THEY SAID I’M ‘BOUT TO GO TO WAR AND I DON’T KNOW IF I’MMA SEE YOU AGAIN….
*✧・゚: *✧・゚:
bakugo x regular student! female reader
contains: angst, hurt/some comfort, pda, mention of death
。・:*˚:✧。
You didn’t want to look at him, not right now.
His hands though usually warm enough to ignite your skin with a burning passion, now felt cold. They rested on your hips as he remained glued to your side, whispering sweet nothings to ease your mind, but it didn’t help.
You two were laying down on your bed, what was supposed to be a chill Friday date night now became a thick void of silence, neither of you breaking the tension. He had worked up the courage to tell you that he, alongside his fellow classmates were to fight Shigaraki and the other league of villains the following day.
Dating a student in the hero course at the prestigious U.A school was proven to be anxiety inducing of course, especially since your boyfriend was kidnapped by the same league of villains just months prior, but this took the cake.
“Babe, please, talk to me,” Bakugo’s voice being so calm and gentle should’ve sent you swooning as it was very rare to be heard but you couldn’t find any joy. You hugged your knees closer to your chest and let the tears fall.
You and Katsuki had been dating officially for several months, meeting way back when he did his internship with Best Jeanist for the first time, whom just so happened to be your uncle. You caught his eye first when you were one of the actresses for the pro hero’s training drill on how to save people with style. Though you gave your uncle hell for making you seem like such a damsel in distress. But it was worth it when the handsome firecracker stumbled into your life, you were the only one able to put up with his crap.
You went to a normal high school, having a very minuscule quirk, but it didn’t waver your relationship in the slightest, actually making the heart grow fonder.
“What do you want me to say?” You finally spoke up, making Katsuki sit up slightly to look down at you, shifting his weight on his arm, keeping the other hand on your hip.
Katsuki didn’t even know what he wanted you to say actually. The silence was just killing him though. “Something, anything…please just…..”
You pushed his arm away to sit up right, leaning your back against your pillows and the army of plushies Katsuki either gave you or won for you.
“Please what?” Your voice was still shaky from the crying you had done moments ago, but your eyes were fixated at him. “Please, tell you I’m okay with this? Or please wish you luck on the battle? Kiss you goodbye?!” The tone kept going higher and higher til it felt like you were screaming at him.
You were angry, furious even, but not at him. Never at him.
“I’m not saying that shit! I just want you to know that I l—-“ He stops in the middle of his sentence when he notices your eyes watering again.
You cover his mouth harshly, “Stop! I don’t want to hear it!” You knew what he was going to say, he was going to say he loved you, for the very first time.
Did he think it would be the last?
You turn your back to him as you push your body to sit over the edge of your bed, tucking your knees to your chest again.
“Why?” You simply whisper, you don’t know if he heard you but you got your answer when he crawls over to you, hugging you from behind.
“This is our fight, we have to beat those motherfuckers before….” He whispers back.
You chuckle coldly, “This is not your fight. You’re just students for crying out loud. Why do you need to be at the front line for a fucking war!?”
Katsuki didn’t have an answer for that, he knew how it seemed and he tried his best to tell you everything that had happened between his class and the league of villains, dating back to the first few weeks of school. But he couldn’t make you understand the deep turmoil they were in.
He doesn’t say anything, but softly presses kisses on the back of your neck, something he liked to do in quiet moments before. Your body freezes from the slight tickling from his lips, but you don’t move. His fingers gently push you back toward him so he has better access to your neck but you shift away.
“Kats, stop.” You say, though his arms are still wrapped around you. “That’s not going to make things better.”
He shrugs, “I’m not trying to make things better, nothing I say will make shit better. I’m trying to spend time with my girl.”
My girl.
God why did he have to call you that? It was a simple term of affection but it meant so much coming from him. He wasn’t one to be extremely affectionate and you knew that early on, but that just meant that the times when he was in his own way, way more special.
