Interested in becoming a professional writer? New South will be hosting a free 6-week writing workshop for young writers in grades 9-12 at the East Baton Rouge Main Library.

The classes will be held at 5:30PM Thursday, Oct 1, 2015 – Thursday, Nov 5, 2015.

Published writers and filmmakers will be there to mentor you, and there's even a chance to get your work published! Interested students can sign up for workshops by contacting New South Story Lab via email: newsouthstorylab@gmail.com.

Saturday, September 26th is the Baton Rouge Mini Maker Faire, and it's being held at the Main Library! There will be tons to do all day all over the library. 

In the Teen Room we will be doing some awesome stuff:

-Stop Motion Animation class from 11-12

-Arduino Club from 2-3

-Makey makeys, LEGO Mindstorms, and cube crafts all day

-Mad Scientist Labs in each study room
