Screaming Independence Will have Ya Ass LONELY

"I'm independent" "I dont need a man for nothing" "I got my own" "I'm a kept b@&!h" "Give me loyalty, I can finance myself"

Ladies, this is ALL repellant to a man and it's EXACTLY why ya ass is lonely!! Honestly, I dont believe in that "I dont need a man...I got my own" crap.  

Should you have a level of independence? ABSOLUTELY!! 

Is it ok to SOLEY depend on a man? It depends on your preference and the understanding that you and your partner has(that's your business)

HOWEVER, EVERYONE needs someone. NOBODY can make it on their own! I personally believe you should let a MAN play his role. Men were created to be the providers. There's NOTHING wrong with that.

The stupidity comes in when you're not utilizing your resources to the best of your ability!! Get your priorities in line. If he's going to be around.....make him useful in an everlasting way; chase your dreams!! Don't just have him around to pay your bills and buy you red bottoms. You DEFINITELY got the game ALL the way F'd up on that 1. 

While you're worried about red bottoms and whose bottom he's chasing? You need to be worried about having him invest into your long term goals and chasing your own dreams. Then guess who he's gonna be chasing then? If he REALLY loves you, make him SHOW you. So you KNOW it's real. Take longevity to another level. 

Girl trust me, once he invest into you that way......he won't even be INTERESTED in the next woman or even have time to focus on anything else but you. Why? Because he's given you something that most broads are way too small minded to even demand. 

 Make that nucca invest in YOU...ALL OF YOU!! And STOP trying to PROVE this independence of yours. If he's worth it, submit, get ya mind right, get ya money up!! Get you a boss and have him teach you how to fish!!

P.S. I really put myself out there and I hope you ladies understand. I'm not saying find a man and depend on him. I'm saying, if you have a man...make him useful. If you want a man, STOP screaming independence...that's how you will get a man. Once you get him, still...make him useful!!

Be Yourself, Be Heroic like Charles Ramsey

Hearing the story of Charles Ramsey saving Amanda Berry and the rest of the girls that's been missing for 10 years was truly REMARKABLE and touched my soul. 

I LOVE Charles Ramsey for so many different reasons. 1 being, he's true to himself and real all the way around. He didn't change his persona because he was on tv or now receiving the spotlight. In fact, being himself is what most ppl embrace and it actually worked out in his favor. I could be wrong but prior to this I'm sure his persona has been judged and ridiculed. 

The message that I received and hopefully you can receive as well is......all you have to do is BE YOURSELF!!! No matter what!!! Just BE YOU!!! ANYONE can be a hero!! Being heroic doesn't have a face!! 

God bless Charles Ramsey and I pray he's blessed beyond anything that he could've EVER imagined!!!

How to Kill Your Credibility and Get Served Humble Pie

Recently, we've been soooo DISGUSTED with people's lack of professionalism. We have a NO TOLERANCE policy on EmbraceLifeMedia and decided to add a new addition called "Humble Pie"

Sometimes people can get so ahead of themselves or just do things that's flat out inappropriate and they just need a little reality check and be brought back down from that invisible high horse. Sometimes you just gotta serve people some Humble Pie!!! 

The fastest way to destroy your credibility and hurt your brand is to NOT be a man of your word. There's way too many ppl in the wolrd who are already professional blow smoke up the assers right? So why not be the complete opposite? If you want people to trust you, buy from you, network with you, connect with you.....FOLLOW THROUGH and stay TRUE to your word. Word of mouth is the FASEST and BEST promotion. You never know who can connect you or open that door for you. Don't destroy your credibility. Don't be foolish!!

You Will Never Get Your Breakthrough until You BREAK through

Often times we're faced with certain challenges or obstacles and we feel like "We NEED a break"

As I'm growing and learning things about life, I've come to the realization that there's really no such thing as a "break." God gives us challenges to stretch us, to draw us closer to Him, and to strengthen our faith. I think the problem arises when we just "sit" and never face the challenge or never actually do what we often times KNOW we need to do. Instead we just lay in the misery or do nothing to change it. You will never get your breakthrough until you BREAK through whatever it is that you're facing.

As long as you have breath, you will always have to fight. Don't lose the fight in you. Attack what needs to be done. Stop thinking and just DO IT!! Stop comparing your life to others...trust and know that whatever it is that you feel that you need a break from is exactly what you're suppose to go through!! FIGHT!!!