You turn to where you’re now sitting in front of each other, face to face, hands interlocked. You move out of holding his hands to touch his cheek, him slowly leaning into your touch. You lean in to kiss him softly but he takes control and leans back on the bed, to where you’re now on top of him.
The kiss was slow and loving, your hands on his cheeks, and his on your lower back. He stops when he felt a tear drop from your eye to his cheek. He pulls back to look at you, all of you and did the unthinkable.
His crimson red eyes were slowly watering with tears as you were wiping yours away.
“Baby…” You whisper, “You’re crying…”
Bakugo tries to blink away his tears but was unsuccessful. “I’m not…”
“I know…” You nod at him, telling him that you understood why. This could be your last night together….and you both were swept in the moment.
“It’s just…you know I’m not good with this shit.” He grumbles, sounding more like his usual self, finally making you smile a bit.
You shake your head and kiss his forehead, then both of his cheeks, then his lips, keeping it light and sweet. “You’re hopeless, Katsuki Bakugo…” You giggle and kiss him again, not wanting to imagine him being taken away from you.
“Yeah, you’re to blame for that. Got me all mushy and crap.” He kisses you back, every other second, his lips pecked yours.
You gaze at him again, this time embracing his features that you loved so much. He truly was beautiful, the abrasive personality was just tough to get through. Thankfully, you were the girl to take the challenge.
“You’re coming back to me…” You finally say, tears coming up again. “You’re gonna come back and look like shit and I’m gonna nurse you back to health, you got that?” You poke his chest harshly making him chuckle.
“Having you as my personal nurse? I think I’d be better off dyin,” He jokes but winces when he realized the moment he ruined. You smack his shoulder but you knew it didn’t hurt him.
“You dumbass! Don’t say shit like that!” You laugh through tears. It was a joke, a simple joke.
“Sorry!” He snatched your hand and kissed the open palm. “Believe me, I’m bruising any dumb fuck who would dare to take me from you.”
You sigh and shake your head at your boyfriend, kissing him more deeply this time. Your hands around his neck and his just roaming all over your body.
“Just don’t go doing anything stupid, ya ass. Promise?”
“I promise.”
Why couldn’t he just keep his promise?

okay, but what about bakugo and his spoiled princess of a girlfriend?
Tumblr media
he’s always grumbling, always acting annoyed — but everyone knows he lets her get away with everything.
she’s clingy? he groans like he’s bothered, but then he’s tugging her into his lap with one hand wrapped around her waist, his other arm holding her close like she belongs there.
she wants to buy something? he’s saying no — gruff, firm, the usual “you don’t need that crap” — and then she hits him with the wettest, cutest, biggest puppy eyes to ever exist, soft as hell, tilting her head with a little pout:
“katsuki~”
he’s done for. that man’s brain bluescreens on the spot.
bakugo.exe has stopped working.
next thing you know, he’s handing over his card with a scowl, muttering, “just don’t buy the whole damn store.”
she’s giggling, twirling for him in some frilly dress, asking, “do i look pretty? what do you think of this shade of gloss? too much shimmer?”
he doesn’t know shit about makeup or fashion, but he’s sitting there, watching her like she hung the stars, nodding along as she rambles, pretending to understand just because her eyes sparkle when she talks.
and then — then — some guys have the audacity to mock her behind her back, calling her “high maintenance.”
bakugo’s jaw ticks.
he turns, cracking his knuckles, eyes narrow and sharp like a storm’s about to break loose.
“you got a fuckin’ problem, huh?” he growls, stepping closer.
one of them scoffs, but he’s not letting it go.
“i can afford it, you bastards. and if my girlfriend likes to blow my cash on all that sparkly shit she loves, then who the fuck are you to talk?”
he rolls his shoulders, pure menace in his voice.
“you wanna fight? go ahead. let’s see how much your broke ass can afford a hospital bill.”

Happy Father’s Day Drabble!
Tumblr media
Toji didn’t expect much when he opened his eyes that morning. Maybe some quiet. A sore shoulder. The smell of burnt toast, if he was lucky.
