Why is it that some of the biggest fujoshis are homophobes?

Sigh. Let me rant for a bit...

I know this is not exactly my "normal" type of content, but if we're being honest, what even is my type of content?

I cannot believe that we are less than six months away from all of the BTS members discharge dates, and we still have solos and delusional toxic shippers denying the fact that Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together. This is no longer an argument of "what ship is real" but now simply a concerning display of absolute insanity at this point.

Jimin and Jungkook could say the sky is blue and these people would scream at them that it's purple. Just because they can.

Is it really that crazy to admit that they went together? That they made the conscious decision to go through the program together? A program of which they have confirmed that they (yes they, as in BOTH Jimin and Jungkook, let me remind you--) used to enlist in both verbal and written forms? If not multiple times?

It doesn't matter if you think they're dating or friends or enemies or whatever. The REALITY is they enlisted together. They're currently together right now. On the same base. In the same unit.

What is so fucking hard to admit about that?

Even among the crowd of people who (bitterly) accept that they went together is a type of discussion I find to be insane as someone who is personally part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

What they talk about is blatant fetishization and internalized homophobia.

The thing is, I don't really care if you think Jikook is dating or not, I'm not saying that they are, and in fact, it's actually not even entirely relevant at this point. But you have certain shippers crashing out in inboxes and on twitter -- NON KOREAN PEOPLE, MIND YOU -- going on and on about how it's impossible that Jimin and Jungkook could be dating AND choose to enlist together.

"The South Korean military criminalizes homosexuality! They can't be gay if they go together! I mean, how can they even have sex! They can't be in a relationship if they can't have sex!"

In my opinion, as a queer person, I think it's incredibly disgusting when certain people chop up queer relationships to nothing but sex.

Like, what the fuck does that even mean?

This type of rhetoric tells me that these people do not view gay relationships as being on par with straight ones. Do you think gay people need a daily sexual encounter to enjoy spending time with their partners? That's really fucking weird. Really, really fucking weird.

This type of mindset is why homophobia is so rampant; homophobes seem to view gay people as being inherently more sexual than them because they can't possibly imagine a scenario where gay people aren't constantly horny or sex starved creatures looking for their next meal.

Surprise, you don't need sex for a relationship to thrive, especially if you're in a environment where it could put you in danger.

Whether you ship the members or not, this type of thinking is harmful to the queer community and also insulting to the many queer soldiers who are forced, and let me repeat that, FORCED to enlist in South Korea with partners waiting for them on the side.

Like god forbid gay men enlist with their partners.

Recently some green defenders have been a bit too funny and then say something along the lines of ‘’have you read the books?’’ . I have and yes Alicent is an abuser, manipulator and a villain. They changed her so much in the show, but in the books she is 19 and Viserys is 27 and she married him OUT OF AMBITION. She wanted to marry him, give him a son and plant it on the throne. Because this woman (she’s over 18, like literally a woman) bullied and mentally abused 8 year old Rhaenyra. She is evil and even tho the maesters are green biased and try to make out Alicent to be better and demonize Rhaenyra, her treatment of Rhaenyra was never denied. Like come on Rhaenyra probably just wanted to play with dolls and Alicent was calling that child a whore. Rhaenyra hasn’t had a moment of peace since Alicent came in the picture. I appreciate her as a villain in the books, because she basically wasn’t this innocent and poor girl we had in the show, she is purely evil and had one goal and she achieved it. But all the people who make out Rhaenyra to be the bad one (a victim and she is not perfect, because PERFECT VICTIMS DON’T EXIST) and always baby and defend Alicent blindly, no you are not cute for doing this and no Alicent will never be iconic. Not in the books and not in the show.

Jon Favreau saying Din Djarin was never meant to be Star Wars Aragorn is dumb on many levels, but primarily because no one saw him as Aragorn!

Aragorn was born to be a king and knew this his entire life. He struggled with it, rebelled against it, and then finally realized it was his destiny. No one in Star Wars is an Aragorn.

