as mentioned in this post, i had a couple takes on this year's prompts that i ended up not using. so here they are, and most of them i still really like!!

Content Warning: blood and gore, nudity

day 10: horns. this was always going to be matt comforting tom and also a bit of backstory as to how matt knows tom likes horn scratches :3 buuut i realized it would take way too many pages and panels to make it believable, especially since this was supposed to be taking place directly after day 3: gashes. plus, monster tom wouldn't even let edd close enough to touch him after something like that, let alone matt. still like a lot of the poses here. i loooove my monster tom design <3<3<3<3

day 12: burning. i initially really wanted to do a more detailed, gory and scary piece for this prompt still based on matt catching fire in the sun. i was super busy that day though, so i decided to go with something else. still think this sketch kicks ass though.

day 13: headache. as you can see i got pretty dang far in this one. i knew i wanted it to be tord, but i ended up deciding this just didn't feel "headache-y" enough. even if i did add a blood splatter on the wall, tord's expression just didn't work with the prompt. i still like how this one looks, though, so i just came up with a new idea instead.

day 29: teeth. this is by far the one i had the most trouble with. i went through many sketches with my first idea (zombie tord obv), and didn't like Any of them. teeth are not easy to draw. i actually really like how take 2 looks (right), but it didn't really match the prompt... so i went looking through my past art with zombie tord and eventually settled on a panel redraw, which i fucking LOVE.

and finally, day 30: dinnertime. i had a lot more ideas for this one. i mean, c'mon, who doesn't love a little consensual cannibalism? <3 but i decided that something a little more symbolic with edd giving himself to his partners was the right way to go. and i really like both takes! the reason i didn't go for this one is because... yeah fuck that perspective. great idea, would be a HUGE fuckin pain to actually commit to. so i went for a similar but simpler idea that i actually think turned out way better than what i could've done with this idea.
