I was feeling down, so I drew something that made me happy.

It's inspired* by @red-eyed-rous fic The Shrike pt 5: Lost Souls. If you're a Kuwameshi fan and haven't checked out their series "The Shrike and his Glorious Thorn," you really must!

*aka I tried to draw the scene and wasn't doing it justice, so I changed it.

The funny thing, before this challenge, I 100% thought I drew Yusuke more on model. Nope, I de-cutsify the poor boy...probably to what he wishes he looks like HAHAHA.

I already knew my HC Kuwabara is pretty on model. His proportions are just a little more natural than Yusuke's very anime face.

I referenced Togashi's style to be on model, except for Kuwabara's hair. I feel like fans remember the anime version of his hair better than the manga. My HC drawing is based on how Togashi inks his hair, which I find just so beautiful.

Like, Togashi inking and penship is just, god, I feel embarrassed I even tried to copy him. Mine doesn't even compare. Even so, this might be one of the best digital inking I've done of Yusuke's hair.

Day 3 -Copy

I took the prompt very literally.

Mob is so done with this shit, happens every damn afternoon.

I mostly did the Wedding prompt, but with a little Whump and enough liberty to also be a Free Day.

I couldn't complete the comic, but I want to share the WIP during Terumob week. 100% promise this comic will be completed.

This comic was made for @ygodmyy20, as some will know, this is a special week for them.

A master post of all the expression sheets of the Yu Yu Hakusho boys. I revised Yusuke and added a couple more expressions.

Below are just notes.

My goal was to be able to draw the character based on memory without any reference by the end.

Some of the expressions are based on a specific still frame or manga panel, but I always tried to fit a couple that are my own.

My other goal was to draw the expressions happy, sad, angry, bashful, and serious for each character. Hiei was the hardest because he is an anemic toad when it comes to having an emotional range. I also had to push Kurama to be more than just stoic.

Kuwabara will always be my favorite, but I like drawing Yusuke the most. His face is like Play-Doh. You can move and stretch it a lot, and it still looks great!

And finally, Kurama with his beautiful hair, that I had too much fun with all the details.

I had to back burner this expression sheet for a while due to other deadlines, travel and getting sick. I also had to reink it several times. I started not really liking to draw Kurama and ended finding a style I really like.

Day 3 - Past

I couldn't participate the week of Serizawa Week and only had time for one prompt.

Yeah... sorry for such a long wait. I was on vacation and then got sick. I cleaned up the sketches, but had to trash them all because I drew them while jet-lagged. So, hopefully, this time around they'll turn out well.

Yup, I will upload a Kurama expression sheet, hopefully soon. But here's a sneak peek of one. (aka, the only cleanup sketch hahah)

I've got some other projects on my plate at the moment, so unfortunately, the expression sheet had to be put on the back burner. All of the expressions have been roughed out, but now need to be cleaned up.

There will be several more Yu Yu Hakusho artwork coming out soon this week!
