ngl the funniest part about "you did run off to europe together" is that technically they did not do that. hannibal ran away after quite literally attempting to cut will out of his life & then proceeded to spend months being miserable & self-destructive, impulsively & irrationally dropping hints that would lead the authorities &/or will to his door & leaving love letters in the shape of corpses for will to find so he could see him again. & will built a boat with his own hands & sailed across the ocean fully intending to never go back abandoning his entire life to chase after the man who gutted him & killed their daughter with nothing to guide him but the echoes of his past & the red string of faith pulling them together. & he did in fact find him. so yeah they did not run off together actually. it was even worse than that

I think 50 shades of grey did so much damage to BDSM writing in fic and like not because I think fic writers were taking inspiration from it, but we did get a lot of detailed explanatory posts about all the different ways in which those guys were Doing It Wrong, which is not in and of itself a bad thing but since then everybody got so hung up on making sure everybody in their fics was nothing like 50 shades of grey and actually demonstrates that yes I do understand the principles of safe sane and consensual and the traffic light system and safewording and aftercare and checking in that now everybody fucks like a 101 handbook and I think we've only just recently started to recover from it. love me a dynamic where it's two repressed freak idiots who accidentally invent BDSM all on their own and have to come up with the strangest most deeply harmful ways of navigating that situation

this i can answer bc its prob not going to happen HAHHAHA but i intended to write older draco/harrys story from dracos pov as the sequel to all in good time. you see the title.... you get it. but yes it was going to be my married dads drarry figuring out theyr gay in their 40s fic.... bc of that little mishap.... everything falls apart! TADA!!!!

finding your drarry fics is like finally finding water after being thirsty for weeks. 80% of drarry fics have harry acting like he's been lobotomized but when I read yours I'm like. there he is!! that's my boy!! you let him be his snarky, obsessive, assertive, rash self who gets a lil mean around draco bc that's what draco brings out of him and it's so refreshing. plus I love fics where harry gets to hang out with his friends and isn't isolated. and your 8th year fic is literally exactly how I pictured draco would be acting and thinking post-war. anyway thank god I can point to at least one fic and be like yep that's the one. that's them.
