We were robbed of episodes centered on Dexter and Hunter having roommate shenanigans. Robbed, I say! (Sparrow probably stole them.)

I don't agree with the headcanon of Darling being exclusively gay, because according to her doll's official bio she likes boys who are pure of heart, and given that she's Apple's true love that means she's near-canonically bisexual. Calling her a lesbian is bi erasure. Raven also canonically likes boys, and has (to me) shown indications of liking girls as well, so here Raven is commiserating with Darling over their shared erasure.
This comic is particularly funny for me because in my AU Raven and Darling eventually end up dating.
Happy Pride!

I definitely think that Snow White would be homophobic if the show continued. She seems very obsessed with Apple repeating her telling to the letter. Also, Apple, open mouth insert foot (this comic was originally going to end with Apple sniping back at Faybelle but I think this way is funnier).
Sexuality headcanon time (you’ve already seen Apple’s)!:
Poppy O'Hair: polyamorous binary allohomoromantic binary allohomosexual; moderately inflexible (the likelihood of finding a boy she's willing to kiss is low). Poppy having a crush on Sparrow makes no sense given their personalities, and I have an AU reason for viewing Poppy as a lesbian.
Faybelle Thorn: polyamorous allobiromantic allobisexual; sapphic (higher likelihood of attraction to female-identifying). Faybelle spends most of her time and attention on her female classmates, and that's all there is to say on the matter.
Happy pride!

The fridge logic of Raven potentially being the one to illustrate Lizzie's cards is sending me.

Found some more Dinotrux quotes, and Cedar finally makes a speaking appearance in my comics! Fittingly, it's about art, and fittingly, it's been photoshopped to get Apple's hair out of the shot.

I love that Dexter is trying to be patient with Maddie but is still a little tense. Dinotrux is one of my favorite shows, but it's hard to find sources for quotes.

I like to characterize Holly as the nervous twin & Holly as the more confident and outgoing twin. It just makes sense given Holly's chosen destiny is to be inside a tower, so her being anxious about the outside world would make her object to being confined less.

Year 3 of “Ever After High Says What?” in review
Today marks the last day of the third year this blog’s been active! Let’s review this blog’s stats before we go:
The total number of words spoken in Year 3 was 808. The most common word spoken was “I”, which appeared 39 times.
The character with the most lines (lines being all words, including beats between words, sound effects, & emoticons) was Daring Charming, who had a total of 91 lines. This is also nearly three times the number of words he spoke last year (31). The character with the fewest lines (excluding non-speaking appearances) was Braeburn, who only had 1.
The character with the most appearances in Year 3 (based on how many comics they were tagged in) was Daring Charming, who appeared in 9 comics out of 24 total. 6 of these appearances were speaking appearances, tying him with Raven for the character with the most speaking appearances in Year 3.
The comic with the most lines was Comic 53 with 72 lines. The comic with the fewest lines was Comic 68 with 12 lines.
The top 5 comics of Year 3 by notes ATOW were Comic 56 with 314 notes, Comic 60 with 95 notes, Comic 57 with 77 notes, Comic 65 with 64 notes (ironically), and Comic 62 with 58 notes.
The bottom 5 comics of Year 3 by notes ATOW were Comic 71 with 7 notes, Comic 72 with 15 notes, Comic 66 with 19 notes, a tie between Comic 63 and Comic 64 with 21 notes each (the first time this has happened for sequential comics), and Comic 49 with 25 notes. Comic 71 is the only comic with a single-digit note count as of 3/13/2024. Four of the new comics – 50, 51, 61, and 69 – are tied at 29 notes, which has never happened before; two of these comics are sequential.
The comic with the greatest absolute increase in notes since last year was Comic 31 with 18 new notes since last year's tally. The comic with the greatest per capita increase in notes since last year was Comic 41, whose note count increased by 41.18% from the previous tally to 24 notes ATOW.
The fandoms most often referenced were unknown sources with 5 comics.
Daring has spoken exactly 200 words, more than any other character, with Raven in a close second at 192 words. Looks like last year was The Year of the Daring.
Tomorrow we start Year 4!

I'm surprised no one has done this yet for EAH. My headcanon is that Daring (like most people) suspected that Apple was gay years before she figured that out, which is why he distanced himself from Apple and pursued other girls. He's supportive of Apple not being straight, even if it means the destiny he was told he would have since birth can't happen...but his sister being Apple's princess is the part that bothers him more since it comes off as the universe toying with him.
Rosabella, for once, doesn't know how to start unpacking this.

More propaganda for my idea that the dragons in EAH should've been able to talk. Nevermore's finally on the blog!

Our 69th comic features something I think would be nice to see in the show: Faybelle and Cerise having a rivalry. Featuring Ramona being a supportive big sister for a change.
