If Espio had a crush on you, we would not tell a single soul. But that doesn't matter because Vector would be a very poor detective and friend if he didn't notice Espio's feelings for you. He will tease the poor ninja relentlessly, but at least has the decency to not do it in front of you. After several months of this Vector gets fed up and starts playing the role of wingman.

He will push Espio to confess almost any chance he gets, hyping him anyway he can. And if Espio decides he wants to tell you? I imagine Vector gently shoving him toward you with a "Go get her", only to face palm when Espio chickens-out last second.

I can totally see Vector getting so fed-up that he just lock you two in a closet together until Espio confesses. He's super proud of his friend though.

The teasing only gets worse after you're together, but you can shut the crocodile up by bringing up Vanilla.

Turns out all I needed to get this fic finished was a road trip!

As Amy comes back from her trip of giving her love to the world, Sonic has to figure out a different kind of love: romantic love. Yeah, the sappy, gushy kind. He knows he cares about Amy, but does he love her? And if he does, is it the same as the way she loves him? And does that even matter?

Sonic always went out running whenever he had to think seriously about something. The wind blew through him, clearing his mind, and the steady beat of his sneakers on the ground beneath him helped him focus. And he certainly needed that focus now.

Amy was coming back from her trip today.

Sonic put on a burst of speed and once again checked the text she'd sent yesterday on his wrist communicator. I'm finally coming home tomorrow! My trip has been so good 😊 😊 😊 I have so much to tell you! Hope to see ya soon! followed by a bunch of heart and smiley face emojis.

Normally Sonic would've immediately shot back a Can't wait to see you! or maybe a smiley and a thumbs up. But the realization that Amy was finally coming back-- and right away-- had caused him to freeze up in panic.

Not that he wasn't excited to have Amy back. He was super excited. He'd missed her a lot while she was gone, especially with Tails off on his own adventures as well and Knuckles back on Angel Island for the time being. Amy had been gone on her trip for a while now. Sharing her love with the world.

He had gotten a few chances to see her, their paths crossing as they both traveled their own paths across the globe. Like in Chu-nan, where they met up to watch the New Year's fireworks together. A fun, perfect night. But besides those brief encounters, Amy was out doing her own thing.

And Sonic missed her.

But now she was coming back! Which meant that really important thinking-- which he'd promised himself he'd do over the many weeks that Amy was gone (and hadn't done)-- needed to be done NOW. He couldn't push it back any more.

He had to figure out what his relationship with Amy was going to be like moving forward.

It was only a decision that would affect literally the rest of his life. He could definitely get it all figured out on just one run. Heh.

Mini Fanfic #1241: Speed, Wholesome Recovery with the Family (Sonic)

5:34 p.m. at the Chaotix Family's Household's Living Room.........

Charmy and Cheese, now wearing sunglasses, suits, and ties, roll over and hide themselves at their respective sides of the living room's entrance. They then proceed to look around the area in front of them. Other than Cream sitting at the sofa, happily waving at them, there's really nothing in the living room that raise any suspicion for the time being.

Satisfied with how the room look, the two self-proclaimed bodyguards nodded at one another before turning around to their escort and him cheeky thumbs up

Charmy: The coast is clear, boss!

Cheese: Chao Chao.

Espio: (Already Has a Deadpinned Look on his Face While Standing There, All Patched Up) What would I ever do without you two? (Follows is Two "Bodyguards" to the Living Room)

Charmy: (Puts on a Proud Smile on his Face Alo g with Cheese) No need to thank us here, our faithful cilent.

Cheese: Chao Chaochao Chao Chao-

Charmy/Cheese: (Immediately Stops Espio in his Tracks) HALT!/CHAO!

Espio: (Eyes Widened atvthe Sudden Stretching Halt) What? What happened?

Charmy. Stay right here for a second. (Walks Over to the Sofa and Takes a Cushion Out of the Sofa) Your seat needs to go through a thorough examination.

Espio: (Raises an Eyebrow) You really think a seat cushion would hurt me?

Charmy: (Starts Straightening and Fluffing the Cushion Up) Hey, you'd be surprised by how much damage these bad boys can cause to people's tushies. (Forms a Teasing Smirk on his Face) Especially for those as big as yours~

Cream and Cheese begins to giggle softly at Charny's wise cracking joke to Espio's dispense.

Espio: (Comically Glares at Charmy) Shut it!

