messy brow: an asymmetrical, fluffy straight brow

i’ve wanted to foray into making brows for a while now, and this is my first attempt.  i modeled them after my own eyebrows. c:  in the future, i -do- have tentative plans to recolor these, as well as make them a little bigger and also make them look less alpha, more clay, but this version has its own merit as my first brow. <3

btw if you use them in-game, i’d love to see screenshots!  mine’s a very, very small simblr so i really don’t know if anyone uses what little content i’ve made (besides me).

what you need to know: hand-painted 18 swatches maxis match custom thumbnails unnatural shades + light blonde + light gray disabled for random

my hard drive crashed a few months ago, so unfortunately, i lost the legacy home i was playing for a lot of quarantine--as well as the handful of cc projects i was working on and all of the mods i’d downloaded to spice up my game.  fresh starts can be nice sometimes, though, so here’s liepa maas, the founder of a new egalitarian/modern/living will/tolerant legacy.  she’s just taken up residence at a 64x64 windenburg lot, and she’s facing an extreme start at the beginning of winter with not a single simoleon to her name.  at least she looks cute though, right?

Something Like Stucco Walls in Copicish

My first few posts here are probably going to be love letters to the crafters of cc who have inspired me.  I love everything amoebae does, but I especially love the care they put into their Copicish palette.  Every color they’ve chosen is vibrant but muted.  It feels like a collection of my favorite colors.  It’s even changed my attitude towards colors I might otherwise shy away from--especially oranges and yellows.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to recolor their linen wall texture, which is lovelier & more intricate than anything I’ve been able figure out how to replicate on my own, and looks magical.  There’s some extra detailing on those walls that give them more dimension than a simple filter in Photoshop or Gimp.  And therein lies the magic: the unknown!  But I’ve failed over and over again at trying to strip the texture of the color while still retaining the integrity of the pattern.  I’m new to this!  I’m learning!

While taking a breather from my ever-failing recolor attempts, I realized that what I really needed--moreso than infinite colors of linen walls--was a stucco-textured wall I could use on the outside of my Legacy house, a mansion inspired by Lithuanian thatch-roof houses (yes, it’s as weird and frustrating but beautiful as it sounds).  Up until this point, yes, I had been using one of amoebae’s linen walls on the outside of my house.  I was happy.  I’m not ashamed because they’re so pretty!  But I can’t mute the part of my brain that knows linen walls wouldn’t be able to hold up in the rain.

Fast forward one sleepless night, and I’ve succeeded at making some decent stucco walls in amoebae’s Copicish palette.  And now I’m ready to share.

You don’t need to ask--just credit me if you reuse & reupload.  :^)  Please, if it applies, do your best to also credit whoever’s cc I’ve used/referenced/borrowed from & scope out their TOU.  Feel free to drop me a line or tag me if you want me to see how you’re using or editing my stuff!

If you repurpose any of my stuff, don’t put it on paysites (including patreon early access, even if you intend to make it free “later”) & don’t use url shorteners or ad clickthroughs (like adf.ly or shorte.st, but including others).  We’ve all already paid an arm & a leg & then some for our computers & the game & its packs.  The programs we use to create & edit cc are free.  Don’t pay for cc.  Likewise, keep cc free.

That being said, it’s okay to pair whatever you’ve used my cc for with an optional link to your Venmo, cash.app, Paypal, ko.fi, or whatever for tips!  (& now’s probably a good time to remind you that if you’re in the US, tipping at restaurants is not optional; always tip your bartenders & servers at least 20% in normal circumstances--more during a pandemic, even for takeout :^) )
