notes on a photo. Yesterday, I wasn't feeling well. Headache all day, I tried Excedrin, I tried Advil, I massaged my temples, neck, I tried to just close my eyes. This morning I am feeling slightly better. I got new glasses but the prescription is the same. They do sit a little differently on my nose, I have been back 2 times to have them adjusted... I may switch back to my old glasses and see if my headache goes away. I could very well be this shit show weather too.

From 2016 in Santa Cruz. I do love birds. Our home has been in a funk this week. Monday was the Vet visit to have the boys vaccinated. Tuesday, the boys felt like shit, we babysit our grandson and my wife's sister passed. Wednesday, was dog groomer and a shit ton of phone calls and my wife decided to do yard work in the heat and humidity. I also went to a book signing at our church. I had decided on the way that I would not buy the book. I am not a reader, although a part of me wished I enjoyed it. I did buy the book. The sign was misleading, it read like it was a donation. So I looked up what it sold for and tossed that and and extra five dollars. When I picked up the book, they handed me the credit card reader so I could pay for it. The person said it was even more than what I saw online. I pointed at the sign, and he apologized and I guess it is misleading... I could take the money back out of the donation plate. I bought the book and left the donation. The drive home was a little bit of beating myself up. Thursday, I didn't sleep much last night. My stomach is upset, and my muscles ache. I woke up at some point in the night and took off my cpap... today I will pay for that, I am tired and this coffee is good but not that good. Tomorrow, lets hope for better.

Happy Father's Day!
Things almost never go as planned. Yesterday's plans fell apart very quickly. My wife headed to a horse event. I went to the basement to do a little cleaning on those 2 enlargers and some in the darkroom... well, the trays and such that came with the enlargers. I get 2 trays cleaned, and the phone rang... well, mom did something to her foot or ankle. So, the rest of the morning in Urgent Care... afternoon getting her situated at home... which is impossible because of dementia. Hopefully, she will get into see a specialist sooner than later. The rest of the day was running errands. I bought a 6 pk of a Hazy IPA... sat to relax, but... it just didn't hit the spot.
So today, I will try and enjoy watching it rain (kind of tired of that), hot coffee, church, wife.. hopefully, some sort of photography endeavor.
Have a good day.

4x5 negative before I put it in storage. I might print this one. There is something about it I like... My wife asked what I wanted for father's day... when someone askes me I generally blurt out World Peace... I would be extinctic with U.S. Peace, or integrity... this political atmosphere is starting to keep me up at night. A dam shame that we must continue this course. More rain this weekend... maybe I will just hang out in the darkroom, and play with photography stuff.

Just to post some photos from 6/7/25. The day started with Rain... but do dogs jumping in a pool really care? LOL These dockdiving events are refreshing to be at. The patience the people have and the trust that the dogs have. I feel like I am currently lacking on both accounts.

Sunday is my our grandson's 1st birthday. My daughter said it's a Lord of the Rings Theme... we usually bring a veggie tray, and some sort of salad... I made these labels and a sign for the hobit hole that will be at the end. I have not burned wood in forever, and i have never used a hot glue gun... in fact, I had to buy one for this project. I'm happy with it.
Oh, the frustration with my tremors. Hot glue gun in one hand and use the other to steady it... and glue strings all over the table.... lol

I got all excited when I saw a friend of mine post a picture of his Nikon F3 with vertical grip. I snapped this photo to send to him and ask how it was going with his camera... and what are you pointing it at, will you share for film pictures? and so on.... His replay... was Oh, it's the photo I am using to sell it on ebay. I do everything with my iPhone now Well, shit man! :( I was up a lot last night, I was warm, couldn't shut my mind off and some physical pains in my leg and back.

My boy Chase 6/1/25 Developed 6/3/25 Looks like the Nikon works fine. I shot a bout 24 frames of 36 from a roll of film I rolled the other day. Arista Ultra 200. I did a stand development which takes longer but I am starting to really like the consistency of the negatives, the plus is that I can develop large format negatives that are different films and ISO's together. When I have time I may throw some of these on the enlarger and see how they really look.

Failing... Yesterday was shit. My mind and mood on edge. The cellphone picture above really has nothing to do with my mood. I rescued 2 Beseler 23 C enlargers years ago from the Boys & Girls club in West Virginia, I donated them to the gallery in Shippensburg... I asked and they seemed to be excited to have them, but the person that accepted them quit and they sat in a backroom storage closet for probably 4 years. They are back with me and I am not sure what to do... I struggle tossing them into recycling or a landfill. If one was a large format I would keep it over the Omega that I use. The Beselers' are easier to adjust... People say you can change your mood by changing how you think, I would say my mood dictates me... I have always worn my feelings and emotions on my sleeve. Not on purpose, just how I am wired I guess. It's good that I don't drink or do drugs... my vices are Television and Photography... used to by bicycling but physically that's off the table. probably shared to much... There is always tomorrow.
