I don't think that's a medical condition. Definitely not one that leaves yoy well enough to make 20 scam accounts to spam random inboxes with on a relatively small social media site that won't give you anywhere near the same reach as a larger site like Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram would.

Flowers for Hordak

So on friday Lucy and I were looking at some she-ra and he-man stuff on ebay. I used to be a big fan of both franchises and had almost alll the She-Ra figures. Remembering the only one I never got was Perfuma, I decided to look her up and that’s when we discovered there was an episode of She-Ra entitled

WHAT??!

wHHHATTTT???!!!!

I watched most of the episodes when I was a kid but for some reason this one eluded me so we decided to watch it. However, before we even started to watch the episode we were somewhat bewildered by this comment:

Well. I have to admit that despite being well aware of my preference for the female of the species from an early age I had never taken on board the appearance of the boobs of this particular character*

*the same cannot be said for Catra however

So we began to watch the episode and

Oh.

OH.

Apparently she does. Well who knew?!

Anyway, Shadow Weaver shows this dark gem thingy to Hordak who declares it is pretty in one breath then goes on to express his disdain for all things pretty two minutes later. A plan ensues during which Shadow Weaver uses said gem to spread darkness to kill the magic trees and Hordak’s (frankly hilarious) robots kidnap Perfuma who can make the flowers and plants grow (or ‘not be dead’ as Lucy put it) despite there being no light. During this segment, the stupidly names and overly gay-stereotyped Bow, who is listed as She-Ra’s ‘Special Friend’, became oblivious to the fact that Princess Adora ‘disappeared’ just as She-Ra 'appeared’ from nowhere. Gotta love a good trope.

In any case, Perfuma’s kidnapping appears to make She-Ra stoned as she forms a plan to keep the trees alive with the help of

an equally well-endowed Glimmer. Gees, I don’t remember the characters being this… top heavy…

Anyway, Glimmer uses her impractically long, extendable arm to make a move on She-Ra and attempt to touch her inappropriately just before the two of them take off 

whilst Bow points out that the trees can currently not maintain an erection, goddamnit

Whilst flying high in the sky, Glimmer throws back her head in orgasmic pleasure and

Begins some sort of bizarre boob-ray

which grows stronger and stronger until

HOORAY! Viagra for trees! Let us all rejoice!

Meanwhile, over at Hordak’s…

Perfuma has broken out of her cell using the oft-seen flowers-in-the-keyhole technique and covered his lair with foliage

Including this guy, who has taken the title of being my favourite robot ever

Hordak on the other hand is none too pleased and the situation only worsens

…as a strange robotic song and dance routine ensues. At this point I was wondering if I’d accidentally taken too many painkillers in one go

To deal with the situation Hordak promptly threatens Perfuma with a gun

which she promptly turns into flowers, oops

Also the above screenshot is probably my favourite moment of any TV show ever

So Hordak begs She-Ra to take Perfuma away, except Perfuma doesn’t want to go and it takes a bribe of the dark crystal and three months of supplies for Hordak to be free of the flowery one

Cue this rather uncomfortable wink from She-Ra

An hilarious end sequence ensues which involves Bow gaining a surprise flower crown and his moustache (which seems to be some sort of mood indicator) drooping pathetically

before this bunch of generic dudes appear to laugh heartily, having been in NONE of the rest of the episode and having no other reason to be there but to laugh at Bow’s floral misfortune.

There was one other bit with flower disposal at Hordak’s and then some strange brightly-coloured creature who was having a go at us for not spotting him during the show, the swine! 

Al in all we were left wondering exactly what kind of visual entertainment our brains had consumed and whether the last twenty-something minutes had been some kind of hallucination.

Sheer 80s class. Brilliant.
