My great-grandfather just died. I'm sitting in hospice, listening to my great-grandmother talk to him. I don't know why I'm writing this. I'm supposed to be doing homework. I'm supposed to be spending time with my family. I don't know why I'm doing this.

I'm three feet away from him. Every time I look up from my computer I see him. I hate looking up. Why do I keep looking up?

I'm so used to reading books, hearing descriptions of what a person looks like when their gone. I've seen it. Abuela, great-grandma Irene, Uncle Robert. I've seen it. They could simply be sleeping, except that their chest isn't rising and falling, their heart isn't beating, their minding isn't thinking.

This is different. He's pale. So fucking pale, his skin a yellowish color. His mouth is open. I hate that. I hate that I can't pretend he's sleeping. I hate watching Nana standing over her dead husband.

You are not the first person I've lost, but you are the first I'll truly miss. The first time grief has touched my heart.

Thank you for teaching me to drive the golf cart.

If Espio had a crush on you, we would not tell a single soul. But that doesn't matter because Vector would be a very poor detective and friend if he didn't notice Espio's feelings for you. He will tease the poor ninja relentlessly, but at least has the decency to not do it in front of you. After several months of this Vector gets fed up and starts playing the role of wingman.

He will push Espio to confess almost any chance he gets, hyping him anyway he can. And if Espio decides he wants to tell you? I imagine Vector gently shoving him toward you with a "Go get her", only to face palm when Espio chickens-out last second.

I can totally see Vector getting so fed-up that he just lock you two in a closet together until Espio confesses. He's super proud of his friend though.

The teasing only gets worse after you're together, but you can shut the crocodile up by bringing up Vanilla.

Espio’s holding you. 

Maybe he’s comforting you, maybe the two of you are making out, either way you’re in his arms. 

Either way, he just wants you to be closer. 

He’ll wrap his tail around you

Depending on the position you’re in, it’ll either be around your waist or legs 

He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it at first

But when he does he’s a flustered mess. 

He’ll slowly unwrap his tail

That’s when you notice 

You look up at him

Maybe you ask him not to stop, maybe you tease him about it

Either way he’s red as a tomato

He’ll bury his face in the crook of your neck, his reply different depending on the situation/your reaction

Can be read as platonic or romantic, leans more toward platonic. Though, I had romantic in mind. Fluff, full on fluff.

I heard that the Sonic ages got retconned, I don't know if that's true (I live under a rock) but I'm going to go off the original ages

Espio: 16

Vector: 20

Charmy: 6

Reader: 14-16

I imagine it’s for a language class. 

He speaks sixteen languages, I highly doubt there’s a school that offers one he doesn’t already know. 

He didn’t even want to take one for this reason

But he needs it to graduate 

So here we are

He notices you’re struggling fairly quickly, he’s very perceptive

But he didn’t know how bad it was

Until Vector saw you had an F on your report card

He’s not a stickler for grades, as long as you’re passing, he’s fine with it

But you weren’t passing

So Espio offered to help you

He’ll try to figure out why you’re struggling, especially if you’re an A/B average student

 Bad teacher? Disruptive class? You need a different method to learn things?

He figures getting to the root of problem will help you more in the long run

But he doesn’t really know what he’s doing, he’s never taught anyone before

He gets the hang of it rather quickly though

He’s incredibly patient with you, willing to redo things as many times as you need

He’ll make sure you take breaks, so you don’t get overwhelmed

If you do, he’ll do his best to help you calm down

But comfort is way out of his alley, so he’s very awkward about it

He’ll be so proud of you when you eventually get your grade up

But don’t expect any praise when Charmy and Vector are around
