October 2, 2024 - Over 1,000 Samsung workers in Chennai, India, have been on strike for four weeks, making it India’s biggest strike in recent years. heya, its roxy again. im an unemployed autistic trans girl, too autistic to keep any job for a year but not autistic enough to get disability or any kind of accommodation. last year i tried my absolute darnedest to start a career in nonprofit but just wound up horrifically burnt out and got fired anyway, now im just trying to survive and recover and figure out what im gonna do w the rest of my life. doesnt help that im rapidly becoming a v clockable trans woman too, which drastically shrinks the job market here in rural alabama

Urgent Help Needed To Save My Beloved Family

Can You Please Help

My name is Sameer Al Khaldi. I am a Palestinian refugee living in Gaza with my family of 17 people in a tent facing the worst war in human history. During the current Gaza war, my house was completely destroyed resulting in the loss of my business and all our belongings. Me and my family have since been displaced in the streets with no shelter, lack of access to food, drinking water, and healthcare necessities. Despite we were camping in areas which were announced as safe, we faced an imminent danger of death by Israeli airstrikes in our camping neighborhoods several times which resulted in serious physical and psychological impacts on us as well as my little grandsons. I am writing this fundraiser hoping to get help with your generous donations to evacuate Gaza immediately to a safer country.

Before the war, we were having a normal life in Gaza having our own business and working hard with my sons and brothers to be able to survive under the Gaza siege. We were preparing for my daughter's wedding which was supposed to take place this summer but unfortunately she got all her wedding dresses and belongings gone with the destroyed house. She's now left with nothing hoping to be able to get married to her fiancé in a safer place one day. One of my sons was supposed to complete his high school education this year and was passionate about enrolling in a university to study business but the war deprived him from this success and left him hopeless while seeing other students in the west bank receiving their high school certificates while he's left behind. I hope this fundraiser with your generous support would help him to get out of Gaza and continue his education and achieve his life goals abroad. The funds collected through this fundraiser will be used to pay for the travel expenses for myself and my family of 17 people including 9 adults and 8 children. My name is Sameer Al-Nasla, and I’m a 17-year-old from Gaza. Like many young people, I had big dreams for my future. I was on the verge of completing high school, and my goal was to study medicine and become a doctor. Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to help my people by providing medical care, especially in such a difficult region.❤️😁

However, the ongoing war has taken everything from me and my family.💔😔

When the war began, my family was forced to flee our home in West Gaza and relocate to the South. Life immediately became a struggle. In the chaos of displacement, I lost the chance to finish high school, which means I also lost my opportunity to attend university and pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. 😣💔

To make matters worse, the war destroyed my father’s business, which was our family’s source of income. Now, with no home and no livelihood, life has become a constant fight for survival. I’ve had to start working at a young age to help support my family of six, but it’s not enough to make ends meet.😢🍉

Every day, my family and I face the reality of war. Death and destruction surround us. Our health has deteriorated, diseases have spread, and we don’t have access to proper medical care. The suffering is overwhelming, and yet, despite everything, I still hold onto my dream.🥀💔

I'm Eman. I’m 17 years old, and until the start of this war I lived a happy life in Gaza with my mother.

We’re currently residing in Khan Younis and living in a tent as a result of the brutalities committed by Israel since October 7th.

My father was martyred in the 2014 aggression.

My mother has been suffering from increase blood pressure and heart problems for more than four years and needs lifelong treatment now that her condition has worsened since the beginning of the aggression

We struggle daily to survive in an environment full of threats and risks.

The occupation destroyed my dreams and my future.

My school has also been destroyed, and I'm now a year behind other students my age.

I’m trying to collect the necessary funds to evacuate me and my mother, 49 years old, and start a new life after reaching Egypt.

incredible how western countries can go kill and start wars with whoever they want across the world and not have to worry about being bombed to death and invaded. meanwhile everyone else has to make peace with the fact that the USA will sent drones if you do something thats not convinient for them

lebanon, syria, iraq, yemen. they are being raided or invaded because they are intervening to stop a genocide. and its not even the "governments" except for syria. whether you like hezbollah or ansar allah or etc. they're the ones actually upholding the international legal obligation to intervene against a genocide.

transness exists in such a frustrating space right now where psychiatry as an apparatus & industry will swear up and down that while they used to classify transness itself as a mental disorder, now they just have the authority to diagnose Gender Dysphoria(TM) which is supposedly "non-stigmatizing" and just to facilitate trans people getting insurance to cover care.

(not acknowledging that getting this diagnosis from a psychiatric authority of some sort is pretty much the only way to legally access gender affirming healthcare that is outside of what's permitted for your birth assignment, and the only way to get insurance to cover any of it).

so they're constantly trying to pitch the line: "sure psychiatry used to be transphobic but now we just have near exclusive power over trans bodies--but that's totally different and not structurally transphobic at all <3"

psychiatry is like "we provide access to trans health care" & it's like, oh for sure, just like how landlords "provide housing."

"not going to therapy" is never a moral failure. the only thing you're obligated to do is to treat other people with respect. the idea that therapy is the only path to being a person who's safe to be around is so fucking warped and rotten i can't believe how deeply ingrained it is in our society that even well-meaning people parrot it without thinking
