Can we get a cheer for caretakers who have no idea what they're doing. Who fuck it up. Who end up creating faultlines for whumper to use following the recapture, or even better yet, a ~different~ whumper to use. Who had nothing but the best intentions but can't see whumpee without seeing their own failures and guilt, which whumpee can't help interpreting as them ~being~ a failure, being the one to blame for all of caretaker's suffering.