Charmy: And....there! Nice and fluffy! (Puts the Cushion Back Down on It's Spot Right Next to Cream's) Just for you, boss!

Espio: My lifesav-ER!? (Suddenly Gets Picked Up and Carried to his Seat by Cheese)

Espio: Mmhm- (Suddenly Felt Cream Hugging Him Before Chuckling a Little) Glad to see you're feeling better at least.

Cream: Thank you!~ I'm so happy you're back in this house with me!~ (Gets Up and Gives Espio Four Kisses on the Cheek Before Sitting Back Down Before Frowning) I don't like seeing you get hurt out there, Espio. (Then Starts Pouting) And I definitely don't like those three bullies that did this to you at all.

Cream: (Gives Espio a Reassuring Smile) There's no need to apologize. You being here, safe is all that matters to us now. Mommy made extra sure of that, huh? (Playfully Winks at Espio)

The two married couple share a kiss on the lips before the dinging sound from the microwave is heard.

Vanilla: Ooh, popcorn's ready!~

Vector: About time too! (Walks Over to The Microwave and Take the Popcorn Bag Out of There) I'm starving here.

Vanilla: Honey, you just ate a chicken sandwich an hour ago.

Vector: (Dumps the Bag of Fresh and Popped Popcorn Down on the Blue Bow) Yeah, but I wouldn't exactly call that the ideal meal to eat on movie night, you know? Charmy: (Simply Nodded as Well) 100%!~

The two boys gives Espio the most innocent looking smiles they can both muster as they blink their eyes right. on cue.

Espio, on the other hand, stares at the two with uncertainty in his eyes as he begins to get himself up from his seat until Vanilla stops him with her hand on his shoulder.

Vanilla: Oh no don't, mister~ You're supposed to seat down and rest, remember?

Cream: (Gives Espio a Sisterly Pout) That's right! (Went Back to Hugging her Big Brother) You owe me cuddles!

Vector: Want me to go and check for you, champ?

Espio: ('Sighs in Defeat') No. I thought of an alternative. (Forms and Speed Through a Few Hand Signs Before Screaming Out.....) Shadow Clone!

Espio summons his identical clone standing right beside the edge of the sofa. This in turn, causes everyone in the room to be amazed.

Everyone: Oooooooh!~

Vector: It's like it's his twin brother.

Vanilla: (Happily Claps her Hands to Espio) Very lovely indeed, dear!~

Espio: (Simply Bows to his Mother) Thank you. (Turns to Espio) You mind going in my room and see if it's clean or not?

The clone shakes his head before sprinting off to his creator's room. It only took a few seconds before it returns back to it's post.

Clone: It's clean.

Espio: From top to bottom?

Clone: Yup. (Disappears in Thin Smoke)

Espio: (Genuinely Surprised by the End Result Given to Him) .....Huh.

Charmy: Told ya so!

Cheese: (Pulls his Sunglasses and Eye Lid Down to Taunt Espio) Nyaaaah!~

Charmy: (Pumps his Fist Up in the Air as He and Cheese Make Their Way to the Sofa) Now let's get this movie night started.

Vector: Hooold it. Before we do any of that, we gotta talk about everything that happened earlier first.

Vanilla: (Simply Nodded in Agreement to That Plan) I agree. It's best we get it out of the way now than having it plague our minds later on.

Espio: I see no issue in doing that.

Cream: Me neither.

Charmy turns to Cheese, now shrugging at him, before sighing in defeat and understanding..

Charmy: 'Kayyy. If we gotta, we gotta. Who were those three jerks that hurt you in first place, Espio?

Espio: Zavok, Zazz, Zomom. Three members of the six members of imposing group, the Deadly Six.

Vector: Deadly Si- (Immediately Comes to the Realization) Hey, wait a minute. Blaze told me about those guys a while back! They're the ones responsible for trying to steal her Sol Emeralds away from her kingdom in the past.

Vanilla: (Frowns in Displeasure of Thinking About Another Member of the Deadly Six Group) I bet that Zik person you faced is their leader this whole time, isn't he?

Vector: No, I think he was more of a founder of the gig if anything.

Espio: Correct. Zavok's their leader. He's just as cruel and ruthless as now as when we first met back at the temple. Always took every chance he had to belittle me and my worth. (Rolls his Eyes) Probably due to me challenging his "precious master" all the time......

Charmy: (Comes Up With Something) Wait. Is the reason he came after you was because of that fight you and that old guy had on that bridge? (Raises an Eyebrow and Crossing his Arms Together While Thinking) Or was it he jealous that you got more attention from him in comparison?

