Dusk ITN2 - Update
We are part of #dusk #ITN2. We setup several nodes which are running like a charm. Rewards reflect the future #mainnet setup and are very good! Also the upgrades delivered by the team are quick to implement. Hardly any downtime for the nodes! The community is also very involved and helpful. On TG and Discord you can get all support you need. The amount of nodes on testnet as exceeding all expectations!
You can still join and get a chunk of the rewards 1.000.000 DUSK!

Happy 2024! The year of $Dusk
With the end of 2023 and the release of the Webwallet and Node, an exiting phase of the Dusk Program to shape the new world of finance is approaching a key phase. Very soon ITN2 will start. Everyone can run a node, play around with webwallet on #testnet and receive real #dusk as rewards! Soon after ITN2 ends, we will be able to bridge our ERC20 Dusk to Mainnet Dusk and also start our own #mainnet nodes for Juicy APY! We will participate for sure.

Road to Dusk Mainnet
The news is out! Q1 2024 will be on fire! Release of main-net is targeted for March. And we will have another Testnet with rewards in between expected end of Q4 2023. Next 6 months will be filled with releases, news items and Demo's. And like the CEO of Dusk mentioned: "The fun will only start with mainnet release", it will only trigger more use cases and possibilities.
We will participate in ITN and mainnet as node provisioners. So stay tuned for more updates!

Roadmap to Dusk #mainnet will be released soon!!!
The Dusk team announced they have been working on a roadmap with timelines till Mainnet release. This will be published soon. We are, as well as you, very exited about this news. This will give insights on what to expect by when and by who! And hopefully will also answer some of our burning questions.
Will we get another #ITN Phase before mainnet? How will the token transfer from ERC20 to Dusk native look like? Will we see the lighthouse PoC's being announced? And ofc the most important topic. The Date we can work towards to and spin up our node(s) and participate in Dusk mainnet and gain staking rewards!
As soon as the roadmap is out, we will zoom into all aspects and post in our blog.

ITN Phase 1 - rewards distribution close - we are on the list!
The Dusk team has gone through all the data for ITN Phase I. There's around 520 addresses that are eligible for rewards based off of being active provisioners during the ITN. You can find the published list here: https://github.com/HDauven/dusk-itn-phase-I/blob/main/eligibleAddresses Payouts will happen on Wednesday and are estimated between 170-190 Dusk.
Currently there is no date yet for Phase 2 of ITN to start. We will keep you posted as soon as more info comes out. Currently some features required for ITN 2 are still in development.

ITN Phase 1 completed
With the year end also Phase 1 of ITN came to an end.
It was a great success with many lessons learned.
In total we gained 2669 tDusk as staking rewards with a 15k stake in ~6 weeks time. We did not receive our rewards yet, but expect that during the next weeks. Will keep you posted on that.
The team announced phase 2 will be launched somewhere in Q1 2023 and will require “staking/locking” of ERC-20 Dusk tokens to participate in the incentives. Phase 2 will also include some new technologies.
We will stop our node and re-install using latest installer to see how that works and then restart and re-stake to see how long it takes to sync the node and receive staking rewards again, to ensure we are ready for ITN Phase 2!

Dusk ITN next steps
Currently the ITN phase 1 is running. We have staked half of the 30k tokens we got from the faucet. The 15k stake already grew to 16,5k. So that’s a 10% growth in like 3 weeks time. Assuming rewards on mainnet will be similar, this gives a nice indication of possible ROI for early birds. However with the amount of provisioners growing, the rewards will be distributed over more participants. We noticed a decrease in rewards over the days because of this, but they are still very nice!
Next to monitoring our node, we also listened in to the Twitter spaces session earlier this week. Some hints were given on the next phases of ITN. Main topic was that the team is looking into possibilities to link rewards distribution to amount of ERC-20 Dusk you have (e.g. via locking them in a staking contract while running your node). The team also was overwhelmed with the amount of interest in running a node on the ITN. Initial target is overachieved by a factor 10 to 20. Phase 1 already gave plenty of valuable feedback, which allows the team to keep further building the #future of #finance with their #RegDeFi solution!

DARTs by Dusk
Today one of Dusk’s lead developers (Emanuele) talked about DART on Telegram. This MiCA compliant stable-coin technology will be used on Dusk Main-net to e.g. facilitate dividend payouts. It’s part of the Zedger component of the Dusk Network Ecosystem.
But what is a DART (DUSK Asset Reference Token)?
According to MiCA, an Asset Reference Token (“ART”) is a token aimed to maintain a stable value via referencing/backed by one or more assets. Typically, a combination of assets (for example, a token referring to gold, or to several currencies or to other crypto-assets).
There are several requirements towards an ART, visible in the picture below:
MiCA makes specific reference to Issuers of asset-referenced tokens, who are subject to more stringent requirements than other crypto-assets due to the increased risks they pose. Algorithmic ‘stablecoins’ (as well as algorithmic crypto-assets) are also covered by the Regulation.
As soon as more info is available on how DUSK will implement their DART, we will come back to you with a new blog post. We are confident the Dusk team will find an elegant solution to implement their ART!

Dusk ITN 1st target reached!
The dusk team had a huge response from the community to run nodes. With over 2000 respondents they had to put in a hard cap for phase 1 of the rolling ITN. The initial target of 100 nodes is already overachieved with x2.5 and potentially x20. We were early birds and managed to secure a slot in the first 100 nodes. So we can keep you updated on next steps!
Provisioners now have time till December 7th to get their node up and running, stake their tDusk and participate in consensus. If the node is up for 75%+ of the time, you will get send a equal share of the 100k Dusk (€9000 valued at time of writing), made available by the team.

Dusk Incentivised testnet is live
Since one week the ITN is live. So far a great success with over 2000 applicants and around 250 nodes up and running.
The team already found some issues they are working on. The testnet even grinded to a halt for 24h, which was resolved quickly.
Next to the setup of your node you can also configure your wallet to run on your node to enable you to stake and claim your rewards fully decentralized. Phase 1 of ITN is to setup your node, participate in consensus and have your node up and running for 75% of the duration of phase 1. Current start date is december 7th,

Road Towards Dusk mainnet!
In 2022 Dusk started with the rollout of their Public Testnet. This is split up in 4 phases. During these phases more and more functionality will be added to the network. Including PoC's and lighthouse use cases.
In March 2022 phase 1 - Daybreak launched, which showed the results of 3 years hard work by the team.
We are currently in phase 2 - Daylight, which includes the incentivized testnet, where the community can run their own nodes and get rewards!
Phase 3 - ALBA, with the launch of confidential Smart Contracts &
Phase 4 - Aurora, enabling security tokens and application, will complete the testnet.
When all 4 test phases are completed the expectation is mainnet will be available soon after.