What he didn’t expect was the sight of you standing at the edge of the bed in his oversized t-shirt, holding a baby monitor in one hand and a wrapped box in the other. The morning sunlight made your skin glow, and your hair was still messy from sleep—but he swore he’d never seen anything more perfect.
“You’re awake,” you whispered, smile warm. “Happy Father’s Day.”
Toji stretched, grunting low. “Already?”
You crawled into bed beside him, resting the box on his chest. “Megumi’s still asleep. He wanted to give this to you himself, but he passed out halfway through frosting cookies for you last night.”
He smirked. “That explains the glitter on the kitchen floor.”
You laughed and nudged the box toward him. “Open it.”
Inside was a small leather keychain, handmade by Megumi—with a shaky drawing of the three of you carved into the side. And below that, a slip of paper in your handwriting:
“Toji, you’re the kind of father I wish I had growing up. And the kind I want our son to remember forever. We love you.”
He stared at the paper for a long time, lips tight. You leaned your head on his shoulder. “I know this kind of stuff’s not your thing. But you deserve to know that you’re not just doing enough. You’re everything.”
Toji swallowed, voice a little rough when he spoke. “I never thought I’d be good at this, you know? Family. But you… you made me think maybe I was made for it.”
You cupped his jaw gently and kissed him—slow, deep, familiar.
“You were,” you whispered against his lips. “You were made for us.”
Just then, the baby monitor crackled, and Megumi’s tiny voice filled the room:
“Is it time yet? I wanna give Papa his cookie!!”
Toji chuckled, pulling you close again. “Yeah,” he murmured, smiling against your hair. “Bring the whole damn tray.”
And he didn’t need gifts or cards or anything else to know—he was exactly where he was meant to be.

being best friends with Katsuki Bakugo (female reader)
being best friends with Katsuki Bakugo means that you’re the first person he texts when it comes to training…
king explosion murder: get your lazy ass up, I wanna get a few reps in
you: it’s literally 6 in the fucking morning ya rooster. Do not disturb until 9 at the EARLIEST. Thank you :)
king explosion murder: we’re already late then, ya bum
you: if I say yes and get up, can we go get that new matcha drink I sent you yesterday? PLEASEEEE (on my knees btw)
king explosion murder: THE FUCK? Fine, lazy ass
you: oh look at that, already walking to your dorm. Thanks kats <3
being best friends with Katsuki Bakugo means that he’s the only one who can call you nicknames, when someone else does it, there’s a problem
it was a random day at the dorms and you were lounging on the couch in the common area, scrolling through your daily funny videos on TikTok. You felt a sudden dip on the other side of the couch and noticed Denki’s bright, intoxicating smile aimed right at you.
“There something I can help you with, Denks?” You clutched your phone to your chest as you questioned his rather bright demeanor.
You also take into account that Kirishima and Bakugo were sitting across from each other on the kitchen island, both occupied in silence while also going through their phones.
“My amazing, perfect, incredible (Y/N), could you possibly help me study for the next exam? If I don’t pass, I’m cooked.” Denki’s smile then deflated into a state of pleading.
“Why don’t you just ask…” You silently motion towards your blonde haired best friend who unbeknownst to you, was already listening to the conversation the second Denki sat next to you.
“He’s so mean to me,” Denki leans in to whisper, “He hits you when you get the question wrong.”
You stiffen a laugh once Katsuki’s famous studying method was mentioned, as you were all too familiar with it.
“I’m begging you here, (nickname). You’re the one who got the second highest score behind him.”
You were caught off guard when you realized that Denki had called you a nickname, but not just any nickname. No of course not, any other nickname wouldn’t have warranted such reaction. It was the nickname Katsuki had called you since you were little. It was something personal between the two of you.
The entire class had taken note of the nickname very quickly and since none of them had a death wish, could feel the importance of reserving it only for Bakugo.
