Rey snickered, he felt like he knew that sound all too well. “Too bad we can’t get revenge by doing the same.” he hummed out loud. Rey probably could, but not everyday.
“Friends.. Oh Eugene and Abagail, I remember them from the debrief. I didn’t think they’d hole up in Seattle at all to be honest with you.”
It’s hard to fight back the tired scoff that comes out of him, a shrug following soon after. “Probably running around with those friends of his, goofing off.” Which was fine, as long as he wasn’t getting phone calls he assumed things were alright. Well, not the best idea sometimes but keeping tabs on one conduit was hard enough.
Nevermind two extra.
“If not that they’re at the house eating all the junk food. Again.”

Close to three hours?
Reggie pressed his fingers against his eyes until colour exploded behind his eyelids as he processed. “Probably, and I don’t know. Last thing I remember...”
Weight, pain, it’s coming and it- Gotta let go, gotta... say goodbye.
“The water to be pretty honest with you. Do you still have that phone? Can I use it?” He asked shifting slowly so he didn’t hurt his leg anymore. He’d figure out his mystery transport from one city to another later. He needed to talk to Delsin.
“A few hours.”
In the same moment Hiro responded, Baymax chimed in with a more precise answer, “Two hours and forty-seven minutes.”
The bot’s attempt at helpfulness only had Hiro rolling his eyes as he held out a glass of water to Reggie. “Here. You look like you were in the ocean a while,” he offered by way of explanation, “you’re probably gonna be dehydrated. How’d you end up there in the first place? Pretty long swim, if you ask me.”

This was why he enjoyed talking more to his original. There was no judgment despite the similarities. That and he supported the clone’s intent to become someone different.
He smiled at Reggie, “Worse case that could happen. You never know. So what is your brother up to anyways?” He wasn’t going to tell, but he rarely spoke with his original where something hadn’t interrupted them. He’d like to know more than what he’d been told.
“Then I wish you luck if you ever decide to.” It’s a light joke, flexing his arm in relief at the lack of tension. “Who knows, you may end up loving it.” He wanted Rey to find things he enjoyed, be more than what the DUP had intended him to be. Because as hard as they tried, they just didn’t quite get Reggie right.
Which was fine, it made the other more able to become something else and not be tied to Reggie in another way besides the odd friendship they’d grown between them

Reggie sat up slowly taking in his surroundings carefully. “I’ll visit one later.” he sighed reaching out to press a hand against his leg, the one he hadn’t been able to walk on earlier. “How long was I out?”
He was no longer as frantic as he had been, but he still worried. He’d been certain his brother was going to get captured if he’d hung on. Now he was worried Delsin believed he was dead. He needed to fix that as soon as possible. But only after he figured out where he was, he couldn’t actually be in Sanfran?
“Psst. Hey. Dude. You back with the world of the living?” Hiro peered down at Reggie, more curious than concerned. Behind him, the balloon-like head of Baymax hovered, blinking at his patient regaining consciousness. With a small noise, Hiro drew back to give Reggie some space, in the same motion gesturing to the garage they were in. “You kinda zonked out on the beach, so I had Baymax haul you back here–even though I seriously think you should be in a hospital.”
A bob from Baymax served as a nod. “I am only a healthcare companion, I am not a medical professional. You are: stable. I recommend a visit with a physician as soon as possible.”

Rey knows the feeling of the twinge, on occaision he did too much and his muscles protested, newer as they were sometimes they weren’t used to working. When he was sure Reggie’s arm was alright he let go and sat back.
“Probably and I’d probably go along just once to see what it’s like.” And to do damage control so Reggie didn’t have a heart attack. He enjoyed talking with his original.
The arm becomes more compliant in the others’ hold, taking away a constant twinge that seemed to appear whenever he overworked the appendage. Reggie gives a low sigh in thanks. Rey had a point, from the beginning he had stressed wanting to be an individual, and Reggie full understood.
You give someone consciousness, they’re going to question and go against whatever they were created for. The Sheriff couldn’t help but think how entirely selfish it was to create someone solely for one reason.
“Then he’d definitely like you.” He offers another smile, flexing his hand in relief. “But he’d try to persuade you into going on one of his tirades with him. Which never end well, as you probably know.”

