oh boy. it has been a while.

hello friends! it's been quite a bit since i've posted a brain update, but i figured i should get back into the habit of at least making observations about my day in relation to my craft. it has certainly been a while since i've held a ritual, which pains me to say. i've been a tad busy, what with life and academics, and such; however! i want to get back into my craft, because for a really good while, i was doing well.

not very much spell-work recently, or at all really. i have been doing a lot of prayer and meditation, and general self-reflective practices in the last few months, though! (kinda proud of myself!) the last time i did anything related to my craft, i was toying around with the idea of sigils and runes, which i haven't entirely dropped yet. but yeah- that's my super short brain spill. :) thanks for reading!

recently, i've been feeling a little bit empty. i think it's because i haven't been updating my grimoire, or meditating, but i guess i'm waiting. i'm waiting for the new moon so that i can start fresh and craft up some good protection spells (i've been getting into a lot of weird, kind of unsettling things lately, i want to try and work with my intuition.) this is relatively short because it's all i really have to say. in the meantime, i have noticed a lot of positive feedback on my first spell! i didn't think people would read and pay mind to what i have to say. i've been getting into contact with more witches and it's been really lovely! this community is very accepting and willing to teach, which i very much appreciate. i guess that's all for now... thank you for reading! :)

a spell for heightening sexual energy!

generally speaking, i'm naturally very flirty and easygoing; i much enjoy lust and sex for what it is. pleasure in moderation is an absolutely beautiful thing, and as humans, we need to enjoy it when it comes our way.

that said, here's a small spell for whatever you may need in your sexual endeavors. this is more for heightening your inner primal desire, as opposed to a desire for settling and romance.

what you'll need:

- some incense (i prefer stronger, muskier smells for this sort of spell; but whatever charges your sexuality will work just fine.)

- a mirror

- a candle

STEP ONE: light your candle. let it burn for about a minute, just to warm it up. i usually do this with my lights off.

STEP TWO: take your incense, and from the flame in the candle, light it so that it begins to emit scent. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF OR ANYTHING AROUND YOU.

STEP THREE: meditate! cleanse your energy so that you can fill it with this fresh passion and sexual strength. try to envision yourself in a warm light, on your own. slowly, but surely, bring the person that you most long for into the light with you in your mind.

STEP FOUR: when you are at a point in your meditation where you and the person you want to be with are together, recite this:

let desire be fulfilled

and may you be in my court

sigh, content with pleasure

everlust evermore

STEP FIVE: come out of your meditation, and safely extinguish your candles and incense. look into your mirror and recite the words again; finish with rubbing the ashes of your incense on your wrists or behind your ears.

To Those Who Work with Spirits

1. Spirits and entities are not something that you trade like a Pokemon card. This is a deplorable and disgusting practice. Remember that spirit went home to be with you, not to be treated like a novelty or an inanimate object. This is not a game of “I’ll trade you two vampires for your werewolf.” This is not “let me see what I need to complete my collection.” This is not “I am bored so I’ll just get rid of them and get another one to suit my fancy.” Spirits and entities are cognizant beings with feelings and emotions. If you are engaged in this, there is a high probability that either the spirit will fuck your life up, or straight up leave you. If you wouldn’t do this to your friends or family, don’t do this to them. 

2. When bringing a spirit or entity home, you are bringing them home for the rest of your mortal and immortal life. Do not take this lightly. Once you start working with spirits your entire life changes, and as long as you treat them right, it will change for the better. They can follow you from life to life if they so desire, so be wise about it. 

3. Be prepared for everything that goes along with it, seeing and hearing spirits, broken or changed sleeping patterns, harsh life lessons (they will make you struggle to make sure you grow. If you don’t want this, don’t work with spirits…please), societal stigmatization (not everyone understands or will believe you, you have to believe in yourself), time dedicated to working with them, making offerings, as well as much more. This is not a game. This is an ancient practice of working with intelligent beings in order to gain a more meaningful life by learning from them.