Din Djarin was never born to be a king, and he never considered that he would be one. If Din is anyone, he is King Arthur, a person who performed an extraordinary task to win a powerful sword.

The idea that the story was not setting Din up to be a leader is ridiculous, though, because in all three seasons and The Book of Boba Fett, we see Din as an effective leader. In several episodes and across the story arc, Din brings people together to fight and win unlikely battles. He manages to diplomatically get different groups to work together. He comes up with the plans that will take advantage of everyone's best skills. He puts himself in positions of extreme vulnerability because he knows it's what they need to win. He also manages to pull off some incredible moves of his own that just make everyone go. "Wow! That dude is awesome!" Din does all this while still being respectful and kind to the point where at the end of the battle, the people in the group are willing to follow him anywhere if he asks.

Then you have the audacity to sit there and tell me you didn't create a king.

No?? That's not true at all!! Out of all of his brothers, he's one of the sweetest towards MC. He's always genuine, and he's soft. He's so incredibly soft (The way he treats Belphie and MC makes me want to rip my heart out, its so cute i cant handle it). He talks to a sickly flower so that it gets well, he's nice to all his brothers and overall, aside from his horrendous appetite and eating habits, no one really has any quams about his personality. He loves his family so much, he's willing to do anything for them, he wants to protect them because he still feels guilty about being unable to save Lilith, (WHICH WAS NEVER HIS FAULT, I JUST WANT TO HUG HIM). He also loves other stuff too!! He's obviously into fitness but that's completely overshadowed by his obvious love for food. There's just something so endearing about him being an absolute giant of a demon and then you find out he just this absolute darling and you just want to hold him tight. Idk about you but if you don't like this man (demon), I don't trust you one bit, I'm sorry.

Part 2 of Shikamaru never was Naruto best friend, or closest friend, as many say.

After Naruto and the rest of the teams manage to pass to the preliminaries of the chunin exam, Naruto is called to fight against Kiba.

Naruto is getting beaten by Kiba, and Shikamaru says "Like I figured" meaning that he was already expecting Kiba to finish off Naruto. After all, Naruto is still a weakling and idiot to him. Even Lee has more hope in Naruto than his supposedly best friend, Shikamaru.

Either way, that's not enough to take down Naruto:

He's living up to his boasts now!

He never put his faith on him—he always thought Naruto was baffling, because he doesn't know Naruto. Anyway, Naruto manages to fight against Kiba and then, Shikamaru begins to finally "recognize" Naruto, after he shows that he has developed as a ninja, even being capable of thinking useful strategies against Kiba.

I think we're looking at whole new Naruto!

Shikamaru goes on, "recognizing" him. But he's shocked, genuinely, just look at his expression up there.

And here's him, being astonished at Naruto beating Kiba. But he really didn't believe in him until Naruto actually proved the opposite—but yeah.

They pass to the eliminatory rounds, and Naruto beats Neji, Shikamaru is surprised again–he had to win once again for Shikamaru to geniunely acknowledge him. But can we blame him here? Everyone's shocked. But look:

Despite Shikamaru "recognizing" Naruto again, he says it's depressing, it's bad that someone like Naruto, who Shikamaru thought to be a unslick, lazy guy like him, was actually a "hard-working" guy. Doesn't that show how little he actually knows him? And he looks disappointed that Naruto won, and didn't get beaten like he thought, twice. His shoulders are slumped, he's down, and have you looked at his expression? (That's how I take it at least) There is another panel where he seems to lighten up after Naruto comes back from his match, but before that, he was like that with Naruto.

But they do have more interaction here. PD: They have a little interaction after Naruto's match, but it's not really relevant, Naruto proceeds to shove Shikamaru to the battlefield, insisting him to fight already – of course, Shikamaru isn't pleased at all with him, but eh, again, not relevant.

Gaara proceeds to kill these two men, and while Shikamaru says that, Naruto just thinks about Sasuke. And that's it.

