about everything and anything so he wasn’t particularly surprised when their mundane conversation turned into something entirely different. “I know it’s weird. Think about it, I could have been a fuckin’ president, instead I’m lying around doing absolutely nothing” He let out a soft chuckle before slightly turning his head around to get a better look at them. “But I wouldn’t want to go to space, it scares me to death. It makes me feel small and unimportant, I hate it”

The forecast called for a nice, breezy night which was perfect for the plans that Audrey had in store for herself and the person she was hoping to drag along with her. “It’s gonna be a great night for some… ghost hunting?” The brunette chirped, her lips forming the smallest grin and her eyebrow raised just the slightest. One by one Audrey began to take items out of the small, light blue bag she had been carrying, spreading them out on the table for the other person to view. “See, I got everything we need. Flashlights, emf meters, recorders, thermal cams, laser grid scopes, the whole nine yards.”

        Leo should be pissed at Audrey for dragging him outside in the middle of the night when he should be in bed like any other proper grown ups would do. But he had never truly been a proper adult and hunting for ghosts sounded intriguing especially after spending countless of hours watching The Ghost Adventures. “Ghost hunting?” Leo gave her a questioned look yet he couldn’t contain the excitement in his eyes. “So you’ve got everything prepared? What about the location? I can’t remember any haunted houses in town”

I finally finished this long ass week which means I’m officially a free man!!! (for a week sh) I’m getting my hair cut in an hour so once I get back I’ll start replying to everything!
