I found an interview with Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Goransson talking about the music of Sinners, and there's a very touching part about how the mid-credits scene came to be. So, spoilers below:

The final scene in the film, technically a post-credits scene, was actually the first one shot chronologically. Coogler wanted to show a more recent link to the story’s century-old events, and he really wanted his uncle’s favorite blues musician, Buddy Guy, to be involved. But he quickly learned that Guy, now in his late 80s, hadn’t been to a theater since the “fish movie,” a.k.a. “Jaws,” and he despaired of his chances. Still, he arranged to go see Guy play in Chicago. “I get to the show,” says Coogler, “and his whole family is in the backstage room — his grandkids. And they’re like, ‘Oh, cool, we’re going to bring you to see our grandpa.’ And me and Zinzi go in there and sit down, and he’s like, ‘Yo, man.’” “I’m not a movie guy,” the bluesman said, in Coogler’s retelling of this momentous meeting, “but my kids love your movies and they tell me that I gotta meet with you. So I’m here — whatever you need. You want me to sing? I’ll sing. You want me to act? I’m on for the work. But I got you.” “I pitched him what the movie was,” Coogler continues, “and he told me his life story about being a sharecropper as a kid and going up to Chicago and trying to learn how to play. I broke down crying, because everything I had just written in the script, this dude lived.” “Outside of the supernatural stuff,” Coogler clarifies.

Thinking about swapping where ninja landed after the merge (idea from @destinysbounty)

First things first I want Pixal in the administration. I was obsessed with that fan theory and I think she would take over and/or dismantle the whole organization

Next I want Lloyd in the land of monsters. Come on guys, that would get in his head so much and we could explore more oni!lloyd

I really like the original idea of Jay and Cole switching places, but for the sake of originality, I suggest Nya in the land of lost things. We could get some lovely angst about her still getting reacquainted with her powers and her body after coming back from being the ocean, and with the finders we could have her spit in the face of the maternal allegations. She enables Fritz and Spitz like no other, but if you mess with any of her new siblings you’re dead. Idk, just the ninja who forgot herself ending up where the forgotten reappear?? I think it has potential (Zane too, tho)

Next up is Jay. I’m putting him at the monastery because he’s the designated cockroach. He’s watched his friends die over and over again, but he hasn’t really been forced to sit in that feeling. I think he needs to be left alone with the thought that everyone he loves died. For character development.

We’re getting to the point where process of elimination is a significant factor, but I vibe with Zane in the land of madness. We don’t actually know where Nya started, but she wandered around for a while before getting involved in the cragling war. Zane would absolutely explore and then get drawn into “protecting those who cannot protect themselves.” Plus we could get some Ice Emperor feels because waking up in a strange, unfamiliar land with no idea how to get home is not that foreign of a concept for Zane

Now we’re down to Cole and Kai with the options of… tech capsule one and tech capsule two. Yeah, no. We don’t know what the deal is with those yet but I’m just gonna take this opportunity to put these guys wherever I want in the merged lands that isn’t already taken

Ok so first things first (penultimate but whatever) I’m putting Cole in the spectral lands because. Make Cole think he’s dead again 2k25. Also we could get some more Morro content, draw out the parallels between the two and really let Andrew Francis get his screentime. Ghost!cole angst please and thank you

And last but not least: Kai in cloud kingdom. Tell me it’s not a banger idea, you can’t. We can get a true, undeniable dismissal of the notion that he’s still upset over not being the green ninja and he can get so very frustrated with the monks. He has all this information at his fingertips, but there are no answers to what happened or where his family went. He wants to help, he wants to do something, but there’s nothing to be done. Also we can get some more focus on Euphrasia. Kai fails the stop-collecting-younger-siblings-challenge yet again. He still meets and mentors Wyldfyre and she’s his first student, but he and Euphrasia develop a sort of camaraderie despite their initial differences in ideology

Someone who's super heavily malnourished might need some help while bathing (standing for a long time on a slippery surface is hard, heat makes you dizzy, you're more likely to break a bone and everything around you is made of hard tile and porcelain, etc). So Akane gets some help from an enthusiastic (trying to make it easier and more fun) gal pal as well as those handles on the wall, shower seats, bath mats, all the good helpful stuff. It's still hard for someone so tough and independent...but it gets easier :)

im back baby. with my au i made before season 4-5. all i had to go on was the felix episode and a dream. everyone deal with the au where i give adrien a little brother in the most convoluted and insane way possible. and they have the dynamic of all time.

the basic premise is that adrien gets to see a younger version of himself. imperfect and childish and he realizes he was still worth loving. he was that tiny and little and he was treated wrongly. and this tiny adrien gets to see a "perfect" version of himself that was made specifically for his parents and how it still wasn't enough. its basically an au where adrien reconciles with his shitty childhood via getting a new brother. and they both eventually get some selfhood. or whatever.

The portrayal of white people who have been violently separated from their own culture stealing the power of black culture and music to try to get reconnected was SO literal and somehow not at ALL heavy-handed or trite. Fkn remarkable.