And once again, I can't add more images, but there's still more interaction, the Sasuke rescue arc is actually next and Gaara's hospital scene, I'll definitely do more of these. My point, anyway, obviously is that Shikamaru isn't and never was Naruto's best friend. He wasn't there from the start like a LOT of people say.

+ I even read that people claimed that Naruto should have thought of Shikamaru when he thought of the most important people to him almost in the end of the manga, I can't quite pinpoint the panel, but if I find it again, I'll add it next time — and of course, he actually thought of Iruka and Team 7. Shikamaru never crossed his mind in these moments, and why would he? Shikamaru was never that close to him, and that's what I'll keep proving. And thank you, if you read until here.

(Notes: Hey there! I've been rewatching some of Danganronpa stuff and then saw the opportunity to explore something that I think is never properly expressed or shown in the series as a whole. Surviving a killing game like this surely must leave a tall on the mind of those who have gone through it, specially if they had their own insecurities to begin with. Asahina and Hagakure are the so called "comic duo" out of the first survivors, so there are very few moments for them to actually show this kind of weakness and emotions. Apart from that, Hagakure is almost always the pick when people mention they wanted someone else to survive instead. Not that I don't understand the feeling of wanting a different character to survive or the argument that he doesn't really do much for the story, but it is actually kind of sad to see just how many people want him to literally die. So this comic was made mostly with the purpose of showing how much he may be struggling in reality. Hagahina is not a ship that I talk about or show as often as other of my fave pairings, but precisely because there is so little of it and because it can make up for an interesting dynamic, I think I wanna try to explore a little more with them 🤗✨)

Alien bug things from Kenshi

I really tried liking the game since i liked its concept, but i can't, even after few tries with different starts. The most interesting experience i got while playing basic ass human in a basic ass town with a nasty stinky but also basic culture lore. And basic isn't bad, but when game offers you a bunch of options and most of them are cut af. It's discouraging. What also discouraging is lack of any reward from exploration, i run through whole map from one end to another in almost straights line (those who know how much running that is would understand) and towns, faces, terrain, everything felt and looked the same. No interactions, no exploration, no nothing except dying and making a camp OR a big camp. And what then? Boredom and a lot of time spend just waiting for things. I'm not a fan of windows loading time simulators.

Guess I'm not sophisticated enough to enjoy things like that, but i really tried

I know stan culture is a huge part of fandom and while yes, sometimes I find it annoying it doesn’t really hurt anyone, so I find it okay.

That said I need words with Percy Jackson and Tim Drake stans, because I am sick and tired 😭😭.

I was scrolling through the Will Solace tag because he is my baby and I will defend him for life and obviously as consequence I see a lot of artwork about the battle of Manhattan and all the angst that comes along with it.

I don’t usually see people blaming Percy for Michael’s death which is fine cause it absolutely wasn’t Percy’s fault, even if I personally don’t believe a 12 year old would be mature enough to see it that way.

Still, I saw a post talking about how sad it was that Will got dragged away to heal Annabeth and couldn’t help the Apollo Cabin search for his bother. It was mostly going into detail about how he might feel responsible for not being there when most of his siblings died.

And I thought wow, that’s really angsty and then I went to the comments and the first thing I saw was a Percy Jackson fan saying it’s not Percy’s fault and Will should get over it because it’s war and shit happens.

Like hello? That is a 12 year old??? No one’s saying it was Percy’s fault, but how the hell do you expect a literal 12 year old to get over his brothers death seconds after it happened?!?!

And again in Dc comics.

This happens way too often, but specially in that one scene where Damian finds out Tim has him on like this hit list-contingency plan thing and obviously he gets upset, because he sees it as Tim still punishing him over something he is trying really hard to redeem himself for.

And then I look at the comments and someone’s going.

Well Damian shouldn’t be upset, his actions have consequences and he was the one that broke into Tim’s computer. He shouldn’t get mad.

He’s 10???? Have you met children? Have you met a 10 year old?? They call you names and bully you but the moment you turn it back on them they start crying. Why? Cause they’re 10!

