Emergency commissions
Some of you know what happened and where I’ve been, I’m leaving on Monday and going to a temporary supported accommodation until I can get my permanent flat because I’m going in  pretty much at the end of the month and that’s when this accommodation takes payment, I have to pay next months service charge and currently I can’t afford to which I’m really embarrassed about because in the grand scheme of things, it’s not that expensive  since that’s all I need to pay a month.  Without going into much detail- Four two character chibi pieces would cover it, I’m opening commissions again so hopefully  come next week, i won’t have to worry about it.
Even if you can’t help, which I completely understand, sharing this really does help. Thank you 🥰

💕 English is not my first language. Please, excuse me for any typos /or grammatical errors. 💕 Special thanks to @secretaryunpaid and @storyofmychoices. As usual, moments with Sunny are dedicated to @jeanele.💕 This is my submission for @choicesficwriterscreations ‘Fics of the week’

Lost in his thoughts, Ernest was on his way to Earl’s office. Turning the corner, the young man saw a bizarre figure running toward him. When it got closer, he recognized it was Sunny. The energetic pug had something on top of his head.
Beatrice was running after the pug. “Sinclaire stop him!” she yelled down the hall.
Ernest grabbed Sunny and picked him up. He lifted the dog to his face and studied it carefully. Sunny was wearing a knitted bonnet. As if that wasn’t bizarre enough, the bonnet had two hearts, one on each side of the pug ears.
“What kind of torture is she inflicting to you, buddy?” Ernest asked the dog. The pug licked his nose.
Meanwhile, Beatrice reached them, panting. “Thank you, Sinclaire. I have been chasing him for a while,” she thanked, taking Sunny from his arms, “Sorry, baby. I need to take another picture. Don’t close your eyes this time… Can you do that for me, please?’ Beatrice asked, matching her puppy eyes and kissing the dog’s head. “Sinclaire, make yourself useful and hold him again to take the pictures.” The girl took several photos until she was satisfied with the final result. “Take two steps back, Sinclaire… That’s it… Perfect! Thank you, you were a great assistant!”
“What are you doing to the poor creature?”

Shining Through The Shadows
[Bryce Lahela x Olivia Hadley Masterlist]
Pairing: Bryce Lahela x Olivia Hadley (F!OC) Book: Open Heart, present day Word Count: ~1,200 Rating/Warnings: general, no warnings
Synopsis: Olivia prepares a special eclipse viewing party for her patients.
Tumblr media
"Where should I put this?" Bryce questioned as he carried a plastic foldable table beneath his arm into the hospital's healing garden.
"I was thinking right over here," Olivia gestured. "Near the entrance."
Within seconds, he had it open and set up.
"Thanks!" Olivia rocked up on her tiptoes, placing a kiss on his cheek, before turning back to the task at hand.
"Anything else I can help with?"
"Bring me that bag over there?" She motioned her head toward one of the blankets she had set up as she placed a yellow tablecloth over the table. "Grab that basket too, please."
"Is this all just glasses?" Bryce dug through the bag. "How many do you have here?"
"100... give or take some more," she offered casually while organizing a display of Capri Sun, Sun Chips, and Moon Pies on the table.
"I thought you only had 31 kids that could come out?"
"And the nurses and the doctors," Olivia defended.
"But more than 100? Did you leave any for the other departments?" he teased.
"Yes!" She stuck her tongue out playfully toward him. "Besides, the children need at least 2 each."
"Dare I ask why?" He handed Olivia the basket, which she placed on the table beside the snacks.
"For their stuffed animals and dolls," she answered as though it were common knowledge. Carefully, she placed the glasses in the basket, smiling as she continued, "Of course, they need protection, too."
"I'm not sure that's true," he laughed.
"Will you be the one telling them their stuffed friend isn't real so they don't need protection?"
"Not a chance. Ramsey might, though—we'll have to keep him away," Bryce decided with a chuckle.
Tumblr media
"Woah," the ten-year-old Christopher marveled at how the healing garden had transitioned into a picnic area with snacks and art stations.
The effervescent seven-year-old Savannah bounced with excitement, pulling on her mom's hand. "There's clay! And paint! And crayons! And snacks! This is the best day ever!"
Her mother smiled down at her. Despite all the medical challenges her daughter had faced, she never let it dull her spirit. "Looks like you had a lot of choices, my little Picasso. Where'd you like to start?
