hi mr. neil, hope you're doing well.
i don't know if you're aware of the news about Brianna Ghey, but if you are, I know a lot of us could use some words of wisdom. or just any words, really. if i had the right words i'd write them, but all i feel right now is devastated.
sorry to bother you
I'm devastated too.
There's a trans Day of Remembrance for a reason. I hope Brianna Ghey is remembered long after her killers and the people who inspired them or egged them on are long forgotten.
I wrote this page of Sandman 32 years ago:
I hoped when I wrote it that three decades later we would have moved on. That deadnaming would be a sad historical fact. Instead I'm seeing the UK and the Murdoch Media targeting trans people and generally stoking real hatred, helped by sad or evil or just misguided people with their own prejudices or axes to grind.

the women of my life
The woman of my life
Tenth doctor x fem!gallifreyan reader
Hi! This is my first time writing in English so im sorry for any gramatical error or something! I made this based off a video from a singer of my country and a song from him, I hope you guys like it because im thinking of doing a pt 2 if you guys like it!
Word count:439
Summary:you and doc are in love since your eyes first meet but during the last great time war something separated you two but after some time something makes you two meet again(im so sorry if this is bad, again, its my first time writing for him and in English)
“You are the woman of my life but im not always going to be with the woman of my life, you know?”
These were the last things you heard of the love of your love, of course you knew why he was doing this, he was trying to save you, but at what cost?
“The love doesn’t carry itself alone”
You always repeat those words in your mind trying to forget him but then you remember those eyes, the eyes that made you fell in love with him when you guys were still young, two young time lords that didn’t know what would happen in the future, why this thing hurts? You always try to forget him remembering that he is probably dead at this point, you were stuck in this world without him, without his stupid sense of humor that always made you laugh at the worst moments, you missed traveling to random locals with him, trying new things with him, you missed being with him
You were at a library trying to find something new to read, you were always fascinated how humans could be so good at writing, doing millions of books with stories that takes you out of your reality, that makes you feel like you were in a different universe or world, books were the only things that made you feel like the doctor used to, while trying to find a new book to read a bell ring
“Hello there!”
The tall man enters the library with a girl, the man aproached you
“Do you work here? Im looking for a specific book” the man asks taking you out of your own little world, that man seems pretty shocked when you turn to look at him
You hated the feeling of regenerating so you always tried to not always do this, of course you had the chance to regenerate at any time but since the last great time war you didn’t needed to do it,
The girl that entered with the man approaches him
“Doctor, are you okay?” Doctor? it couldn’t be him, he died with Gallifrey, he’s dead, while you were thinking of it the man that now could be the love of your love that were separated from you from years ago breaked the silence
“How are you alive? I thought you died in gallifrey”
Of course he was different but still the man that you fell in love when you were young, he was still your doctor, the one who took you to every galaxy, every star, every world, the man that you always were thinking, the man of your life
Yes, I know its pretty bad but again, English its not my first language and I haven’t written for years now! somethings may not make sense because I did this while I was sleepy, I hope some of you guys like it(if anyone sees this lol)

Mr. Gaiman, a few days ago I watched a movie called ‘The Omen’, from 1977. And I couldn’t stop noticing that it has some similarities to Good Omens — Do you confirm? Or is it just a coincidence?
It's not in your head. Good Omens is parodying The Omen and films like that, which at the time we wrote it, were culturally everywhere. It never occurred to us that one day we would have to explain that.
Fortunately there are lots of places that explain it for us. For example:
All of which brings us to the novel of Good Omens, which first appeared in 1990. Let me stress that date. The book appeared at a time when the Omen films were still fresh in popular memory, so that readers would exactly know the genre Gaiman and Pratchett were satirizing. The book only makes sense as a direct parody of The Omen and its dreadful offspring. The Omen imagines an Antichrist devil-child being born to a powerful US political figure, so he can grow up to be President and initiate the End Times. Good Omens posits an accidental baby swap in which the infant Antichrist ends up in a regular British family and grows up, well, quite nice.
That is what they are satirizing – not the Bible, not Revelation, not Judeo-Christian civilization, but a schlock genre of devil films. It is mocking a dumb genre in popular religious fiction, and what a necessary thing to do. From The Omen, Good Omens, and Why Neil Gaiman is Not the Antichrist https://www.patheos.com/blogs/anxiousbench/2019/06/the-omen-good-omens-and-why-neil-gaiman-is-not-the-antichrist-sorry/
