you may recall my rendering of a tale about a former resident, who dumped his box of bank receipts? Well it was BANK coinciding with our desire to create (mock) currency (the PEOPLES (or rather Young folk) FUNd, "money" jazzed up in making ZigZags around the SY STEMming our own FLOW, embodied Currency. It was also a take off on pre-Civil war Money which was literally preFigured around Black bodies. Like BANK for real. Probwhere term MEan Green/d comes from. So, we put our Object Trouve' to good use making community uPond gluing and printing tweaking images of the neighborhood children to 3 Layers of Receipts.... --Julie Patton

Eco-Arts P/Ark: "We reuse everything as you can see...the seed packets are collected and reused for collage. Light feeds the flowers...sometimes they played with the language on the page, added straw from the floor, sprinkled water and let the images drip. Aprons, embroidered table cloths become useful framing devices. They wear them too. As hosts and to step outside of their usual identity to take on another role." --Julie Patton

"The collages on Cleveland Museum of Art found blueprints form the 1950's concern lighting details...the children used this as a jumping off point. We reuse everything as you can see...the seed packets are collected and reused for collage. Light feeds the flowers...sometimes they played with the language on the page, added straw from the floor, sprinkled water and let the images drip." --Julie Patton

Eco/Arts P/Ark: Art installation in the Salon des Refuse: Making a bed of upcycled collages. Collective unconscious connection of making art and making a bed. LOL.

"Billie Holiday in her apron with flowers all around (feeding her dog Mister) is the Salon's patron saint and mascot. We present the gardenia hair'd, flowery kitchen plant'd diva as an eco-artist, someoe concerned with nature, the environment (strange fruit) and making do with what she had." --Julie Patton
