Like literally. (I guess something's wrong with me.) I still love fanarts and sometimes I still make gifs.

While publishing other photos, I decided it was worth recalling the photos of ZZH and GJ from the famous fan meeting that took place on July 18, 2020, and was part of the promotional plan for the WOH series, which they both filmed. The meetings were popularly known as the poolside meeting. ZZH appeared dressed almost entirely in white, wearing clothes from the brand Fendi, for which he was the spokesperson. I don't know if you know that GJ appeared in a similar outfit from the same company in June 2020 for a photo shoot. Was ZZH's clothing choice a coincidence? Did ZZH see photos of GJ in a similar outfit? Or was it some kind of sign, some kind of symbol? During this meeting, GJ wore a black shirt with a white print, I believe from the Burberry collection. This shirt, paired with black pants, significantly slimmed down the tall GJ. In addition to the photos taken during the meeting itself, a separate photo shoot of ZZH and GJ was done. A set of these photos appeared on his studio's Weibo. The seemingly innocent photos led to a strong reaction from fans. Fans demanded the photo post be removed and reported it en masse to attract the attention of the censors. ZZH himself also shared the photos on his Weibo. The comments from people who posted these photos must have been very hurtful to ZZH. ZZH was so irritated that he engaged in a discussion with them, making it clear that he alone had the right to choose what would be published and what wouldn't. He added that no stranger would tell him what to do. So, already in 2020, ZZH had toxic fans in his fandom who were angry at him for his friendship with GJ. However, that's not the point here; I want to focus on the photo that caused unnecessary confusion. For me, the photo is the most normal photo without any hidden meaning. Here we have two young men, dressed casually but still elegantly, sitting on a wooden bench. The contrasting colors of the clothes are a great choice. The placement of nameplates in both actors' hands is also a brilliant choice. ZZH holds GJ's nameplate, and GJ holds ZZH's. I wonder again if this was a conscious choice or the photographer's suggestion. ZZH looks perfect in boring pants and a white T-shirt. This white outfit somewhat masks ZZH's excessive slimness, as we know he lost some weight for the role of ZZS. His longer hair flows softly around his face and also contrasts with GJ's shorter hair. We can also see the difference in the two men's hair colors: GJ has dark hair, almost black, while ZZH's is more of a dark brown. ZZH smiles gently, as does GJ. Both have an incredible sparkle in their eyes. Looking at them sitting in a nonchalant pose, we see two friends who decided to take a photo together. No idiotic subtext.

Zhou Zishu Costume Appreciation: 5/? (Word of Honor)
Note: This costume changes colors depending on the light, so the palette incorporates colors from multiple caps and is half cool and half warm. *shrug*

Another reason to ignore negative comments (especially on AO3)
So at work I’ve been forced to learn about “AI Agentic Workflows”. But being an AO3 author, I couldn’t help but think of how this technology affects authors on AO3 (and honestly on other social media platforms too).
What I learned was this: Agentic AI workflow software makes it extremely easy to automate, and bulk-post, HIGHLY-STORY-SPECIFIC negative comments to AO3 fics.
If you’re not familiar with what an AI Agentic Workflow is, I highly recommend informing yourself. You’ll be hearing it a LOT very soon. Basically, it’s a linked linked chain of AI prompts on one/many software platforms. Each “agent” completes a task. Then it hands off the completed task to the next AI Agent in the chain, which builds on it. Then that result is handed off to another agent, etc etc, even potentially to a final agent which analyzes what worked well and what didn’t, and changes what the other agents do.
There are a ton of repercussions here.
But let’s stay focused on AO3.
With AI Agentic workflow software, a person/group who wants to silence the voice of a community can easily scrape a tag, analyze stories by the thousands, then post thousands of highly customized, story specific negative comments, all without a human being ever seeing your words.
They could even set up AI agents watching to see if you delete your story, or delete your profile, which would be a marker of success. That success marker could be shared back to the other AI agents, and the whole workflow could be changed via automation to use that more effective approach.
I’m sure the OTF is working on ways of stopping this. I’m sure most social media companies are too.
But as usual the tools to create havoc are ahead of the ones to prevent havoc.
Anyway.
TL;DR: If you get a highly-story-specific negative AO3 comment — it does NOT MEAN it was written by a HUMAN! You were probably just story 20,031 in a scraped database of 50,000 stories, all of which were being targeted because they belong to a group/topic/tag that some shitty group or agency wanted to silence because of their horrible political or social.
Don’t let them silence you. They never looked at your words to begin with.
