Hamas/Hezbollah supporters are the new neo-nazis
1. They call for the ‘final solution’
2. Many “protesters” have been seen doing the nazi salute or other nazi mannerisms
3. They constantly refer to Jews as apes, pigs, and even “subhuman”
4. White supremacist leaders of different groups have applauded hamas and their fans for their violence and hateful speech towards Jews.
5. They are marking Jewish business with the Magen David and are also in some cases destroying those businesses like they did in 1940’s Germany.
How can one think they are on the right side of history when you are doing things that make terrorist groups/nazi groups applaud you ?

Look you can say that the students with Hezbollah flags quoting hitler are "not part of your movement" all you want but they ARE in fact sitting at the protests long enough for people to take pictures of them and post them on the internet without getting told to leave so ??????

In light of tumblr and twitter losing its mind over the LARPers who think harassing Jews, waving flags from terrorist organizations like Hezbollah, and hanging out in tents instead of going to class will have any effect on foreign policy, I'd like to talk about this new Harvard poll on the politics of America's youth. There are several observations to be made, but I'm focusing the I/P data.
Contrary to the view you get from social media, the majority of young people aren't following the Israel-Hamas war closely
Young people support a ceasefire, but almost half of young people say they don't know if Israel's actions have gone too far
A majority of young people sympathize with both Israelis and Palestinians, and only a slim minority sympathize with Hamas
Most young people do differentiate the civilians from their governments
You can see the actual numbers for all of this below:

Lastly: Gaza isn't even in the top 10 issues that are most important to young Americans.
Tumblr media
I know this is just one poll, but this tracks with other polls I've seen over the past 6 months. So far, I haven't seen any quality polling over supporting the idea that the most popular Online takes from young people on I/P are popular in real life. Social media is not real life, and privileged rich kids cosplaying anarchy on campuses instead of going to class aren't reflective of most young people, either.

This was created by an Israeli artist & activist whose family fled persecution in Tunisia & Iraq. Please ditch the "Israelis are all white colonizers, and Israel is Bad for everyone who isn't religious and white" nonsense.

One thing I wonder about the Hamas apologists/supporters is what do they think would come after?
Like okay let's say Israel went poof for whatever reason, as they seem to want. Who do they think Hamas is gonna turn all the violence they call 'resistance' on? This complete absence of any human decency they have clearly shown... is that just supposed to vanish?
Or would they have to admit it was never about Palestine when it comes time to ignore the people still being 'governed' by a literal terrorist organisation who are heavily armed and not shy about committing atrocities?
(Not Jewish, just something I wonder whenever I get called a racist for challenging them on the regurgitated propaganda they have made their whole identity)

where is the line between Fan Fiction and Original Work
I'm currently writing an OC/ OC ship fic that's also self-insert (both OCs are my self-inserts). It takes place in an established fandom universe and one of the OCs is a fan-kid of a canon character.
But, its also so far removed from canon that it has very little to do with the original source material.
The OC that's the fan kid, is the fan kid of two canon characters that are themselves Next Gen characters, so they're already separated from the main cast by one generation, and then my fankid OC is one more generation removed from that.
In addition, it takes place in a location that, while it does exist in canon, has not been used in canon since the late-2000s/early 2010s.
Should I tag this as "Original Work" since there's so much that's been removed from canon? Or should I keep all the fandom tags and just prepare for swarms of angry fans to jump down my throat for daring to post OC self-insert fan fic that doesn't even include the central characters?
(I am old enough for remember fanfiction.net in 2004 when ANY fic that included an OC got bullied, I hear the fan fic cultural landscape has changed since then, but I'm still afraid to post my OC fics publicly)
--
If the setting is from some canon then the work is still in that fandom.
Whether people will be grumpy about OC/OC depends on the particular fandom's culture. On AO3, it's easy to filter by ship tag and just go straight to the canon character/canon character stuff.

Why do people need subtitles to watch a show in English? I don't get it. What is wrong with the ears of young people?

when many of those saying "don't conflate judaism with zionism!!!" on this website also tag posts about jewish issues like this:
Tumblr media
you must understand that you're contradicting yourself. if you read a post about judaism where israel isn't mentioned at all & your immediate response is to loudly declare "I'M ANTI-ISRAEL BUT..." then you do conflate judaism with zionism, you're just unable/unwilling to acknowledge your hypocrisy.
& these sort of defensive tags from goyim particularly irritate me when they're left on posts about antisemitism. when jews talk about the discrimination we face, why do you attempt to centre yourself? why are you more concerned about protecting your self-image than fighting injustice?
