Lonely.
Nah just kidding. Definitely adamant.
the NERVE-
Adamant, yes. Lonely, ABSOLUTELY not!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a quest to finish.

OOC: I was enabled slightly too much, so, ask game!
Send in an ask about what nature you think the one reblogging this is. That's it that's the ask game I thought it might be cool.

I don't need a voice of reason, thank you very much!
...To sum the current... situation up...
Clair seemed rather annoyed about being defeated, but I assumed that was simply an act. Perhaps incorrectly.
After said defeat, she said that I would have to wait and went to (I assumed) retrieve a badge.
Half an hour passed. I decided to take a quick trip to the Pokémon Center, as most of my team is not in anything approaching a state fit for battles at the moment.
When I returned, the individual at the front of the gym seemed surprised to see me return, and informed me that I could only challenge a gym once per day so as to avoid overwhelming the leader. I was aware of this rule.
He was not aware that I had defeated Clair. She had, apparently, closed the gym early and gone home.
Gym staff cannot access badges; only the leader (or a preemptively designated substitute) can.
It may be longer than I thought before I attain that badge...

...oh
Yes. Quite.

he also fired me because I DARED to question his parenting so. no, I’m not bitter at ALLLLL.
Urbosa, have Link and Zelda been sleeping properly? I sadly trust neither of hem to be honest about this.
Mm, I understand.
Link, fortunately, is quite the avid napper. He can fall asleep just about anywhere if he's determined enough. I believe he has nightmares, however, and that may lead him to try to stake out several nights in a row.
I don't know how Zelda manages to keep the fact that she wakes up in the middle of the night so often secret, and I only know this from Link (though I could already guess, unfortunately). She's had a lot of terrible nightmares lately that have been, if I am understanding correctly, mailed to her by a Pelipper.
I worry for the two of them. For me, they were children not so long ago, and I am deeply concerned as to what occurred in that six-year gap. Even so, after all that's happened to them that I already know of... they did not deserve all those burdens.

I feel like we could, hypothetically, count my rival in as well. But yes, neither your Zelda nor the one I know needs to know about this.

Hello Purah, if you're still there! Honestly I can't believe I'm talking to you... i mean, you're a scientist who knows about alternate universes!
I know it wasn't directed at me, but thank you for the comprehensive explanation of the multiverse. A lot of times science and math stuff go right over my head, but what you said helped me get it at least a little more. And this is the first time I've seen it really explained on this distsite instead of just kinda mentioned.
Though I do wonder... doesn't it overwhelm you? The idea of so many different worlds, where things could have gone in who knows what nonsense ways! Or where things you didn't think existed actually could exist. It overwhelms me and uh... just wondering if you have ways to deal with that, as someone who's studying it.
hello! I'm always here :) whether Revali likes it or not
UM.
(I mean I don't read everything he posts but I did slide in a line of code so that it notifies me if my name is mentioned. and it was! so. helloooo)
and hey, glad to have helped! science is great on its own but it's important to be able to make it understandable to people who aren't as involved in it, y'know?
also, uh. no, doesn't overwhelm me, but also a lot of things that probably should overwhelm me very much don't! so. yeah. there's that.
I'd say... look, there are countless different universes out there, but most people are only going to ever be in one. it's yours, and it's the one that'll matter most to you, however interesting others worlds where different things happened are.
(also I get cool experiment ideas from hearing about other mes. apparently this other Purah turned herself into a kid? which. not sure why she'd do that specifically but it's got me thinking about some sort of age reduction ray...)
Purah.
yes~?
Purah, no.

