Via Raymund Tiu.
The life of a start-up is full of high highs and really low lows.
The only thing to always make sure to do is to just keep moving forward - even if it seems that there is no way forward.
Perhaps it's the momentum that opens up new doors for you.

Cairo. On January 1st, I was walking home on my usual route, when I saw hundreds of Origami swans flying over Maraashli Street. The swans decorated the entire block, high up on the trees, and they flew over the local Mosque and cafés. It was a surprising and splendid site - which really made my day. This temporary installation transformed Maraashli street into a whimsical origami playground.

My sister and best friend arrived today in the early afternoon. They're visiting for one week! We spent the day and early evening at Tivoli gardens. At sunset, the entire amusement park is illuminated by fairy lights.

The Design Lab at IT University of Copenhagen
Each one of those protrusions is a meeting room. Beautiful architecture!
I went to the Design LAB to see Phill Chambers, Podio CTO, talk about their story as a startup. I love how this Danish startup decided to launch in San Francisco by opening a Podio Store and hosting Podio parties.

Labitat - hackerspace. I went to visit Labitat with Eric from OneLoudr and Walter from Archify.
My favorite hacked object was the fridge. A hacked laptop, barcode scanner, num keypad, and a USB card swipe reader make a fancy fridge vending machine. Scan the item you want that's in the fridge, the decapitated laptop monitor displays the price check. Simply swipe your card in the reader to buy. Very cool.
Visitors are always welcome.

This week is the 2011 UCI Road World Championships (September 19th to the 25th). I was biking to work, when I hear some loud, Spanish cursing. I turn my head and see the women's Spanish team flipping off some surprised bus passengers. It took them 5 seconds to zoom past me and disappear.

Egg muffin & chili paste at Cafè Granola in Vesterbro.
Granola has yummy milkshakes and beautiful 1930s-inspired industrial furniture. Perfect way to begin a lazy, overcast Sunday.

This is the view from my window. I have a great little window seat where I can spy on bubbas (dogs) walking along the dirt path below. I miss Wes.
