“Is there really…” A brief interruption to yawn. “…such thing as too much sleep…?”
“Hell no,” he replied, “it’s the best thing since sliced bread. But if I stay in my bed any longer I’m gonna be classified as dead part two and I ain’t for it.”

“ i mean, it’s just a bummer that i can’t access to my material from here, but at the same time it makes me want to return to the origins of my ridiculous spinny staircase with webcomics. ”

“I wasn’t ever really into comics or anythin’ like that. I mean I read a few that my granpop’s got me, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. What one’s are ya’ catchin’ up on now?”

Well that was a blow to whatever pride Reiji had left. And here he thought he looked rather stylish..!
“Can’t argue with that. I was just happy to be able to perform again.”
★ “I guess it wasn’t that bad. Or at least that part. Ya’ got a decent set of pipes on you. How long have you been singin’?”

nessusaryevil:
@dysastral
There are eclipses on a regular basis, and Nessus has come to understand that they are a normal thing that show that more people are coming to the island. He doesn’t like them, because something in his head, something in the small, animalistic part of his brain that’s been buried with the trauma, tells him it’s wrong.
But he carries on. He copes as best as he can.
The day/night cycle seems to make sense when there’s not an eclipse. The sun rises, sets, the moon rises, sets.
Nessus is a crepuscular creature by nature, and the sudden change in situation has him moving towards the dawn/dusk nature of the beast that lives inside him. But sometimes he can’t sleep.
A lot of the time, actually.
So he found himself a nice patch of green somewhere in Spirale–Yirral, he wasn’t even sure if he could find it again–but he was laid on his back, staring up at the stars. His ears twitched at the approach of someone else.
“Don’t mind me, just can’t sleep.”
★. Face turned upward, purple eyes scanned the stars in hopes of seeing something he knew. Nothing here was familiar and he ached for reassurance that things might be okay here. It was nerve wracking being reunited with friends and then being snatched away fromt hem once again. Was this his fate, to forever be tormented by those he’s lost or left behind?
Kaito’s mind was forever wandering during peaceful moments. With nothing to occupy his time or energy, his thoughts became hyper focused on his life, and the lack of it. This left him unable to sleep most nights, like the person he had just stumbled upon. He couldn’t make them out much in the dark, but he was apprehensive either way. He knew no one here. “Ditto. Do you want some company?”

What if when Kaito died, he and Gonta found each other in the afterlife to help each other find peace with themselves after what happened.

@dysastral || PERMA STARTERS 1
Where does he start? Where does he even go? The drastic shift from home to Hive to home and now here has his head spinning too quickly for him to work out. Already, seconds in, he’s found himself nursing a headache and trying his damn best to keep himself from roughing up the nearest thing he could find.
Sitting on the sidewalk, he tries to distance himself from what had happened, furrowing his brows and letting the passing vehicles blur into blobs of color until something snaps him from his mild daydreaming.
He’s been on edge. Both him and his stand. It’s understandable seeing as anyone would be–or they probably already are.
Any little sound outside of passing traffic was worth his attention… And maybe that’s because a part of him is hoping to see someone familiar race his way. Save him from his thoughts and this desolate place. Or maybe just someone to steal a smoke from. Whatever came first.
Unfortunately, this one doesn’t look quite like the kind to carry cigarettes on him, so Okuyasu simply stares with a fowl gaze before deciding to settle his sourness and simply ask if only for the slim chance that maybe he was wrong.
“ Hey… You wouldn’t happen to have a cigarette on you, would you? ”
★. This shithole looked like a war zone. Everything was destroyed, the running water was yellow in his townhouse and there was no electricity. If you were out at night and you didn’t have a light you were in the pitch black void, maybe with some moonlight if you were lucky. This was worse that the place before.
What sort of cosmic joke had his life become. Where exactly did he go wrong? He was a man with goals, dreams, and a little tenacity. Yet here we was, dead or something. Maybe technically alive, but supposed to be dead, and what? On some foreign planet? He couldn’t get a reading on anything. He had no clue what stars shined above them at night. None of them formed any familiar patterns.
It all just made his head spin and he honet to god wish he could concentrate on something else. He couldn’t have a smoke from his pipe because of his health. Hs lungs were bad enough, he didn’t want to smoke anything in case something happened, like, you know, choking on his own blood from coughing. What a damn headache this all was.
He turned to the man who had approached him. He could have laughed at the irony. “What I wouldn’t do for a smoke, man. Nah, I ain’t got shit.” He pulled his empty pipe form his pocket to make his point, flashing it in view of the other male.

Since the eclipse has passed over the city for the time being, and time seems to be back on its usual track, Heliar looked up to the sky to see if he recognized any of the stars.
He felt a pang of nostalgia in his heart for life back home. He should have been doing this out in the plains, with a horse by his side, and nothing but grasses stretching for miles and miles. Not in this jungle of concrete and unfamiliar people. Still, there was something calming about looking up on a calm evening, at the stars above.
He heard footsteps approaching from behind–his ears turned backwards.
“Come to look at the stars with an old man?”
★. Kaito had been wandering aimlessly in the night. Eyes looked over and over at the twinkling stars above, yet he couldn’t form any constellations. Was this place like the one before, with nothing recognizable? He didn’t know if this world had a false sky or if it was real. When he was called upon he was lost in thought about just that; if he’d ever see the stars he knew again.
“I guess so,” he acknowledged the guy. “See any ya’ know?” He was hopeful but deep down he knew better.

@dysastral ♡ ‘ed for a starter!
She knew that look all too well. Having dealt with a sickly dream demon in her dreams for just about every night in Wonderland, the sight of someone who was ill was something she was acquainted to far too often to her blatant displeasure. If this stranger had any sense of conviction and self-worth, this probably was a case that was either uncontrollable or newly spurred. She watched from the afar for awhile until her own sense of basic human decency tugged at her core to go and check up on the stranger.
“Excuse me,” she speaks softly, in attempt to not scare the poor guy into a heart attack.
“Are you okay?”
It was most likely his fever flaring up again. Being without his medications was difficult. He didn’t feel as bad as before, but he could tell his batteries were draining fast. His face was flushed with a rising fever and his body ached. It hurt to breathe, which was probably the worst of it. He swayed as he walked, trying to make it back to his townhouse. But, he was stopped before making it there. His head swam as he turned to look about him. “Ah? Yeah, never better. What makes you think I’m not?” It wasn’t said rudely, but his mind wasn’t quite focusing on what he was putting into words.