Espio: (Shrugs) Either one of these reasons can be possible really. But if there's one thing for certain, he detest my mere existence from very beginning and the feeling has been mutual ever since. ('Sigh') It's unfortunate that it'll probably won't be the last we'll ever see of him and the others......

Espio suddenly felt Cream's hand placed down on top of his on the sofa as she gives him a reassuring but very confident smile on her face.

Cream: That's okay. This just mean we'll be more than ready to face those bullies again head on next time!

Vanilla: (Happily Nodded in Agreement) That's right. We'll keep making them think twice about ever messing with this family again if we have to.

Vector: Vanilly, I think you Hot Fang persona alone can scream them straight outta the globe.

Vanilla: (Giggles Softly) Perhaps~(Places the Back of her Hand onto her Forehead in a Overly Dramatic Fashion) But what if those terrible fiends ever managed to harm little 'Ole me!?~ (Lays Herself Right Side of Vector's Chest With a Seductive Smirk on her Face) Surely a handsome, strong gentleman just as yourself could fight for my honor once more, can you?~

Vector: (Forms a Cheeky Grin on his Face) Heck yeah! I ain't gonna let anyone bad mouth my wife and get away with it. (Grab Hold of Both of Vanilla's Hands and Smirks Back at Her) Especially if that said wife gets more and more gorgeous and irresistible by every second of the day~

The two married lovebirds giggles as they share a romantic eskimo kiss with one another, causing Charmy and Cheese to stick their tongues out in digust, Cream to giggle softly at their cuteness, and Espio to sigh at whole entirely before smiling a bit.

Espio: Glad to see you feeling now, Mother. 'Least I hope you are.

Vanilla: (Smiles Softly at Espio) I am, baby. Even more so now that you're in here under our protection.

Espio: (Simply Nodded) Good. It pains me to see you sad. Or.....cry for that manner.

Vanilla: (Gasps as Her Heart Begins to Melt) You really mean that?~

Have some rants about my fav Sonic ships

Trust me when I say this is not what I intended to do for Valentine's day, but my access to the proper materials for my next big project is currently fairly limited, so instead have this (I didn't think I had so much to say I got a bit carried away 👉👈). This is heavy with aro/ace/aroace discourse because as an aroace myself I cannot help it, and huh, reminder that this is just for fun and everyone's opinions are accepted around here as long as it's respectful :3

Espilver is so wholesome I am willing to temporaly remove the aromantic label I put on both these guys. And when an aroace person is ready to drop this label for a ship you know it has to be good. (They're still both asexual idc tho)

I am prone to shipping Sonic with pretty much everyone (elligible for that at least) while thinking he's the biggest aroace mood ever (but I know I am not alone on that one)

Since I've started posting Sonic fanart, there has not been a SINGLE sonadow ship art, but I still really love this ship. Like it's mostly what got me into Sonic in the first place but I don't want to draw it (honestly I think my mind is just drawn to less popular things, I mean sonadow is already everywhere on my dashboard)

Because (except for espilver) my top ships are sonjet and surgamy, I'm basically shipping your two main hedgehogs who are sometimes implied to have feelings for eachother in a gay relationship with a green person with spiky hair and an attitude, and I thought it was funny because it was NOT on purpose xD

Speaking of sonjet I have like three different timelines existing in my mind with this, because I love the "they never dated but they are definitely exes now"/"they tried smt some time ago it didn't work out" narrative, but also the one where Sonic can be the perfect boyfriend and respond to Jet's needs and issues I imagined for him, and also the one where Jet is a total girlfailure of a man who tries to rizz up someone who has zero clue.

I have thought over and over about Blaze ships and my mind just blocks it. At first I thought it was just Silvaze because I was overprotective of my Silver's orientation (when I first saw it I thought "yeah he's aroace", and I'm not a fan of shipping a guy and a girl just because they interact with eachother and are close). But it's everything. Sonaze? I mean she blushed around him on several occasions, so what? I feel like she's just not used to social interaction. Blazamy? I see the fluff, I see the awesome lesbian couple (and I'm an Utena fan, I gotta love the pink/purple yuri), but it doesn't light up anything in me. Are they any other Blaze ships? Idk, but I can't see her with anyone romantically. Never has a character given me so much aroace vibes that the very forces of nature are preventing me to ship her.

