What is emotive data

This blog is about emotive data and for the first post, lets define emotive data. I'l try to be as concise as possible. 

Emotive data is multiple aggregate data that signifies the emotional state of the user. It is metrics applied to very abstract ideas, such as happiness or love. Thus, emotive data is a made up concept to quantify emotions.  

But emotive data is never raw sensor or user input data. In contrast emotive data is the combination of many data inputs whether biometric data, user input or raw sensor data.      

Its important to note that user reporting of how they are feeling is not emotive data. Emotive data has to involve aggregation of multiple types of data. The reasons why are beyond the scope of this blogpost - I'll go more into this in a later post. 

So that's it - emotive data is simply many types of aggregate data that all together represent the emotional state of the user.