One by one, the children entered the garden with their parents. Nurses and doctors mingled throughout, guiding them through the art choices, each station allowing them to explore the eclipse with different art mediums.
As 2:00 approached, Olivia called all the children back together to start their viewing party.
"We are very lucky to be able to come out here today and see something really special," Olivia began, her eyes wide with excitement as she spoke with the children.
"Who has seen a shadow before?"
All of the children raised their hands.
"What is the biggest shadow you've ever seen?"
"My dad's really tall so he has a really long shadow," one child called out.
"The shadow of the playground by my house is big in the afternoon," another shared.
"You have a shadow right there, Dr. Olivia!" Savannah pointed eagerly to the ground beside her.
"That's right! We all make shadows. Most things leave behind a shadow," Olivia explained. "My shadow is created because I block sunlight from getting to this area. Did you know there is something that looks kind of small but is actually really big and can make day look like night?"
The kids looked around, whispering to their parents in surprise.
"That's what's going to happen today. During a Solar Eclipse, the moon moves in front of the sun and blocks sunlight from reaching Earth." She held up a model to help demonstrate. "When the moon is in front of the sun, its shadow will make some places get really dark. Dark enough to see stars."
"I don't like the dark," Noah whimpered, holding his stuffed Koala a little tighter.
"You don't have to worry," she gently reassured him. "Just like my shadow only makes part of the area dark, it's the same with the moon,"
"So we won't see stars?" Savannah frowned.
"Not until it's actually nighttime. Sorry, Sav! Where we are, we will only see part of the eclipse." Olivia held up an Oreo, twisting the top off to expose the frosting. "In just a few minutes, the moon—" she held up the half without the frosting, "—and the sun—," she held up the half with the icing, "—are going to cross paths." She moved the "moon" half slowly in front of the "sun" half. "As the moon moves, it covers up more and more sunlight. With our special glasses to help protect our eyes, we will get to see the sun seem to disappear until it's just a sliver. It'll still look bright outside, but if we put on special glasses we can see that it'll really look like this."
The kids marveled in excitement and curiosity, eagerly discussing the event with their parents.
"Me, nurse Laura, nurse Tim, and Dr. Bryce will be around to give you glasses. You must wear them anytime you look up at the sun, okay? Can you give me a big thumbs up if you can do that for me?" The kids did as requested. "Great!"
The doctors and nurses moved through the group, passing out glasses to each group.
"Here you go." Bryce knelt near Savannah, offering her a pair of glasses.
The young girl looked around her blanket, raising one finger at a time as she counted. She held her hand toward him. "We need four, please."
"Four?" Bryce looked around, his brow raising curiously.
"Dr. Olivia said everyone needs glasses," she nodded to agree with her previous statement. "Me, Mommy, Teddy, and my American Girl doll."
"You are absolutely right; that is four!" Bryce shook his head with a smile. "How could I have counted wrong?"
"Maybe you were distracted by Dr. Olivia," she smiled. "She's so nice and pretty."
"She really is, isn't she?" His gaze flickered to Olivia, who was showing another patient how to wear the glasses.
"You should go hold her hand. She would like that," Savannah whispered with a giggle.
"You think?" His eyes widened in consideration.
Savannah nodded excitedly.
"I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the tip," Bryce winked as he continued on his way.
Tumblr media
As the eclipse began and all the children were busy watching in amazement, Bryce slipped his hand into Olivia's as she watched over them. "You are incredible, absolutely incredible."
"It's nothing." She shook her head, trying to dismiss him.
"Liv, look at them! All of this, this is you! None of this would be possible without you."
"Anyone could have organized this."
"Maybe, but they didn't. You did!" He took her other hand in his, turning into her. "You made sure these kids got to experience something they wouldn't have without you. You made understanding the science relatable for them. This is something they're never going to forget. You gave them something special to remember."
Her face warmed under his compliments. Her gaze shifted toward the children engaged in viewing the once-in-a-lifetime experience, their parents beside them sharing in the moment. "They deserve this and so much more. They're so strong and so brave." Her eyes threatened to tear up, knowing that for some, they wouldn't have many other big days ahead of them.
"They're so lucky to have you, Liv, and so am I." He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "There's no one else I'd want to share this with."