Love w/o Borders.....as an Inmate Wife

I finally decided to share a little bit of my personal life. I think your personal life should always be kept a little....well ya know...personal! :) People can take it waaaay too far on these sites...(but that's another blog lol)

I've learned long ago that you CANNOT help who you love..so you might as well embrace it.

I've been in a relationship with someone who's been incarcerated for 9 years now and I LOVE me some him. Anyone who knows me can tell you. We've been together since we were like 12/13 years old and the bond has NEVER been broken. Love without borders. Not a bar, a mile, a collect call...nothing can keep us separated. I drive 6 hours 1 way damn near every weekend. We MAKE it work. Prison is meant to take you away from the outside world. If you really love that person, don't let "them" win.  If you KNOW your man would do anything for you and would take a bullet for you? RIDE OUT!!! He's a special kind of guy. TRUST me!!

No I wasn't "perfect" BUT......we made it through. Of course there has been hell of hard days. Days where you want to throw in the towel. Long lonely nights when you cry yourself to sleep. (Like ANY other relationship) And there's been BEAUTIFUL days(more than not)

I say all that to say, embrace who you love. As an inmate wife(i guess you could call it that), you will lose friends and people will judge you. STOP being embarrassed or ashamed to love an inmate. They are people and not all ppl incarcerated are bad ppl. I ask that you stand TALL and be courageous enough NOT to be ashamed and I promise you, you WILL inspire someone to do the same. There's so many ppl in the same shoes but never express it because of the stigma attached. There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with being in love. 

I really wanted to let the ladies who's going through this know that I FEEL your pain. I know EXACTLY what you're going through. I've been through every struggle and obstacle possible in this particular journey. I was 5 months pregnant when he went away. Our son is 8 years old. He never even touched his son until he was 6 years old. It takes a special type of WOMAN to endure and ride out. Know that you are built differently and you have a very unique strength that a lot of ppl could never even identify. Your time is coming.

I'm thankful that God has allowed us to have a second chance at life and I'm looking forward to forever with him.

I often find myself complaining about the struggles of being a strong woman. In a world so hectic. In a world so constant. In a world that would absolutely CRASH w/o women......I came to appreciate #1 being raised by a strong woman, #2 Knowing that I have exactly what it takes to survive in this world as a woman. 

We wear so many hats yet we still have to find balance and treat ourselves with the best care(if we dont who else will)  However, it can be hard. We all know that we're the backbone to so many things. There would be no Barack w/o Michelle, no Dr. King w/o Coretta, no him w/o YOU!!! We're the big sister, the mother, the cook, the maid, the diva, the wife/spouse, and we still find a way to focus on our future.

This goes out to ALL the ladies who sometimes find it hard to maintain. Keep going...you can do it because you ARE doing it!!! Take it day by day!!!

No life isn't easy!! Things happen...there's always obstacles, beliefs, fears, doubts that will forever be challenged!!! Sometimes well really....a LOT of times, I find myself complaining and being ungrateful!!! Then I come across ppl whom on the outside may seem to be a little more challenged and wonder "WHAT THE HELL AM I COMPLAINING FOR"

Taking Moments in in Private, Who Cares About the Public

It's been a while.....:)

Lately, there's been a constant struggle as to embracing the moment and sharing my life on social media. At times I wish this social media thing would just go away...BUT it seems as if it's here to stay. #bittersweet This has been the greatest challenge for me lately b/c my success is related to interacting on this damn net daily. Sometimes I just want to live a normal life and not deal with this new way of life. But you have to evolve or die!! Guess I'll continue to go back and forth with this thing lol. 

I've just been taking in my own personal journey and embracing my own moments. Decided to go to a comedy show the other night and I tell ya...NO ONE was paying attention to the show so consumed by their phones. Consumed with "likes" "comments" "RP" "RT" whatever. (Ok, maybe I sound like I'm hating) All im saying is we need to be more aware of actually taking moments in and know when to put the phones down.

Other than that, I want to salute those who are holding it down for their men incarcerated. It's been 9 long years for myself and I KNOW first hand the struggles. The lonely nights, the judgements, the confusion, the happy moments.......keep doing what makes you happy. You will have your moment when you guys will be reunited!!!
