WEEK 9 PROMPT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0MoJ0nVBX0
I have chosen this piece by GST as a way of using multiple multimodal texts during their presentation. Each member of the group had a significant role during their cyber-bullying presentation such as showing videos, creating posters, showing PowerPoint slides or reading to deliver a key message.
I would use this as a mentor text during group work because texts can be shown through posters and videos rather than spoken language. In contrast, delivering presentations on a topic has the ability for students to show their passion and delivering informative information and how to prevent a certain situation in the future through their own experiences and research.

WEEK 7 PROMPT
Tumblr media
To help improve my personal knowledge and skills in language, literacy, or literature; I have chosen these two resources that I believe will help me become a confident teacher.
My goal for my teaching is to be flexible when it comes to using multimodal resources in the classroom. This takes into consideration of those students who may suffer from a visual impairment, but also students becoming more active learners when using multimedia in the classroom.
Resource 1; PowerPoint (image above). This approach allows students to become more engaged in the learning content, but also helps me improve on my language, literacy and literature skills when it comes to creating the slides as I need my students to understand what the text is saying.
Resource 2; Zzish (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD5rGm7UdtE) This resource would allow me to create different questions about an inquiry topic to help support students’ understandings and what I need to improve on in my teaching approaches.

WEEK 3 PROMPT
Tumblr media
Teachers can help their students find quality literature texts within their local primary school library. From fiction to non-fiction texts, children have the opportunity to borrow and read their choice of literature texts that suit their interests and their reading capabilities. Reading a wide variety of literature texts can further improve students’ writing skills by gaining ideas and plot stories that they have read to improve their writing and story telling.

WEEK 2 PROMPT
Tumblr media
These writing posters were displayed within my Grade 1/2 classroom during my volunteer work at my placement primary school. The posters demonstrate different writing techniques of learning to write a recount, information report, exposition and a review with a checklist of what’s required to help shape and create that specific writing task. It gives the students a guide and continuing to refer back to the posters to make sure all the key points are in their writing piece.

Week 1 Prompt
Tumblr media
I loved reading the Specky Magee book series during silent reading times after lunch and borrowing the books from the school library. I loved playing football and reading these books gave me a sense of inspiration and the story line was perfect for young readers such as myself and loving the game of football so much. In reference to influencing my students in the primary school, I would help my students to read books that they can relate to and choosing books that interest them and would help students to write reflections on the books they have read.