"I feel the same about you," Olivia smiled, wrapping her arms around him. After a moment, the pair turned their attention to the heavens and the celestial event growing in front of them, their hands laced together between them.

Oh. My. Gosh. This was hilarious!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Seriously Trystan with the reorganizing of the food would have annoyed me to no end. Emma you are a patient lady!! I would have possibly dumped a handfull of sour gummies into the salty popcorn juuust to see his reaction 😅🤭
Oh, and the home video was brilliant!! Also, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the Bette Midler Hocus Pocus reference!! It is my absolute favorite Halloween classic I watch every year with my good friend. 🥰😍🥹

Now I need a part 2: Trystan's home videos provided by the lovely Mags 🤭
Love your Emma and Trystan, and loved this fic!!! 💛
The Secret History
Tumblr media
Book: Crimes of Passion
Pairing: m!Trystan Thorne x Emma Rose (F!MC)
Rating: General audiences
Word count: 638
Summary: Trystan is planning a special movie night. Only, they're not actually watching a movie.
A/N: I wrote this last night on my phone, but I was too tired to transcribe it. For @inlocusmads, who gave me the prompt "There is a method to my madness" "Oh for heaven's sake-" "It's a three step process actually." Drabble 18 of my 30 days of drabbles.
Tumblr media
Anyone who knows Trystan Thorne knows this: he isn’t one to do things by halves. And that involves preparing for movie nights.
“We’re just going to watch a movie,” Emma complains, exasperated, when he moves the bowl of (salty) popcorn half an inch further from the (sour) candy. Again.
“No, my dear. We’re going to watch something much more interesting. Besides, there is a method to my madness.”
She runs a hand through her hair. “Oh, for heaven’s sake.”
“It’s a three-step process, actually. First: ensure you have enough food.” He waves a hand in the direction of the loaded coffee table. “Achieved. Second: everything must be in perfect order. The salted and sweet popcorn must be on opposite sides of the table.”
“Please tell me you already managed that. I can’t keep watching you organize the snacks.”
“Already done.”
“Thank God.”
“And third.” He points at the couch. “Ensure that the cushions are in perfect shape.”
Emma drops her head to her hands. “I’m never watching a movie with you again. Wait.” She peers up at him. “You said we were going to watch something more interesting than a movie.”
The corners of his mouth kick up. “Did I? Interesting turn of phrase.”
“Trystan, what are you up to?”
“My dearest Emma, why would you think I’m up to something?”
“Because I know you, and that gleam in your eyes never bodes well.”
“Oh yes. There is that. Well.” He sits and pats the spot on the couch next to him. “Let’s watch some TV.”
Still suspicious, she takes her seat. “Out with it.”
“Out with what?”
“Whatever it is that has you so…” She looks for the right word. “Smirky.”
“Smirky, is it? Well, I suppose you have a right to know, seeing as it concerns you-.”
He takes the remote and presses play. Emma drops the fistful of popcorn she just grabbed. “Oh. Oh no. Please tell me that isn’t…”
“A fourteen-year-old Emma Rose, in a very youthful performance of the Scottish play.”
She covers her eyes. “Turn that off.”
“Not a chance.” But he hits pause, not wanting to miss a minute. “Why would you want me to?”
“Because.” Still covering her eyes with one hand, she tries to wrestle the remote from him. “That was my very first play. I’m wearing a witch costume…”
“With a hat?” He asks hopefully.
“Of course there’s a hat. I had artistic integrity.”
“Oh, I can’t wait to watch this.”
“My hair looks like I stuck my fingers in an outlet...”
“I’m sure it adds character.”
“I’m cackling…”
“Actually cackling or just laughing?”
“Cackling. Think Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus.”
He actually rubs his hands together. “This just keeps getting better.”
“And I sing. Or, well, chant.”
“So? I know you can sing.”
“Yeah, now. I couldn’t sing then. I fear for your windows. They might break.”
“I’ll replace them.”
She drops her hand. “There’s no talking you out of this, is there?”
“I'm afraid not.”
“Fine. Let’s watch teenage me make a fool of herself.”
“If you want, I can tell you embarrassing stories from my teenage years later.”
“Not quite the same unless you’re providing footage. Although…” A slow smile spreads on her face. “I could always text Marguerite.”
