I've noticed there's a few things from Seasons 7 and 8 in 911 that are referencing old storylines.

Bobby's house burnt down, just like his apartment building.

Bobby took over being captain from Gerard, like he did when he first got the job.

Buck looking up a guy hanging from a firetruck ladder, like he did when he was struck by lightning.

Another child stuck in a well emergency, like Eddie Begins.

Tommy's character being reintroduced.

This one may be a stretch, but Hen saving Denny from a car accident could be referencing the girl that Hen hit with the ambulance.

Athena landing the plane instead of having a plane crash emergency like season 1.

Bringing back Dennis Jenkins' character.

Maddie disappearing and Chim coming to save her. They actually referenced Maddie's postpartum depression this time.

Chimney hallucinating both Doug and Kevin.

People have pointed out that Buck reaching out to the lady at the church reminded them of his first loss in Season 1.

Eddie leaving back to Texas, as he wasn't here in Season 1.

Buck saying he doesn't have to have feelings for everyone he sleeps with is very reminiscent of the mindset Buck had in season 1.

I may be reaching with a lot of these, but theres so many coincidences. It feels like they're bringing back old storylines, but giving them a happy ending. If the season 9 emergency is an earthquake, we'll know.
