Life is only worth living if you factor in nature, fanfiction, art, math, biology, philosophy, and basically anything new to learn and enjoy. In other words, being a nerd is the way to go :3

Having to deal with going from being the top of the class to struggling to understand basic things others don't even need to study actually sucks. Can't even make peace with it when your entire worth feels like it depends on academic achievements. ESPECIALLY when you don't really have a will to live and nothing to actually want to persevere for. Well, other than not wanting to traumatize the people close to your heart. LOL.
#Logically I completely understand that I am struggling because of how much stuff I missed#And also because I am constantly mentally exhausted and my brain just doesn't work as well anymore#But yeah no#I just feel plain stupid#which is funny because I have always been of the belief that “stupid” people don't exist#chronically ill

Ah yes, falling behind academically after falling ill at a young age and not being able to attend school and subsequently feeling stupid as you watch people around you easily process information and look at you with genuine disbelief when you have trouble understanding something. My favorite thing in the world.

that moment where you go from
"this is fine" to the crashout "i cannot live like this anymore"
is so unanimously understood in the chronic pain/illness circle but if you try to explain it to someone who has never experienced it they are going to look at you like you are nuts (AT BEST)

I am 100% convinced that the only thing stopping people who say they don't like animals from loving said animals is their own unwillingness to approach enough as to feel the warmth of a dog's tackling hugs, the vulnerability of a cat purring and kneading against their lap, or the preciousness of having a bird wrap their little claws around their finger.
#This of course is not about people who are suffering from trauma related to animals#And there is of course the absolute honor of watching wildlife in its natural habitat without disturbing the peace#in other words animals are amazing#animals#emerald rambles#You know#I imagine having a snake slowly wrapping around your arm is just as beautiful#or a hairy spider climbing up your leg

There are a lot of stunning examples of breeding plumage in the world of birds but even among all the flashy colors and fancy patterns I think my favorite has to be the male blue-gray gnatcatcher’s unibrow. When breeding season comes and they need to set themselves apart they literally grow a unibrow.

I must stress the unibrow has no purpose but to help him get laid. If you’re a male BGGC and you want to get laid, you aren’t gonna stand a chance unless you grow yourself a black unibrow and prance around with a fanned tail like this

To a female blue-gray gnatcatcher, there is nothing sexier!

also, deer are simultaneously satan’s weakest and strongest soldiers. they die like hamsters or survive things that really should have killed them. biting the dust from an internal hemorrhage after jumping over a fence or surviving 10+ years with an arrow imbedded in their side. fate rolls the dice on every injury and they either get a 0 or a 20. keeping them alive is hard. killing them is also hard.

Its obvious to me when people who post about canaries in mines have never met a canary. Like yeah the miners had a special device to revive the canary because canaries are one of the most adorable creatures on the planet and they make adorable little chirping sounds and honestly probably loved the sounds of machinery and people talking so it was probably loud and friendly with the workers. Whatever though maybe meet a canary sometime and youd understand

So I've seen the whole 'Math's Saddest Love Stories' (asymptotes that drift ever closer but never meet etc.), but I think we're missing the potential of Math's Funny Love Stories. The couple whose destiny is an infinite cycle of breaking up and getting back together again:
Oscillating rapidly in and out of each other's life for a while before drifting apart in opposite directions:
Drifting ever closer, until you finally meet and go fuck that:
One who drifts slowly closer to the other, until they acutally meet and decide to make a very sharp turn in the other direction:
Whatever hellscape of contrived coincidences these series of infinite near misses are:
#so real#why cry over asymptotes when you can laugh at them#math#the sharp turn would make me cry though#rip y = -x