Trystan’s expression goes from indulgent to alarmed in two seconds flat. “Now, wait a minute.”
“Turnabout is fair play, my prince.”
He heaves a sigh. “All right. We can have another viewing session when you have that footage. But for now, can we watch this, please?”
“Wait!” She plucks a throw pillow and holds it in front of her face. “Okay, I’m ready.”
Trystan is already laughing when she hears her own voice, minus about fifteen years, begin to speak.
When shall we three meet again
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
Right. She’s texting Lydea, too.

Tyril hones his sword, his eyes on the horizon. Fae fish continue to appear every now and then, their scales glinting, and sea fireflies dance an intricate choreography that’s breathtaking in its splendor. The moon shines bright and clear against the depth of the sky, casting a pure glow on the deck of the Sun Maiden.
This description is just perfection!!! I want to live in that moment. The glistening water, the stars, fae fish, dancing fireflies... i beg any artist here to please please capture this scene!!! 🥹😍🥰
Tumblr media
Too bad he’s too caught up in thought to appreciate any of it.
Tyril!!! How can you miss out on this perfect moment?! 🙈
He’s still surprised by the strength of his reaction to her. It’s rare for him to crave someone at first sight. He rarely craves people: his infatuations tend to begin small, a mild interest that grows into something bigger and more intense as he gets to know its object. But as soon as he laid eyes on Raine, he wanted her.
Ooooh I love this!!! The intense, immediate craving of her. I am so here for it.
Tumblr media
He doesn’t like it. He can’t afford to lose control, not even of his own emotions. Perhaps especially not of his own emotions.
You are a gonner my dear Tyril. But seriously this drips of angsty internal conflict. This completely driven man, needing to control his destiny - especially after having lost control of his friendship with Kaya and his house's honor - realizing Raine could well be his weakness... (though he'll come to realise she is his strength!!)
“You can say you were thinking about me, Tyril,” she teases, unaware of the fact that her words are at least partially true. “I won’t judge you.”
I cackled!!! Little did she know!! 🤭
Tumblr media
She breaks off, a look on her face that he’s seen in his own reflection. It’s a look of regret. Of helplessness.
Ok this. THIS!!! The moment of realization of just how alike they are. How similarly driven by their quest. And when Tyril promises to help her fin Kade. My heart literally melted.
This was so, so beautiful!! 🥹
A Midnight Chat
Tumblr media
Book: Blades of Light and Shadow
Pairing: Tyril Starfury x F!human!MC
Rating: Teen
Word count: 613
Summary: Raine interrupts Tyril's reflections.
A/N: For @petalouda85 who gave me the prompt "fireflies." Drabble 19 of my 30 days of drabbles.
Tumblr media
Tyril hones his sword, his eyes on the horizon. Fae fish continue to appear every now and then, their scales glinting, and sea fireflies dance an intricate choreography that’s breathtaking in its splendor. The moon shines bright and clear against the depth of the sky, casting a pure glow on the deck of the Sun Maiden.
Too bad he’s too caught up in thought to appreciate any of it.
His mind, as usual, is on his mission. It has been almost a year since he set out on this quest, a year since he left Undermount, disgraced and betrayed. Since he lost his best friend to the darkness of the Shadow Court. And he has almost nothing to show for it except a few killings of people who were no more than pawns.
Perhaps his luck will turn now that he’s encountered this party of adventurers.
His new companions are… interesting, he thinks diplomatically. Determined, clearly, and not without abilities. He senses a tremendous amount of raw, if dormant, power from the priestess; and he thinks the rogue’s less reputable skills might prove useful.
Then there’s Raine.
He doesn’t like it. He can’t afford to lose control, not even of his own emotions. Perhaps especially not of his own emotions.
“Still watching the fae fish?” A voice asks, and for an absurd moment, he wonders if he summoned her.
“Not anymore.”
She walks up to him and rests her elbows on the railing. “Mind if I ask what’s on your mind?”
“You may ask. But I may choose not to answer.”
“You can say you were thinking about me, Tyril,” she teases, unaware of the fact that her words are at least partially true. “I won’t judge you.”
“If you must know, I was contemplating the requirements of my quest.”
“Considering your scowl, they might not be very nice.”
“Requirements are rarely ‘nice’.”
“You got me there. What are these requirements?”
He looks at the sea. “Control. Of myself, of my circumstances as much as possible.”
