since that twitter user is carrying on, sending people after me and retweeting shady shit about how i don't have anything quality to say re: fbi/magbel, i'm just going to give y'all the name of her ao3 since i'm pretty positive she ai generates her fics and you should steer clear of them. magbel fandom doesn't support that shit. the fact that she also ai generated "art" of alana and passed it off as her own only gives more credence to this.

this has to be said: your allyship of ANY community including poc, lgbtq+, etc needs to apply to EVERYONE and EVERYTHING, not selectively or only when it comes to your fav celebrities and favorite characters. your allyship should not be transactional, and your allyship should not be selective. it applies to EVERYONE. at the same time, to be an ally, a true ally, is to call out problematic, and harmful behavior, and to bring awareness and educate. if you only are an ally when it comes to your favs, or to your friends, and not for anyone else, you are not an ally.
if you are being racist to/about a poc character, their storyline, or their cultural background, you are in turn being racist to not only the character, but also the actor themselves. the actor can not change who they are, and being racist and justifying it because their character "isn't real" is not okay. that character might be fictional, but your treatment of poc and your discrimination is not. also to add: any kind of film/artwork/writing is always done with some kind of purpose, even if that purpose is meant to be ambiguous, and critique will follow, especially when telling a story. a show can call out problematic things, and also in turn have problematic things take place outside of that. media is meant to be analyzed and critiqued and discussed. fandom was created for that very reason. it's to create discussion and to also provide a space for people to express their love for certain things, and dislike of others. calling out problematic things is one of those things as well.
#a bit of a rant#anti intellectualism is a disease#and so is racism and homophobia#also fuck everyone whose used generative ai to create fan work#i have a whole anti-ai post on my art account if you want to read it and share it

Itβs funny, most people can be around someone and then gradually begin to love them and never know exactly when it happened; but Ruth knew the very second it happened to her. When Idgie had grinned at her and tried to hand her that jar of honey, all these feelings that she had been trying to hold back came flooding through her, and it was at that second in time that she knew she loved Idgie with all her heart. That's why she had been crying, that day. She had never felt that way before and she knew she probably would never that way again.

forgot to share my biomedical final! our task was to take a character or figure of whatever we wanted and make an anatomical diagram with them! i decided to do tool's 10,000 days album cover, and challenge myself with all the eyes. it was a fun project, but i am glad to get into my fandom fanart again!
