Hey there! This is a side blog to my main account, @chaolie, and it’s dedicated to my Wither Takeover AU!

What is this AU, you might ask! Well, it’s a bit complicated, but to give you a short summary: After the final Manburg vs Pogtopia War, things get out of hand very fast. Countless overpowered Withers start roaming the world, destroying anything and anyone in their path, and the world itself seems to be on the verge of breaking. Not wanting to die, everyone scattered and took shelter alone or in small groups. Now, most of them are hoping to reunite with their missing family and friends, or to win back their land… But how far can hope alone get them?

Well, this blog is going to slowly follow their adventures and struggles!

What is Wither Takeover AU?

So, more about this AU! (All the following is about characters, not CCs, and /rp)

This takes place on the Dream SMP and up until the finale of the Manburg vs Pogtopia war, it pretty much follows the actual plot. However, things change right before Wilbur blows the place up. Techno spawns more Withers than in canon and continues to add them until there are around 50. Dream decides to join in and "upgrade them", making them much stronger and harder to defeat.

Since so far, most of the conflicts were more "lighthearted" in this AU, no one really takes it seriously at first. Sure, the TNT went off and some people are getting emotional, and Wilbur sure had a "very dramatic death", and a couple of people are taking cover, running, or nowhere to be seen, but... things aren't that bad, are they? Well, the withers are destroying a bit too much land, so Dream and Techno still decide to stop playing around and help fight them.

Then, Dream loses a life and realizes that this is much more serious than intended. He also finds out Wilbur just lost his last life. Oh, and he has no idea where most of his friends disappeared to. With panic clouding his mind, he also makes quite a few mistakes while attempting to weaken or delete the withers.

That's why, before anyone knows it, they're suddenly forced to run while the withers follow and spread, destroying everything in their way. Everyone goes into hiding alone or in small groups and with the "World Owner" injured, the world itself seems to be on the verge of breaking.

This blog will follow everyone's "adventures" as they try to reconnect with their missing friends and family, keep their groups safe, and either win back their land or find somewhere else to settle.

Also as an endnote, since this AU takes place after the Manburg vs Pogtopia war and has been in the works for a long time, don't be surprised to see some long-changed dynamics between characters!

Hating on characters and complaining about the relationships between them is not welcome and could get you blocked. Providing constructive criticism or correcting information I got wrong is welcome and I'll be grateful for it, though.

Sharing information about characters or the server back from the Manburg vs Pogtopia era is welcome and strongly encouraged! Most of the information I use for this AU is from the dsmp wiki, but some characters don't have much information there, so anything you remember could be helpful! Sources for that are appreciated but not required!