“That doesn’t seem like something that would be too hard for you.” When he turns to her, she waves a hand in his direction. “I mean, control seems to be your thing. Self-control at least. Of your circumstances…”
She breaks off, a look on her face that he’s seen in his own reflection. It’s a look of regret. Of helplessness.
“Yes?”
“Well. Are we ever truly in control of our circumstances?”
He leans against the railing. “Perhaps not completely, but I believe we can bend them to our will on occasion.”
“An optimist. I like it. Well.” She straightens and gives him a little wave. “I better go back to bed.”
“Raine.” He might not know her, but he thinks he knows what she needs right now. When she looks at him, he gives her a solemn look. “I will assist however I can in the search of your brother. You have my word.”
She smiles, a little sadly. “Thanks, Tyril. I appreciate that.”
Once she’s gone, Tyril’s thoughts don’t immediately turn back to his quest. Instead, he thinks back to his last words. He didn’t stop to think before he said them, which would alarm him on any other day. But now, remembering the look in Raine’s eyes, he can’t bring himself to regret them.

Preliminaries
Tumblr media
Book: Laws of Attraction
Pairing: Martin Vanderweil x Wind Velez (Genderqueer!MC)
Rating: Teen
Word count: ~550
Summary: Martin finds himself watching Wind. Again.
A/N: For @oh-so-youre-a-nerd. Thank you for letting me borrow Martin and Wind! Drabble 20 of my 30 days of drabbles.
Tumblr media
He’s staring again.
Martin sips his drink, an abysmal bourbon that makes him question the Brass Monkey’s standards for the thousandth time. His eyes linger on the table of senior associates, passing over Gigi and Beau in the middle of a drinking game, over an amused Aislinn… and coming to rest on Wind.
He’s lost track of how often his eyes wandered her way tonight. She’s peeling the label off her beer bottle, his beaded bracelet peeking out under his blazer and glinting under the dim light. A smile lights up his face in a way that causes a low tug in Martin’s stomach.
Reluctantly, he looks away. He can’t keep doing this. They’re a colleague, for God’s sake. Worse, a subordinate. It would be the height of unprofessionalism to become involved with a subordinate, especially so soon after making senior partner. He won’t give Eli, Linda, and Reggie any reason to question whether they made a mistake making him partner. His career comes first. It always has, it always will.
“Penny for your thoughts?” A voice says to his right. He starts, his drink sloshing over the glass.
“Good lord. Are you trying to kill me?”
“Not in front of these many witnesses, no. But I won’t say I’m not enjoying this. Here.” He plucks a few paper napkins and hands it to him.
“Thanks. I guess. What are you doing here?”
Wind jerks his chin towards the rows of bottles on the counter. “My beer was a casualty of Gigi’s competitiveness, and the waiters are up to their eyeballs in orders. Figured it’d be easier to come get my own drink.”
“Perhaps you should consider it a sign to stop drinking tonight. You know I won’t be giving you any leeway if you show up to work nursing a hangover.”
She snorts. “Please. Like I can’t handle a couple of beers.”
“Are you sure it’s only a couple? I saw the little drinking game you and the others had going on.”
“Ooh, were you watching me?” They laugh. “Come on, you know me well enough by now to know I don’t go to work hungover. Ever.”
He does know that. Wind’s work ethic was the first thing he liked… noticed, he corrects, the first thing he noticed… about them. But that’s not the part that stands up to him now.
“I most certainly was not watching you. I just... happened to glance at the table, that’s all.”
“You know you could join us, right?”
Martin snorts. “I believe the others would skin you for suggesting such a thing.”
“Of course not!” He protests, but a small smile curls his lips. “Torture me at worst.”
“Well, you’re safe. I can’t socialize with associates outside of work. It would be… inappropriate now that I’m a senior partner.”
“Suit yourself.” Wind gestures to the bartender for another beer. “See you at work tomorrow?”
He nods. “Goodnight, Wind.”
They give a little salute. “’Night, Marty.”
She strolls back to his table, exchanging casual greetings with other regular patrons. Martin watches them, almost against his will, drinking in the relaxed confidence, the simple kindness. The way she is… Wind. Just Wind.
Just Wind, he thinks with a snort.  There is no “just” about Wind. That’s the problem.
That’s always been the problem.
