Blitz ALWAYS intended to talk to Stolas BEFORE he stole the Grimoire

I’ve never seen anyone talk about this scene and with the prequel coming, I figured now is the perfect time.

Earlier in the day, long before the “Not Divorced Party,” you can see Blitz at the window, trying to get Stolas’ attention.

He sees Stolas with the Grimoire and immediately tries to open the window.

If his only intention was to steal it, he would have waited until after Stolas had walked away, leaving the book unattended on the shelf.

He even looks distraught when Stolas doesn’t notice him and leaves the room.

Then later, when Stolas says he could have asked to visit, Blitz makes a joke about scaling the wall but then says under his breath that it was easier than trying to go through Stolas’ staff.

There’s literally no reason for him to have said that unless he’d actually tried.

He may have always planned to steal the Grimoire, but he had also planned on talking to Stolas first.

Which means that he may have originally intended on asking Stolas to use the book, but switched gears when caught breaking in and then faced with a tipsy, silly, sweet Stolas.

Either way, Blitz is someone who hates the idea of being dependent on others, yet he knew this would make his entire business model dependent on Stolas’ cooperation.

I think he was willing to put himself in that position because he already trusted Stolas. And more importantly, he was confident that Stolas would trust him.

God forbid Edward provided a more emotional spin on the character of Striker - that he gave him a deeper voice which actually fit. God forbid he tried adding depth to his performance.

You don't deserve anything. And I won't blame him if he ends up disconnecting from the fandom. You're all disgusting parasites. First you all keep insulting him and the fact he isn't able to sing in higher tones to uplift Amir Talai, now you want him replaced because you decided him not speaking on something that doesn't involve him means he's terrible? You know how hard it is to get a fucking job as a voice actor when big studios and even indie studios like Laika keep hiring celebrities instead of trained VAs? That animal knows he's fucking good and he LOVES to run and win- you can see it on his face. He just does it on his terms. The bitchest, moodiest, most temperamental animals are always the fucking best, in my not so limited experience. Favorite horse I ever rode was a dream and a partner to me for two years who would never consider bucking, biting, or kicking me; but if I gave him an inch he'd try taking a mile, and you COULD NOT put inexperienced riders on him alone. One time we had a boyscouts trope come to our barn to learn about horses and get to 'ride' them- walk and trot and maybe a light canter- around our arena. This horse- Joey, an ex cattle horse and a small, powerful qh- was in the lineup because we knew with supervision he'd be fine. And he was. For an hour. Then we put this kid on him that kept kicking and smacking him, flailing the reins, etc. No matter how much we said knock it off, he wouldn't. So Joey has enough. He half-rears, wheels around, and bolts...right up to me, where he skids to a stop. 'Get this little fucker off me' could not be more clear. He did not buck, he didn't bolt past me and I had to stop him- he ran right up to me and put his head down. This same horse and I would take long rides after work together, just wandering and exploring- my boss owned SEVERAL acres and we were allowed to ride on the public land near by as well, so you could go on little adventures. This horse had never, ever, EVER pulled shit under saddle with me. I could literally do stupid tricks for clients on him. One day, though, in the middle of a trail we'd ridden a hundred times before, he goes stock still. His head comes up, his ears go stiff, his nostrils flare; and before I can say or do jack he does the same thing he did to the kid with me. Wheels around and BOLTS back the way we came. I don't have to bring him to a stop- he stops on his own as soon as we are maybe a dozen feet away from where we started. Looks over his shoulder, snorts, and I feel goose bumps rise on my arms and neck. Very real feeling of being watched, and we rode back home. You can't convince me he didn't save my life that day. He would wander off if dismounted even though he KNEW he wasn't supposed to, steal anything you left within mouth range, and push around every other horse he saw. He was an ugly ass scarred up classic bay, shaggy, old, with a mane that wouldn't grow properly and a thin, stringy tail. He was fat and lazy but he turned into a prime-of-his-life two year old if you knew what you were doing on his back. He took no shit from anyone except he put up with my stupid silly nonsense all the time. He was too smart for his own good and stuck his nose in a wasps' hive. You didn't need a bit to ride him but he instantly knew if he could bully you the second you got on his back and WOULD if he was allowed to get away with it. He was my boy. <3
