On to the penultimate set from this fashion shoot featuring @diamond_lin00. Thanks to @annatianmakeup for hair and make up in the day. We made the shoot in near #baishawanbeach in northern Taiwan. . . This shot was created using a balance of natural and artificial light. @diamond_lin00 for our Kaimu -Ocean Dream photo shoot following on from the mornings video shoot. One thing is for sure it definitely works better to separate video production from the stills side. I was fortunate enough to spend a day hanging out with my friend @aceypics (Acey) during his recent visit to #taiwan. It was good to take the opportunity to make a couple of #portraits of him. Acey is a boss with a camera so check out hi page. Always good to hang out, see you next time. . . . I made this using available light, shot on a @sonyalpha #a7riii fitted with a Nikon #50mm f1.4 at f1.4.

The wind was up and so was the surf over at #baishawan #beach for this fun shoot with @chris_.hawk. Thank you to the kind surfer for lending us his board for a minute. It felt like hanging in to a sail in the wind though, so well done Chris for not blowing away. Shooting on location always offers up different challenges, this is why I prefer that to the studio in general. I really enjoy a good challenge. Having a bit of a fun shoot on #baishawan #beach with @chris_.hawk last week. I think we were experiencing some of the weather created by the near by typhoons here in #taiwan. By the end of this shoot there was a film of salt on my lens and my light was dripping from the humidity and rain combination. Very trying conditions to work in. . . . It was good vibes as always at #beatsquare in #TaipeiCinemaPark at the weekend. One of my favourite monthly events, I always get there if I can for good tunes and a cool scene. I made this little video on my @gopro #hero6black Just a taste of plenty more video work to come. (at Taipei, Taiwan)

Playing with symmetry and mixed light with @analeigh.pan. We made this quick shoot after shooting for a short film together in Taiwan. Lit using two @cactus_image #rf60x speedlights fitted with #cb60s softboxes. One light was my key and the second set up as a kicker, the bedside lamps providing light for the background. @sonyalpha #a7riii has an excellent sensor and is a pleasure to use helping make this little shoot a lot of fun to produce, as well as the film footage I needed to produce.

I love to mix up available light and strobe to get the look and atmosphere I want to create in an image. This is a perfect example, I lit @analeigh.pan using two @cactus_image #rf60x speed lights with #cb60s soft boxes. One as a key light and one as a fill.
