Horrible pictures sorry ... But I've been working on this for like 3 weeks and I made a whole new pattern for it. He was SO much fun ,, he's about 18 inches tall and made entirely of fleece !! With clay and hotel glue for the accessories :)

I designed him off the Lord of the Flies scene in chapter 8/9 so he does NOT look well . But I had a ton of fun with him yayyy

Small peek at his concept art. It also points out some of the number stuff I threw in ?? 7 butterflies for it's kind of holy/god-related associations and 4 flies for the numbers tie to death. Other fun fact: the butterflies are based off blue morpho butterflies!

•○ Island of Eden ○•

Hello! This is an introduction to my Lord of the Flies swap AU named the Island of Eden/IoE! I wanted to make an AU that had the main boys switch roles (Jack is the main protagonist with a relatively good heart, Viper/Roger replaces Piggy and helps Jack, Ralph? Oh boy. He's a story for another day..) and I plan to make posts about each character separately for more depth! This will be paired with mini storytelling as I also plan to draw and write sections of the AU! Luckily this post is the start of that mwahaha 😈 so without further ado, ENJOY!

Island of Eden ~ PART 1

Jack examined the uncharted environment in front of him. Before he could take a full grasp of his situation, the new boy he had met prior shouted up ahead.

"Any luck with whistling? Did any more boys show up?"

"No, not yet. Haven't seen anyone."

Jack pondered for a moment and considered an alternative, but once again, his thoughts were cut off.

"Try to whis-stle again."

"What?"

"I said -"

"Yeah, I know what you said. Why did you say it like that?"

The boy hesitated when Jack asked the question. He awkwardly played with the sand below his feet and looked back at Jack with a sad expression. He mumbled something under his breath and sheepishly replied.

"I, I just have a small s-stutter is all. Can't pronounce my S's that well."

"It makes you sound like a snake."

The boy was once again taken aback at Jack's words, this time looking more frustrated than embarrassed.

"Don't say that! The kids at my school always call me Viper Boy and-"

Jack turned around in an instant and let out a hearty snicker.

"Viper Boy? Viper? That's priceless!"

"It's not funny!"

"Is!"

"Is-s not!"

The bickering stopped when the boys both noticed a peculiar rock that laid adjacent to the shore. Jack, being the closest, rushed to retrieve it.

"Woah! Check it out!"

To both of their surprise, they had found a fossil that seemed rather fragile. Upon the rare finding, Jack ran his fingers across the ridged spiral he had in his hands with Viper looking in awe and fascination.

"My uncle shows me all s-sorts of fossils he would find living near the shore. I've never seen one this beautiful."

Viper attempted to take the fossil for further inspection but Jack swiftly spun around and gripped the fossil tighter.

"Not yet! I'm still looking."

"But, Jack -"

Viper noticed a moving figure past Jack. As the figure grew closer, Viper recognised it was another boy, much smaller than both him and Jack. And then another boy, and another. Viper and Jack were caught up with their new discovery that they had not realised the previous whistling was successful after all.