4. Always set your ground rules when working with spirits. If you are lenient with your rules and not much bothers you, then that’s what works for you. If you are more grounded about your rules and have a ton of them, then that’s cool. Do what works for you. Remember rules are set in place to keep everyone happy and safe. While you may love your demon to pieces cause they look like a fluffy kitty cat and know they would never harm you/give you nightmares, it doesn’t mean that they won’t do it to someone else if they feel you’ve been harmed and are trying to protect you. You need rules to keep everyone safe, period.

5. If a spirit/entity says that they are uncomfortable with something that you are doing, ie wearing their vessel during a certain act, engaging in nefarious deeds, doing something that will give you bad karma. Listen to them, respect them, and take it seriously. Never force a spirit to do something they don’t want to do. Nothing good can come from that. Spirit and human relationships are formed through the process of respect.

it's been a very eventful day! i went out with my family to the local swimming centre. it was quite nice! last night, after i published my brain rant, i realized that i didn't really introduce myself all that well. (i'm sure it's not SUPER necessary, but i'd like to think that people read my posts...) so, i thought i'd introduce myself today and give you my witchy update!

there are a few names that i go by offline and online, but for the sake of my witchcraft, i'd like to be known as eist, (pronounced like the word EAST!) or river. i won't share my age, simply for the sake of privacy. i'm a non-binary, pansexual/greyromantic humanoid, who longs to better her craft. i am currently focused on moon magic, love magic, and energy/aura work. ah... what else? i won't share in which state i live, because i'd rather not people try to find me, but i was born in honolulu, hawai'i. i'm pretty politically voiced, especially as a person of color (native hawaiian/japanese/palauan) and i absolutely want to study politics in the near future.

aside from my introduction, i guess i'll get into my witchy observations for the day; there aren't many, but they still count! here's some background about the swimming centre that i swam at today. it's a pretty nice environment, very family-friendly. i know someone who lifeguards there; for quite some time i've had the tiniest bit of affection for him. he's funny, and charming, and DEFINITELY handsome. we have a flirty back and forth, but today my energy must have been extra attractive. every time he looked at me, he looked so shy and red, and his hands were almost always in front of his... well... area. he giggled every time i said hi, and i really felt like i had his attention. but it doesn't stop there- i seemed to have grabbed the attention of someone ELSE. i don't know him at all, but he kept looking at me, and smiling, and he made sure to keep eye contact when he had it. it was interesting. after the swimming centre, my family and i went to eat. the restaurant we chose was relatively empty, but the second we sat down to start eating, BOOM, it became super super packed with business. this happens a lot whenever my mother and i go anywhere at any time; it's empty when we walk in, and busy when we walk out. she says it's because of our positive energy; it draws people in, which is always cool! that's all for today, i guess... thanks for reading! :)

i've started using this platform for what i REALLY want to discover; witchcraft! i'm excited to join a community that i feel i highly relate to on several levels. i'm nervous to be starting, but i hope to post spells and maybe some grimoire entries if i feel up for it... i'm so excited to be embarking on this journey, especially after looking into witchcraft a while ago only to never actually begin my study. currently, i am most fascinated with love magic and moon magic, along with lots of energy/aura study that can include shamanism and palmistry/tarot. my aura reading has gotten much stronger, and i thank the goddess Selene for that. i can see the colors of auras much clearer now, and i've been reading them fairly accurately as of late. i've always been sort of a spiritual medium, if you will. i have a stronger intuition and "sixth sense" than most do. i guess that's all i have to say for now... :) until next time!

Firmly tie up in a small green square of cloth some fresh, rich soil.

Carry this with you if you have troubles with stability, security, and self-control; if you are apt to let your emotions rule your life or if you are constantly angry or nervous.

Earth Scrying:🏵️🏵️

Fill a small flat vessel at least 7 inches in diameter with earth.

Sir relaxed and gaze into the soil.

You will eventually notice the symbols staring uo from the earth.

Earth Protection Bottle: 🌼🌳

Pour fresh, clean soil into a bottle.

Fill it to the top and close it.

Place the bottle near an entrance, preferably a window, to guard against evil entering into your house.

Siren’s Lipstick Spell

A spell to make one’s words more desirable to listen to and to capture the attention of listeners. Helps them hold onto your every word and especially good for flirting.