(alternate you is one of the strongest trainers in our Hyrule, actually! specializes in electric-types—which, yeah, lightning powers—and generally kicks so much... well, you know. which honestly I would expect from any version of you.)
yep, that's accurate! there are eighteen types in total—I really like the steel-type of pokemon myself, here's one of my own! his name is Sparky and he's a Togedemaru, electric-type like Naboris and steel-type as well~
[A picture is attached of a Togemaru, blepping at the camera. There are at least two others visible in the background of what is a lab filled with a truly staggering amount of clutter, as well as what might be a Klink, a Klefki, and an Empoleon.]
I study them, but I do dabble in battling, and it's pretty popular over here too. there very much are safety measures!!! you don't push your pokemon hard enough that they'll get hurt.
hello HELLO! good to see you over there, urbosa!
name's purah, you're probably familiar with it, but you're probably not actually familiar with me. or the revali you've spoken with. (who is currently sulking on the other side of my lab.)
and... alright how do I explain this to someone from a non-pokemon hyrule...
okay so. every choice you make, you could choose something else, right? and while the world you're in is the one where you chose that thing, there's the possibility of you having chosen that other thing, and so another world exists where you did choose that other thing, capice? capice.
but of course, everyone makes TONS of choices every day. so there are a lot of different worlds out there.
revali and I are from a pretty different hyrule from yours—pokemon have always existed for us—but we still know a you. and I'm betting you know a me, too.
anyway, the way you're talking to people? it's called rotomblr. it connects to the multiverse, allowing people to talk to others from drastically different worlds! I'm studying it.
...which is to say that revali is the only one in our world with this connection and so I steal his account for science sometimes. you understand. probably. maybe.
also I hope that explanation made sense! if it doesn't, let me know what part confuses you, and I'll explain better. still good to see you!
—Purah (@eliteoftheskies)
The Sheikah scientist? Yes, I do know you.
read the whole thing before you jump to conclusions.
What do you—
Ah. I… see. Not really. I… think I understand it? Kind of? Essentially there are just a lot of worlds very much like one or the other, but sometimes with vastly different circumstances.
Could have done without the decision-making analogy, I think. That confused me a little too much.
yeah that’s basically it i think. Purah explains this stuff pretty well.

note... to... self... leave out... decision-making analogy... next time!
because let's be honest there will be a next time
Anyway hi hello yes so I'm a Purah but not the one you know. Which is to say that I also know an Urbosa—the fact that you ended up with a Blitzle is genuinely hilarious for reasons that I think might blow your mind a little for reasons we can get into later.
Welcome to the world of pokemon! ...well, kinda. you said you'd been here for like a week? how much do you know about pokemon already?
hello HELLO! good to see you over there, urbosa!

my name is NOT rotomblr thank you VERY much!!!
Rotomblr is... how we're communicating? She was using it to refer to the collective of individuals in contact through it. Presumably.
now I'm making this purah's problem because for the love of hylia I do NOT have a technical explanation in me today
[A video is embedded. Link and Zelda are walking along the streets of Veilstone, likely to clear their minds. Epona trots alongside them, and Celebi snuggles into Zelda's hood.]
"Look! Now I have video evidence that I am doing just fine."
[Link, Celebi, and Epona all give her a very unimpressed and completely unconvinced look.]
"Well, that aside, I thought it would be fun if we took a video of ourselves properly exploring the city. And me hopefully gaining at least a little more information out of Satori, afterwards."
[As they turn a corner, they notice a zebra-like Pokémon, except mostly black-furred with white stripes, wandering around at the end of the street.]
"Oh, Goddess, that's an adorable Pokémon! That one over there!"
[Rotom snickers, typing on the screen:
"She says that about every Pokémon, bzrt. Blitzle are native to Unova, though...?"]
[Zelda freezes abruptly. Rotom beeps in confusion, and redirects the camera to a tall, red-haired woman, clad in colorful, light clothing accentuated with gold, following the Blitzle. Certainly, the woman's rather bare outfit looks quite out of place, considering how cold Sinnoh is, but that doesn't really explain why Zelda just stopped short.]
[Link is frozen in place as well.]
[Zelda's mouth moves, seemingly to form a word, but all that comes out is a choked breath.]
[And then she breaks into a full sprint, shouting one word, one name.]
"URBOSA!"
[The woman turns with a startled look.] "Zelda...?"
[Zelda stops in front of the woman, panting, staring up desperately into the woman's eyes. Eyes that are the same emerald green as hers.]
"Zelda, are you--"
"Is it really you?" [Zelda gasps.] "Am I dreaming? Are you-- Do you know--"
"Little bird." [Zelda's breath hitches, and the woman places a hand on her shoulder.] "It is me. You are not dreaming. Are you alright?"
[Link has been standing by Zelda with wide eyes, and the poor Blitzle is looking on with deep confusion.]
"You... you're..." [Celebi chirps, nuzzling against Zelda, and Epona whines.] "You're real."
[She would probably swear that she throws her arms around Urbosa just to test her "theory." That is what Zelda would call it. Just a scientific theory.]
"Oh, little bird..."
[Link doesn't even look dumbfounded anymore, but his melancholy could be mistaken for blankness.]
[Zelda does pull away eventually, sniffling and rubbing at her eyes.]
"I don't know, Rotom, post the video if you want. Urbosa, I promise I can explain, and also the... haircut..."
"Personally, I think that you pull off short hair quite fabulously." [Urbosa chuckles, and Zelda smiles weakly.] "As with you, Link. Long hair suits you."
[Link looks very pleased with himself.]
"I missed you. So much."
[Rotom decides to end the video here with a concerned buzz.
"Yikes! Wonder what happened with them..."]
