Every time I am reminded of Naruto's chapter 699, I get flabbergasted.

This is how I know most people haven't read the manga, when I read comments saying "Sasuke didn't care about Naruto" excuse me?

All of Sasuke's character was defined for the incredible care and love he had for his family and clan, he mentions here how he can admit Naruto is part of his closest circle. How he came to feel his father, mother and Itachi's emotions and pain, and wants to know Naruto at that extent too.

For Sasuke, Naruto is family, his one and only at this point. 😞

You bringing up the fact that Naruto always reacts when Sasuke is mentionned reminds me of the thing that really puzzled me with the ending: after all of this, after all Naruto's drama about Sasuke, he seems super fine to see Sasuke leave the village for secret missions, penance or something. Idk, it felt that at the last minute, their whole dynamic changed because you can have the hero running after someone when he has litteraly everything else now.

I think it was different at that point, because Naruto succeeded on bringing Sasuke back, not bringing him back physically to the village, but back to being himself, without being influenced by darkness.

So Naruto was okay with him leaving again, because now Sasuke wasn't going because of vengeance.

There's this panel after their last fight in which Sasuke implies he'll be better dead, but Naruto screams at him, telling him he needs Sasuke to build a better ninja world.

You're right about their dynamic changing, and Naruto seems to have everything now, but that also includes Sasuke's loyalty and help as his shadow hokage. They are always close now, even when they are physically apart.

I love my boy Naruto, but I also understand Sasuke's frustration every time he had to ask why Naruto was doing all of that for him?

Naruto said all this insane stuff in VOTE 1, trained like crazy for 3 years to be strong enough to bring Sasuke back, defied everything and everyone for Sasuke's sake... Just for him to say to Sasuke he did all that because they are friends?!

I would also go into a journey of atonement after that. And during that journey, Naruto marries?!?! You'll never see me again, Sasuke's better than me in that aspect.