Ok I have a lot of thoughts about this so I'm not gonna put them in the tags. I love these designs so much omg. Also whoops meant to post this earlier but it was in my drafts and I forgot, sorry!

Zombie: I love the shambling off center pose, it looks so cool! also omg the mushrooms growing off of it! The sunken eyes and cheekbones, the torn and ragged clothing; showing that whoever's this is, they've been dead for a while. Not too long though, or else we'd start to see dessicated flesh hanging off of them. God that'd be cool and terrifying to see in a Zombie huh?

Baby Zombie: Damn I actually feel bad for these guys due to this design. I mean, I felt bad anyway since their existence implies young kids got turned, but in Minecraft these things are terrifying and can be annoying. This design shows us that they're *kids*. AND OUGHH they're hanging onto a baby blanket omg 😥. Likely the one last comfort they have.... I also love that they have a different outfit than the adult Zombie, it's not just the classic outfit and resized, it's showing us that there's different forms of dress for kids and adults. (I mean, of course there is but it's still fun to see it) Also judging by the fact they're holding a blanket, perhaps these are their equivalent of pajamas or night dress, implying that they were turned when in bed. Perhaps when they were infected, they didn't know what was going on and tried to sleep it off, turning into a zombie in the night.

Skeleton: YESSSSS SKELETONS HAVING THE RUNES THAT REANIMATE THEM!!! I HAVE A SIMILAR THING IN MY MINECRAFT LORE TOO!!!! Also oh my god I LOVE the wrappings that connect their joints together!!!!

Drowned: That thing looks terrifying omg. Love how it looks like a waterbloated corpse but also dear god it's drawn so well and creepily!! Zombie Villager; YESSS I love the red eyes and the paler skin with the necrosis!!!!

For all of the northerners that stood up for Texas during our freeze and said, "Don't make fun of them, they've never dealt with this before. Their infrastructure isn't made for snow and freezing."

This one is for you.

Where I live 108°F with 80% humidity with no wind is normal.

Pacific North West is dealing historic best waves 35-40°C or 95-105°F.

First of all. Don't make fun of them for bitching about the heat. Just like Texas isn't built for a freeze and our pipes burst, Pacific North West isn't built for heat and a lot of their homes don't have AC.

If you live somewhere with a high humidity like 80+ HUMIDITY IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. The "humidity makes it feel cooler" is a lie once it gets beyond a point.

If you live somewhere with a lower humidity, misters are nice to cool off outside.

Once you get over 90°F (32°C) a fan will not help you. It's just pushing around hot air. (I mean if you can't afford a small AC unit because they're expensive as hell, by all means a fan is better than nothing).

Window AC units will let mosquitoes or other small bugs in. Sucks, but that's life.

Now is not the time to me modest. If you have to cover for religious reasons, by all means. If you don't, I've seen people wear short shorts and a swim top. It's not trashy if it keeps you from getting heat stroke.

If you do have to cover up for religious reasons, look for elephant pants or something similar. They're made with a breathable material.

Shade is better than no shade, but that shit it just diet sun after some point. Don't think shade will save you from heat stroke.

I know the "drink your water" is a fun meme now, but if you're sweating excessively you need electrolytes. Drink Gatorade, Powerade, or Pedialite PLEASE. I don't care if you're fucking sitting in one spot all day. That shit WILL save you from heat stroke.

Most importantly. RESEARCH THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEAT STROKE AND HEAT EXHAUSTION PLEASE!

If you're diabetic and can't drink Gatorade, mix water, fruit juice, and either lite salt or pink salt

If you can afford it, cover windows with thick curtains to insulate the house

If you have tile floors, lay on them with skin to tile contact. If you don't, laying your head on cool counters works too.

If the temperature where you're at is hotter than your body temperature, don't wear heat wicking clothing. Moisture wicking is safe though.

Check your medication labels. Many make you more susceptible to sun and heat

-Room temperature water will get into your body faster. This is something I learned doing marching band in high summer in Georgia, and it saved all of our asses. Sip it, don't gulp it, especially if you're getting into the red; same goes for whatever fluid you're drinking. And just in general drink during the day.

-If you are moving from an air conditioned space to an un-air conditioned space, if at all possible try to make the shift gradual. When my dad and I were working outside and in un-ac houses a few years ago, he'd turn the air down to low in the truck about ten-fifteen minutes before we got where we were going. This way your body doesn't go from low low temps to high temps. S'bad for you.

-If you can, keep your lights off during the day. Light bulbs may not generate a lot of heat, but the difference is noticeable when it gets hot enough. I literally only turn my bedroom light on in the evening when it gets too dark.

Don't be afraid to just like... pour water on yourself if you need to. The evaporation will cool you off.

Put your hand to the cement for 15 seconds. If you can't handle the heat, it'll burn your dog's paws. Don't let them walk on it.

Dogs with flat faces are more prone to heat stroke. Don't leave them out unsupervised.

Frozen fruit is delicious in water.

Wet/Cold hat/handkerchief on your head/neck will help you stay cool.

Pickle juice is great for electrolytes! You can even make pickle juice Popsicles!

Heat exhaustion is more, "drink water and get you cooled off." Heat stroke is more "Oh my god call 911."
