I know these people are incapable of feeling guilt or empathy most of the time, but I'm going to tell every one of them my mother died and it sucked. I don't care.
Maybe I'm trying to make sure a horrible, pointless, unnecessary death can have some meaning beyond my grief. That my mom's suffering can have some... reason.

So Trump's DOJ is suing the state of Washington because WA's new mandated reporting law says that clergy (among many other professions) are legally obligated to report ongoing child abuse if they know about it. And the Christofascists in the Trump regime call that "anti-catholic"
And all I can think of is this iconic post

reposted from my discord
the news just came in, the godfather of metal music has passed.
if you'll bear with me, i'd like to sift through some thoughts i'm having.
i was given my first taste of heavy metal music by my eldest brother when i was around 6 or 7 years old. he had recently gotten his first iPod and was eager to share some music he liked with someone who couldn't really tell him to go away lol. so he'd have me listen to a song with him on occasion. his favorite song was (and might still be idk) Crazy Train. couple years later we got our hands on the first guitar hero game, and he obsessed over improving his score on Bark at The Moon.
so from very early on i was hearing ozzy's music very often and it stuck. i developed an interest in other popular metal acts like metallica and later got really into the more extreme varieties of metal music (death and black metal specifically), eventually i got really into more progressive acts like dream theater. but, ozzy's music was always there, being the foundation that my own "metalheadedness" was built on.
as the years went by everyone in the wider metal community sorta saw what was coming as ozzy's condition deteriorated. but it seemed like every time he had a health scare, he came back and kept on rocking and rolling. as i've already said to some other friends, it's nothing short of amazing that he lived as long as he did given his poor health.
the biggest comfort i find is that he managed to do one last show before the end. he came onto the world stage as a heavy metal musician, and never stopped being exactly that. i think that's really something, something poetic about it. anywho, that's all i got for now. keep on rockin'.

What’s the fucking point? Literally one of the biggest titles this year, it’s sold millions of copies on Steam alone, and devs are getting shafted.