I don’t understand the disconnect some people have when trying to understand children. Like hasn’t everybody been a child? They aren’t mature enough to handle big emotions and nuanced situations cause they don’t have a frontal lobe yet.

I really don’t understand how anyone can get mad at the child character for not being ‘mature enough’ to handle a situation and it drives me insane.

Hi Scarlet Hollow nation, I’m being completely normal about Dr. Joan Kelly I promise (I’m lying)

I want to make it clear that I don’t condone her actions. She is a horrible woman who caused irreversible trauma to her son and she should be held accountable for it. People do insane things when they are scared and I think that’s especially true for her. I know a lot of people are like “If Reese was my son I would figure out coping methods to prevent him from becoming a monster.” And sure! Maybe you would! But logically, I think watching your virgin birth child’s bones crack and reform would psychologically fuck you up. ESPECIALLY when it mainly happens when he’s mad. Like!! Imagine telling your son no to staying up late and he morphs into a creature that can easily overpower you and kill you because he’s unreasonably pissed. We don’t know what Reese was like in those three other instances. While he’s generally just kinda depressed now, we’ve seen first hand how his emotions take over when he’s angry.

And don’t come at me. I know that Reese becoming a monster is a metaphor for neurodivergence and mental illness! I also love his character and could write a novel on him because I think he’s great! However, within the physical world of Scarlet Hollow, he literally transforms into like an 8 foot tall monster who can unhinge his jaw and murder people. While from our perspective, it may be something to examine and find the symbolism in, from the Scarlet Hollow perspective he is akin to a massive predator with magical powers.

I just think it’s important to recognize that Joan is also a victim of the horrible town of Scarlet Hollow. The methods which she uses to survive are NOT ok. Again, i want to make it clear that I DONT condone her poisoning her son. Still, I can see why she felt the need to do what she did. She is a complicated character, as are all of the Scarlet Hollow NPCs.

Back to being silly now! I also like her because she’s hot and I would let her commit acts of medical malpractice on me <3

Welcome to my rant about one of my dearest headcanons...

Cross-dominant (handed) MePhone!

So, what might bring me to this headcanon? Why would it be my dearest?

First — you can see it in canon a lot.

Sure, MePhone4 isn’t the only character in Inanimate Insanity who switches hands, a lot of them do it. (noticed it mostly with OJ when I was looking through Pinterest for screenshots.) However, that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t have some backing inside of canon.

First, let’s look at some pictures where MePhone is using his right hand as his dominant hand.

Here you can see him clearly emoting with his right hand, — which I’ve noticed people tend to do with their dominant hand a lot more —, and also the bumper cars.

In other instances throughout the show, we can see MePhone using his left hand as one would use their dominant hand.

As we can also see here, it’s not a thing that’s limited to III alone.

On the topic of III, have you ever noticed he also uses his left hand as his dominant hand in the intro?

Oh, and let’s get the biggest thing out of the way, he writes with his left hand.

Second — why cross-dominant? why not just ambidextrous?

Headcanon territory time! Time for me to start self-indulging.

I believe MePhone4 is naturally left-handed, that’s his true handedness. But, like many people in real like, he was forced to use his right-hand. (He learned to use his left-hand in writing for funsies, but found that it was way more comfortable than using his right and stuck with it.)

I genuinely believe that Cobs would believe left-handedness was inferiour, and that it would hurt his reputation if one of his creations was left-handed.

Sure, MePhone4 might have been created by him, but he’s still his own object who clearly has his own opinions and mental issues, I fully believe he could have turned out left-handed just because, honestly.

Even if MePhone is capable of using both of his hands, he has strong preferences, and automatically switches them when doing different tasks.

Third — any other things?

Oh, you bet!

Forced use of the right-hand can cause issues! Who would of thought.

As we can see here, it can cause learning disorders, and since many people have started headcanoning MePhone with dyslexia I feel like it fits.

Also to take from my own headcanon pile — I believe he stutters. He had just learned to stay quiet until he feels like he can speak clearly and fluidly again.