You could practically hear the tension in the room snap and it was all radiating from one person, obviously. Kirishima perked his head up as he noticed Bakugo’s muscles clench slightly. He looks over at Denki who didn’t even realize what he had called you and just chuckled.
“You’re so dead, man.” Kiri pinches the ridge of his nose to try and contain his laughter.
But Denki being Denki was still so oblivious, it hurt.
Finally, Katsuki chimed in. “Don’t call her that.”
He only said it once but his tone was something else. Katsuki knew how it sounded, it was possessive, over you, but he just couldn’t let it go. It wasn’t some stupid inside joke, it was a name he reserved for you and only you. And he’d be damned if someone else tried to call you that.
Denki finally realized his blunder and immediately began babbling apologies. You couldn’t help but giggle alongside Kirishima with how dramatic Katsuki was being.
“It’s fine Denki, it’s just something from our childhood we keep to ourselves.” You begin basically apologizing on your best friend’s behalf. “But yes, I’ll help you study.”
“You’re a lifesaver, (nickname) I don’t know—-“ Denki continues to ramble as Bakugo swiftly moves from his seat and practically jumps the poor guy without a warning.
Kirishima rushed over next to you to get a front row seat on the fight as you tried to cover your lips with your palm to fight the smile on your face. You had to admit you liked when Katsuki was jealous, especially over you.
being best friends with Katsuki Bakugo means that his mom absolutely adores you and swears on her life, you will be her future daughter in law
You knocked on the Bakugos’ front door casually and begin to take off your earbuds to not seem rude to whom opens the door. Since you had been friends since you were little kids, the Bakugo home was like a second home to you, Mitsuki and Masaru were always so welcoming that you almost hated leaving. Crazy how they created the chaotic demon that was your best friend.
The door swings open to reveal Mitsuki who seemed to be in the middle of cooking as she wore a blue apron over her work clothes. “Ah! (Y/N)! What a surprise! Masaru! Put an extra plate out.”
Even though you were comfortable around them, you were careful not to overstep boundaries when it came to their house and over inviting yourself.
“Hi, Mrs. Bakugo. I’m sorry, Kats invited me over to study, I hope I’m not intruding.” You say softly, picking the skin off of your finger nervously.
Mitsuki scrunched up her face as if she were offended, very reminiscent of her son. “Hon, we’ve been over this. Mrs. Bakugo is my mother in law, please call me Mitsuki! You know you’re always welcome here !” She quickly moves you into the house where you proceed to take off your shoes and place them neatly on the nearby shoe rack.
“Katsuki! (Y/N) is here! Get your ass down here and greet her!” Mitsuki yells at the top of her lungs as she gives you a quick hug before rushing back into the kitchen.
Katsuki grumbles something that you couldn’t make out as you stand there awkwardly once you hear his footsteps descending down the staircase.
“You’re late, dumbass.” He raised an eyebrow as he noticed how stiff you look. “You look like you just shit yourself. Don’t act like you ain’t been here before, come on,”
You quickly snap out of your head and follow behind him, kicking the back of his heel every other step, trying to piss him off.
“I’m not late, I’m right on time. Next time if you want me here earlier, tell me, stupid head.” You retort back, taking off your backpack and putting it casually on his own back, making him carry your things.
“Whatever.” Was all he could say, as he simply readjusted the bag over his shoulder and took a step back so that you were both shoulder to shoulder and walking at even pace.
Back downstairs, Mitsuki was happily overhearing the exchanges and hummed quietly to herself as she finalized dinner. Her husband walks back from the dining room with a perplexed look.
“Something happen, honey? Where’s (Y/N)?” Masaru asks, hoping to be able to catch his son’s sweet best friend.
“Oh she’s upstairs, we’ll probably hear them bickering in a bit.” Mitsuki chuckles and shakes her head. “We’re gonna have such a firecracker for a daughter in law, aren’t we?”
Masaru shared in the thought and couldn’t help his own smile. “You sound very confident about that.”
Mitsuki shrugs and begins to plate, “It’s gonna happen, mark my words. The only ones that don’t know it, is them.”