You Will Need:

Red Lipstick

A Mirror

Sugar

(Optional) Rose Quartz to place before you

Steps:

Wash your face and do your  make up as you normally you would. 

“My words are as sweet as sugar, they attract and lure like a song” 

Take your sugar and place it onto your tongue and close your mouth. Let it dissolve away, as it does think about how you want your words to affect others.

“I will captivate.” Say this three times looking into the mirror

Take your red lipstick and paint your lips with it. Hum during this part a melody that you associate with beauty.

Rub your lips together and do a ‘mwah!’ to the mirror. “May my song begin!” And close the spell as you see fit such as blowing a kiss or winking at the mirror. 

Other Notes: this spell can be enhanced by pairing it with perfumes that attract love and represent beauty such as rose perfume.

Glowing Confidence Spell Mist

I created this spell with the intention of having an on-the-go glamour of sorts.  Something I’d be able to use when feeling less confident, or needed a boost.  It only felt right to share it with all of you <3

Ingredients:

Full moon water

3 rose petals

1 rose quartz crystal

1 clear quartz crystal

1 spray bottle)

Directions:

Swirl your moon water clockwise in a small bowl, and add each rose petal one by one. 

For the first petal, stir and say 

“With this petal I welcome in positivity and confidence”

For the second petal, stir and say

“With this petal I understand my own beauty”

For the third petal, stir and say

“With this petal, I remind myself that I am deserving of self-love”

Carefully pour this into your spray bottle once the water is still, and add your two crystals.  Spritz on yourself when in need of a boost of self-confidence or beauty,

Glamour Magick

What is glamour?

Simply put, Glamour is an illusion. 

Is glamour real? Can it really change my appearance?

Yes, glamour is real! No, it cannot change your appearance. It is used more so to embody traits & gain confidence. It alters your aura, therefore altering the way you may be seen/perceived.

How do I use glamour magick?

Typically, glamour is intertwined with your “getting ready” routine. Think of glamour spells as a pretty coat you put on before leaving your house, or a pretty pin in your hair that makes you feel beautiful. Its one of the types of magick that we can use to transform mundane activities into enchanting activities. Here are some examples of intentions:

-be kind, appear softer, appear stronger, gain confidence, to look powerful, be sexy, speak with confidence in front of a crowd, be focused, etc.

i do not recommend using glamour for any of the following: make _____ love me, to banish or hex, to get a job, to get money.

remember that glamour is about giving you that extra boost to achieve your intention. its like a crutch, use it to enhance your aura… for example: instead of “making ___ fall for you” you can use glamour to exude a sexy and confident energy, which will likely draw him into you by highlighting your best qualities. instead of “getting a job” you can use glamour to help you come across as professional, powerful,and focused which will likely result in gaining respect from your interviewer and leaving you on their mind for the position. 

How to cast glamours

Most glamours are very simple, and you likely have the tools you may need already. Simply 

1. pick your intention  2. choose what tools/methods will work the best for your needs 3.Write your spell down 4.cast it!

Ex. 1. I want to appear to be softer. 2. I decide i am going to enchant my perfume by drawing a sigil on the bottom of the bottle in pink sharpie, and charge it with a short incantation. 3. Draw up your sigil, and write/find an incantation that sits with you well and helps your energy flow. You can sing a song as well, whatever gets that flow going. 4. Cleanse & Do the damn thing!

For yourself, or someone in need! Just a quick spell with easy-to-get-ahold-of items.😊

what you need: 

-3 white or black candles (one or the other)

-rose quartz

-lapis lasuli

-lavender buds

-anything else you like to keep on your alter or that you think would help!

go ahead and set up your alter, and try your best to make it symmetrical, then do anything you usually like to before a ritual.

light candles, and begin the ceremony.

Recite: 

“for my beloved ____” (insert the name of who you would like affected, say “self” if its you)

“may you help end this depression may this spell not lead to repression may earth and air bless may fire and water cleanse may you null its persistence and one day end its existence”

Recite end of ritual chant, and blow out candles. You’re all done!