Vectilla activates my brain chemistry like crazy. TF you mean the only "sega-approved" ship is between two grown ass people who are not even part of the main character group? And one is a single mother too? Like it's very simple but it's already a norm breaker in my opinion. Though usually a bunch of male characters have their own personally-crafted love interest, they fall in love for no reason and the love is immediately reciprocal because of course it is (*cough* looking at you ninjago). I think it also work because both Vector and Vanilla have their own things going on, and the romance is just a nice plus. And since Team Chaotix is already the peak of Sonic found family, it's also cool to think about the shenanigans with the children (aka Espio, Cream and Charmy). I am a strong Vectilla shipper and I will make you care about them >:)

So,

There's this SonElise fluff pitch that used to have me melting years ago, back during my first shipping phase for these two. Now that I'm back on board -- on board enough to currently be buckling in to write a YMGH-spec Big Damn SonElise Longfic™ for them, where I fully intend to work this in -- it still makes me straight-up dizzy with how much I love it. I may or may not have passed out a couple weeks back after thinking about it a little too much. Now that most of my work for this semester is off my back, it's taking over my whole brain again.

It goes like this: With Sonic's permission, Elise plays with Sonic's ears because she's incredibly curious about them, in a wholly innocent way.

Think about it. What's the likelihood that Elise has seen a Mobian in person before Sonic? After all those years holed up in the castle, odds are she's probably read about them, but Sonic & co. may very well be the first ones to step into her orbit. Not all Mobians have (obviously) visible ears either! Many do, but there's always the chance that if she has seen one before, and they could've been like Knuckles, Espio or Vector, and not have any pinnae or anything of the sort.

I recognize that I add in this quick sidenote at the not-insignificant risk of alienating some fellows here in the little SonElise corner of Tumblr, but stick with me for just a moment. This can even work in AUs where Elise is a Mobian. Suppose Soleanna was full of Mobians of an avian variety, just to name one potential instance and get it out of the way. Birds don't have pinnae at all! Bam! She's still got a reason to be intrigued by his ears!

Whatever form she takes, I imagine Elise would find his ears fascinating, especially with the way they move and flick, reacting to sounds around him. If you're as much of a softie for Sonic being vunerable around Elise as I am, you can have him just laying on the ground, or in her lap, staring up at her, making that same bashful grin from the cutscene after he catches her fall from Eggman's ship, all while she toys around with his ears. I'm especially a sucker for the idea that the little blue guy is mentally spiraling through the whole thing, joyfully lost for words, occasionally just squirming or whimpering due to his ears being sensitive. Elise would probably think to ask and make sure he's not uncomfortable or hurt if she gets the impression she might be overdoing it; she'd never want to hurt somebody, and she'd stop immediately if he were to ask her to.

I think my favorite thing about this is how Elise's nascent powers could augment the scenario. Suppose Elise having Iblis sealed inside her makes her touch especially warm, or makes her give off a lot of radiant heat, which just makes Sonic become more sluggish and melt over it more and more.

I cannot wait to get real deep into Young Hearts Forever so I can flesh out a take on this whole thing. Enjoy a little snippet from a very early draft of a scene with this fluffy goodness:

In the echelon of the most nerve-wracking moments of all his adventures—dashing over the deluge of rank sewage that drowned Station Square, courtesy of Chaos; plummeting from the ARK in an escape pod rigged to explode, hanging his hopes on the crazy chance that he could induce Chaos Control with a fake Emerald; being cornered in the heights of Grand Metropolis by Amy, Cream and Big, threatened with the good ol’ ball-and-chain if he didn’t fork over a pair of pets he didn’t have and had not ever seen—somehow, laying his head in the lap of the most beautiful girl in his world, letting her stroke his ears, gush about how cute she found them while the stupendous heat of her body made him feel like he’d melt into a puddle if she kept it up much longer, trounced all of them.

I can't honestly say something that hasn't been said before, because this ship is massive. And for a good reason. Its just the epitome of all the things I like. Rivals to friends to lovers, red and blue, opposing yet complementary personalities, good chemistry, the list goes on and on.

Its just that mutual respect yet banter that always gets me. I've TRIED abandoning ship, trust me. But this ship was just tailored to my tastes, and i cant get rid of the brainrot so much that it has become a problem :)

2. TAILSMO:

MMMMM THE PAIN. I love this ship because its so innocent and cutsey while being absolutely depressing!

