The poster for the supercool, badass, rock-addicted Halloween DJ show in... ah, just read the poster. It was awesome.

The first few pages of the amazing graphic novel I worked on (and still work on) with Neil MacKay.
It’s been a loooong time since I posted anything here, so I’m just going to vomit a bunch of cool stuff I’ve done since the last post, and then copy/paste this very text under each one, so as to dodge responsibility in the most lazy way possible. I mean, c’mon. I’m busy. I’m drawing my fingers to the BONE here. I don’t have time to do the right thing ALL the time, right?

Aw flip!
It's time for another issue of Tisch14 ( http://tisch14.jimdo.com/ ), and I've got yet another story in it! They generously gave my 10 pages, and I graciously accepted. The theme for this one it "music", and I did my best. I'm mental for music, but I personally do not make it, so I consulted the great Lukas Schiemer, musician extraordinaire known well here in Vienna. He clued me in to the idea that every song is a tiny adventure in itself for the melodies & notes involved. F'instance: A minor may be trying to get through the entire song, while G major stands like sentinels throughout the song to slow A minor, keep A minor from progressing & keep the listener anchored, then C sharp can come in and carry the A minor tune through some obstacles, etc. I'm sure I probably just butchered the fascinating example Herr Schiemer hooked me with, but I think you get the gist. And if not, check out the pages above, because that's my interpretation of that idea.
I'll upload the English version, and the colored version soon (the book itself is published in B&W, and in German, so this is a sneak peak at the actual story that the public will soon be clamoring over). The English version probably isn't such a big deal, since there's only 2 lines of dialog at the end, which go: "What's happening!?", to which the reply is "Oh, you heard my new song?". An exchange that can probably be utilized in any situation that arises on any given day. Feel free to use it willy nilly with my blessing.
And thank you for checking out my continuing addiction to comics & storytelling, and somehow making a living at it for good or ill.
In other news, I'd be thrilled to carry on my addiction for even more exorbitant amounts of money with any major companies out there looking for such a graphite & ink junky. That's not too ham-fisted, is it?
It is?
Good.
Cheers,
S.R. Ayers

And finally the colored pages of my Tisch14 story: A Parade of Last-Known Photos. Even though the book will be published in black & white I figured I color the pages anyway to practice those scraggly skills, as well as maybe give a shine to these here images & possibly get more attention than they would otherwise, for good or ill.
So there's that.
Talk to you later,

Howdy again!
Here's the pages for the new issue of Tisch14 (#4), out in December. These are the original English pages, B&W (obviously) as it'll be published. In a few minutes I'll put up the color pages, and maybe the Deutsch pages too. The theme of the book is 'Ohne Thema' (without a theme). Enjoy,
