Just because it suddenly occurred to me Midge Maisel would be a fantastic companion. Though the actual main character of the last thing I did is Sam Vimes, which..... Hot take but i'll place in the Alright category. It'd be cool, but he has too much counter-narrative power of his own for it to Really Work in the proper companion format, y'know. Cool but something else.

My life is falling apart (comedic, positive)

I have recently realized some ocs i had for almost a decade are queerer than i thought (genderfluid gay man and gnc trans man) and im now confronted with the fact that ...i cant just throw random tragedies at them? like... it feels worse than before ....like its so much more personal now

And i wanna let them have so much more queer joy even if thier stories are smaller or are kinda the background for other (also various queer) characters god knows if i'll actually ever share the story tho lol

Also realizing that im in a mental place to like.... allow my characters to have ok relationships with their parents? like especially if theyre not plot relevant?

I used to be in a place where the idea of good parental relationships felt so fake and made up that my characters had to earn having their parents be present in any capacity let alone NICE. like i didnt know what to do with some characters parents so i just killed them off and now im like "oh shit wait they can just be nice and kinda boring and it doesnt stop my guy from being an absolute mess in his romantic life or whatever"

A couple of years ago i moved from a more conservative area to a more progressive area and it drives me insane that queer people here, esp young queers, dont seem to comprehend that theres ANYTHING to consider about this

Like before moving when i went to queer centers/meetups/etc in introductions we were asked our names, pronouns and DISCRETION LEVELS (as in "if i see you in outside this context, should i come say hi and could i mention where we met?")

Now where i live NOT A SINGLE PERSON had EVER asked me something like that and i am endlessly grateful that i went no contact with my toxic family so i dont have to worry about it

But like.... If i didnt id be in active danger and have to be a dick every time i met someone by insisting on it + worry about them fucking up anyway because they simply dont have this muscle trained

Its an incredibly good sign that these kids nwver HAD to worry about this, and thankfully i dont need to either for now, butman i think about it a lottttt

Sometimes i feel like younger queer kids are getting a bit to bold with openly talking to people they don’t know In The Context Of:

More than once i have had a younger/same age queer person come up to me in public settings and say something about “finding other gays” or clearly clocking me as nonbinary and I’m like :)))))))) hey buddy I’m here with my conservative parents can you fucking not out me :))))))))

Just say you like my outfit or hair and move on, fuck even tell me you like my shoelaces. Don’t call me gay and limp your wrist at me when you don’t even know me? Especially when there’s a bunch of ppl around?

sometimes I feel bad getting offended or upset at other autistic people because they might say something insensitive to me but like, it's weird because I'm also the insensitive weird autistic person who hurts other people's feelings as well.

and honestly I should work on myself to treat others better because being treated like shit for needing support and being off-putting is upsetting.

the autistic community has a big problem with extreme ableism towards people who are support needs(especially extreme support needs) I hate that I kinda feed into this thinking too but I have to remember I got lolcow'd for being the "weird" autistic and not the cute palatable one that everyone tolerates.