Reggie had to laugh when Hiro mentioned his name, “you got worse?” he asked and chuckled, he reached up to try and unclog his ears. He could swear he was hearing squeaking in the distance and it couldn’t be because he was starting to feel the ache.
He creaked on occaision, but never squeaked.
“You hear about what’s happening in S-seattle?” He mumbled, and then shook his head. “Sorry. I feel about rea- ready to sleep.”
“Buddy, I don’t even need to guess what ‘Reggie’ is short for.” Hiro couldn’t think of any other name it could possibly be a nickname of, but he’d make a point of picking on the guy for a stuffy name later. After he was recovered and not looking as though he would pass out at any second.
“Alright, Reggie from Salmon Bay, sit tight. Baymax’ll be here in a few minutes, he’ll get you patched up and stable, then we can figure out how the hell you ended up in San Fransokyo when you’re from an entirely different state.” Maybe the guy was capable of flight? He had heard of a few Conduits like that. “What kinda trouble is your brother in, anyway?”
#technoheart#v;survivor#if you want to time skip to where he's not freezing his butt off and really hurt you can#unless you think we can go further#I think Reggie's jsut about to pass out though

Reggie sat down stretching out his injured leg before him. It took him a moment to realized Hiro was talking to him. Asking him questions, of course he should have realized he needed to stay awake. It was getting harder by the second.
“Reggie, you don’t want to know what it’s short for.” Reginald had been the bane of his childhood. “I’m from S-Salmon Bay. out by Seattle.” He continued slowly, going through the small list in front of him.
“Delsin, my brother’s Delsin Rowe, he’s in trouble. I- I should-” He want’s with every fiber of his being but his body was being stubborn, He wasn’t moving anytime soon. Not with the pain beginning to leak into his every thought.
“Don’t worry, he’ll be here in a few minutes.” It was times like this Hiro wished Baymax was a little faster. Waddling across sand was normally a hilarious sight, but today left little room for comedy and Baymax’s struggles were wasting precious time.
In the mean time, the young teen gestured for Reggie to stay sitting as Hiro crouched down in front of him, the boy’s hands on his knees as he peered closely at the stranger.
“I’m not exactly a medical professional, so bear with me here. Uh… so probably wanna keep you talking, right? You gotta name? Where’d you even come from? Did you say what your brother’s name was? ‘cause if you pass out or something, I’m gonna need to know, if you want him to get a call.”

Rey watched him working on his arm, he held out a hand making a ‘give me’ motion. The very least he knew was how to make aches and pains go away. While he worked on the arm, he hummed. “I don’t think he’ll have to worry about that.”
While he was Reggie’s clone, he had no want or need to take what the man already had, or do what he already did. This was why he called himself defective, even if by the scientists standards he was a success.
“Honestly? Haven’t thought that far.” The older–by technical terms–gives a sigh and works a tendon in his arm. Knowing Delsin, he’d be more freaked out by the fact there was another him. In his little brothers head, that would equal another pair of eyes, another mouth to lecture him.
“It probably won’t be that bad; he’ll be more concerned if you’re like me. I tend to hover. Nag. all those affectionate words.” He offers a smile for the other. “But I think he’d like you.”

That worried Rey, Delsin didn’t know he was a clone of his brother. That would be a fun conversation, and one he hoped he was far enough away the conduit wouldn’t try to kill him for it.
“I guess that’s fair, how do you explain that you have an honest to god clone?” He snorted at the thought.
Rey snorted in response to that, he stretched feeling the muscles in his shoulders that had tensed up during that conversation. Maybe it was a response to confronting the fact his existence has been rather short compared to Reggie’s. Or just the idea of a job itself.
“I dunno man, I’ll take a look into it. Anyways, quick question.”
He was just surprised he hadn’t asked about this sooner, it just came to him on the topic of passion. He knew his original was an older brother, it had been his mission originally. To get close to said brother.
“Does Delsin know I exist?” Or was he going to one day be walking down the street and get confused as Reggie.

Reggie stopped trying to stand up at the mention of a nursebot. “Nursebot?” he asked blearily. His vision was blurring further the longer he was awake. The injury, and drowning however made sense.
“Fine, just get them here, I’m in no condition to... walk.” San Fran, he was all the way in San Fran? That made no sense whatsoever. At least not to him,
Hastily, Hiro took a step away from Reggie, alarmed by the comment. “Whoa, wait-a minute, pal. Did you say they’d call the DUPs? Those guys are swarming Seattle right now, I don’t want ‘em anywhere near San Fran.” Or himself. He had been doing so well avoiding detection, Hiro was not about to let a stranger crawling out of the ocean ruin that for him.
Whatever misgivings he had, however, Hiro seemed to forget them when the stranger stumbled and swayed. He hurried forward again, hands up to try and urge the guy to stay upright. “Take it easy. Dude, look at you, you’re injured and half-drowned. You can call your brother after my nursebot takes a look at you. I’m not even gonna ask if you’re a Conduit, the less I know, the better.”

That caused Rey to pause, he had no idea what kind of career he wanted. Only that whatever he did was his own choice. Money wasn’t a problem yet, the DUP had given him enough to last a few years if he was frugal.
“I dunno man, I’ve only been alive for less than half a year. I hadn’t taken the time to consider anything. If you could have done anything what would you do?” He might as well get some idea’s from his original.

Rey listened and from what Reggie explained it sounded like a decent living. If he hadn’t decided against being exactly like his original, it would have been a good living.
“Sounds nothing like the movies.” He smiled, grateful for it. “I mean the paperwork sounds boring as hell. But the rest, sounds like a good place to be.” Especially for them.
