I think I'm finally getting satisfied with these crystal wings. It only took me three attempts LMAO

Nothing fancy and this is still very much unfinished, just testing how animated GIFs scale

Halfway through texturing this, it's honestly quite amazing what a few low-res textures can do. I have a slightly different idea for the wings in mind that deviates quite a bit from the sketch I did. I really like how the alpha textures are coming out. Ignore the weirdness starting from the lower legs since those are the parts still pending on UV unfolding.

Warmed up the lighting and drew the crystal wings on the left but now I feel like the crystal wings on the right look a little sloppy compared to the more recently drawn ones on the left so I might go and re-do those haha. I've also warmed up the lighting and tweaked a few other things. I'm going to try adding a fin since it's detail and will add to the form a little bit

Despite all efforts, I could never get satisfied with how the ice antlers looked, so I figured it's time to improvise! I'm now replacing what would've been ice antlers with these crystalline wings. I originally intended for them to be all one colour, but then I thought naw, if I have access to all the colours I must therefore use all the colours

I also just realized how much of an infatuation I have with drawing gems or crystals in general, since that is another recurring theme in my art besides the thing I have going on with teeth LMAO