Cosmo deserved SO MUCH MORE than what she got, and to this day it makes me so sad we never got Sonic X season 4 in where Cosmo comes back as a robot or something. The seed she left at the end too! They Absolutely wanted to bring her back and i will forever be sad about it.

Just the duality of the same concept but diferent attitude about it.

They're both guardians on their own way, but while Blaze thinks its a burden Sonic Thinks its a blessing. The parallels are just YUMMY. And also Blaze deserves a golden retriever bf.

They were canon, okay? When i was little i remember loving them together while reading the archie comics. They were so sappy and Sonic was OOC but like, they made me happy. And that hasn't faded yet.

Remember when I asked you about the Tangle as a member of Team Chaotix AU? Hear are from ideas I have from it

-She's Charmy's main babysitter when Espio and Vector are busy, which makes Charmy absolutely attached to her and sees her as a sister

-Every weekend, they play Go Fish (Reference to when they played it during the Battle for Angel Island arc)

-Tangle sees Vector as a father figure, into which she calls him Dad sometimes on accident, but Vector would just shed manly tears because he's a proud papa

-Charmy would sometimes use Tangle's tail as a pillow when he needs to sleep, and either Vector or Espio use it as a stress toy when they're overworked, cuz who can resist all that fluff

-Tangle and Espio have a master and student relationship as Espio teaches Tangle a lot about his Ninjitsu, but as well as a bro and sis dynamic.

As the choir continues singing, Dedede starts stomping and dancing around to the loud, upbeat gospel music that is playing behind him. It even got Morrigan joining in to dance alongside with him.

"Do you think we're ever going to need a bigger bed?"

Pensively Silver studies the bed he and Espio have found themselves in- or rather, Espio's bed, really. Sure, when Silver had decided to stay in the past for good, the chameleon gallantly offered that the hedgehog was welcome to sleep in it. Together with him, as Silver would find out that very night; it had made a great day only better. But a lot of time has passed since then, and where the two of them had previously fitted perfectly snugly on the same mattress while laying on their backs as fluff and scales brushed together...

Sparks of cyan tugging Espio a bit closer so he doesn't topple right to the ground, what with how precariously he's teetering right at the edge of the bed, Silver hums. "You know, because of this."

Espio for his part merely raises an eyebrow as if he didn't nearly eat carpet two seconds ago. "Why? The two of us fit quite nicely, don't we?" follows, a gesture past their bodies following. Their bodies that are absolutely a bit taller and larger than when they met, and thus Silver pointedly prods Espio on his horn.

"You said I got broader shoulders. And I definitely got taller, too."

"I have not missed that," Espio, still the tallest between the two of them but secretly fearing to lose that spot, Silver heard from Vector once, nods sagely. "There is just one problem, love. Even if we need it... we can't pay for it."

"...Hm. Okay, good point." With how the Chaotix seem cursed to experience financial woes any other day, Silver can easily piece together that a whole new bed is perhaps not a main priority right now. That means they need to adapt until then; nothing he isn't used to, luckily. But... Scooting backwards as far as he can the hedgehog grimaces as his spines hits the wall far too quickly. Espio can lay down like this, if the both of them are on their sides-

Which allows for opportunities, Silver realises as his grimace flips right into a little grin. Promptly he scrambles around so he faces the wall instead, demanding psychokinesis tugging Espio right against the curve of his body. "But this will solve that, no?"

Espio knocks against him, a huff of breath sinking into Silver's mane as the chameleon flounders. "Silver-! Well, possibly," the response comes, followed by a bemoaning "However, I always sleep on my back, so we do need to find something for that."

Contently huffing as Espio's arm wraps itself around Silver's body the hedgehog nods. "I can sleep on your stomach tonight, then."

"Tenshi," the bemoaning-er response follows, "you also got heavier."

"So did you," Silver wastes no time in retorting, ears flicking madly. Not his fault that he's getting bigger and stronger by the day! But from what little he can crane his head around to glare at Espio he can easily glean the more amused little look on his beloved's face, a peck pressed between the two large quills on his head.

"Perhaps we can create something ourselves, with old furniture. We've got time to spare, after all. And then we can sleep in spacious comfort once more."

"First cuddles," Silver smugly orders, because he's found quite the comfy position like this, and he's not going to let Espio go until he's got his share of affection for rescuing the other's very life just now and also payment for these horrible teases. Luckily they can still fit on the bed in this way...

But if they do not anymore one day, he's really going to demand Espio get them more space to sleep in, Silver promises to himself.

Anything to safeguard these cuddles.
