WIP Whenever!

It's not Wednesday, but I have a tag from @elynnism that came in after I posted my little game dev thing, so eff it, we'll use it as an excuse to post something else this fine Friday.

DABB is heating up now that we have been assigned artists, and that's likely going to consume most of my writing time, but sometimes you need a break from one project just to refresh.

So, of course... I'm back on my Bellassan bullshit. Part of Prof!AU greater canon here, after Chapter 26, but before the epilogue.

Felassan dropped his face into his hands for what felt like the hundredth time today. Why was this so difficult? How was it that, after a year of everything that could happen, he could still get such dense shemlen questions on a daily basis, most of which were covered in the first week of classes? What do you mean Halamshiral wasn’t the capital of Ancient Elvhenan? If the Dalish have aravels, why do they need alienages? How did the ancient elves use the bathroom while they were in uthenera? He swore by Fen’Harel’s hairy balls (which he could, in fact, personally attest to) that teaching this class would be the death of him.

Tagged by two incredibles! @alice-dead and @liberaquantobasta-catossa so honored. your writing is beautiful from both of you. and like alice mentioned, can't post DABB stuff so here's a little bit from Forms, Feelings, and Other Fatal Errors, my modern solavellan AU that i have no idea what im doing with:

INCIDENT SUMMARY: A spirit of curiosity possessed a goat and became stuck. Spiritual behavior was akin to children. A secondary spirit of joy followed, possibly had tricked the spirit of curiosity. Metaphysical assessment was used and Agent Lavellan extracted the spirit, leaving the goat unharmed. Goat returned to owner with mild attitude. A follow-up emotional support assessment was recommended for the barn cats. ARID RESPONSE / ACTION TAKEN: Woman by the name of Denisa Caligri called the station to report a possession. Agent Fen and Agent Lavellan arrived on scene. Ms. Caligri, in hysterics, recalled how her beloved goat suddenly became aggressive and began to headbutt everything—from his enclosure to her car to the barn cats. Ms. Caligri fainted and lost track of the goat. The goat—hereafter referred to as Subject Jeremy—was observed exhibiting behavior consistent with low-tier metaphysical disruption and moderate barnyard chaos despite the neighbor's insistence that it was normal behavior. Agent Lavellan questioned the need for intervention. Agent Fen cited AR 16-1901, Paranormal Fauna Act, Chapter 12, paragraph 12.7.1.2. Table 1.2a, which does apply to goats. Agent Lavellan tolerated the orders. Subject Jeremy was found repeatedly charging a cliff face, pausing only to bleat directly into the wind and, at one point, urinate confusedly. Agent Fen attempted to contain Subject Jeremy. Subject Jeremy was eventually captured by Agent Lavellan. A metaphysical assessment was completed despite Subject Jeremy's bleating and it was determined a spirit had possessed the creature. Agent Lavellan utilized a boot strap and salt to make a summoning circle to contain Subject Jeremy. Agent Lavellan conducted the post-extraction interviews which suggests the Spirit of Curiosity was inquisitive to what it was like to be a goat and the Spirit of Joy encouraged the behavior. Both spirits have been formally reprimanded via the ADF 66-R Official Reprimand of Metaphysical Entities. Ms. Caligri was provided with AFOM 18-B: Livestock Possession Disclosure and Incident Report and accompanying documentation. Subject Jeremy was returned to her unharmed. Upon realizing the form was 14 pages long, she stated, "I kind of wish you'd left him possessed." Follow-up required by Officer Sera Jenni in the next 10 business days to ensure compliance. AGENT NOTES:

how non-writers think writing works: creating a detailed outline and plan, writing each section carefully and weaving in all the different story threads like a master creator, expertly creating a masterpiece with care and precision

how writing actually works: daydreaming that one scene, creating a half-formed plot in a daze all around it, swearing at characters that don't magic themselves into existence, becoming absolutely obsessed with the story for a solid week, it becomes your entire life, you sit down open a blank word document and write approximately two and a half chapters, lose interest, daydream an entirely new idea for a new story, rinse and repeat

Emergency Commissions + Life Update 🌿

Long post below, sorry augh. Explaining my current situation, sadly…

Hi!! So sorry for not posting so much lately— Job search has been mentally taxing lol. So many interviews, so many “we’ll get back to you!”, lots of ghosting, etc. I feel like a call center making daily calls to minimum wage places I’ve applied to 😭😭😭 Anyhow… Good news is I finally got hired!! YAYYY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Bad news is… Orientarion starts on the 18th, so I still won’t have any income whatsoever until then ☹️

AND just my luck, everything has been kinda falling apart lol. Car having engine issues, airpods won’t work properly, one of my trusty cargo pants broke (twas my favourite pair augh).

So, with my queue finally a bit more clear, I’m opening up emergency commissions to get necessities until I start getting paid ;w;

Just a small disclaimer… As I said before I haven’t been doing too well mentally so JUST to be safe I’m gonna say turnaround time would be around a month.

However I’m trying to test out Twitch to see if I can publicly stream my art and engage more with the community again 💚💚💚 So we’ll see!!
