Speculating about someone's sexual orientation is part of the queer culture
I've seen a lot of comments saying that speculating someone's sexual orientation is inappropriate, wrong, not okay, etc.
One of the things that straight people don't understand about being queer is that speculating someone's sexual orientation is completely normal in the community.
Why? Because socially it is not yet accepted to have preferences other than being heterosexual. And many people are still in the closet but want to have a homosexual encounter.
Because? Because socially it is not yet accepted to have preferences other than being heterosexual. And many people are still in the closet but want to have a homosexual encounter. Of course, a heterosexual cannot understand this because they do not need to hide to have a partner or tell the person they like how they feel. On the other hand, as a homosexual, one must discover if the other person is also part of the community in order to make a move to flirt. And that the other person does not feel uncomfortable or if that feeling is reciprocated.
Speculating about a celebrity's sexual orientation is not wrong. It is completely normal for a queer person to identify with an artist. If an artist does not want to tell their sexual orientation because it is not yet socially accepted, it is completely understandable. But aa public figures, fans of the LGBT community have the right to speculate about their sexuality because they can feel identified either because they are in the closet or because they understand what the artist is feeling by not being able to love freely.
No one is forced to come out of the closet, but if an artist remains in the closet, it shows that society is still not prepared to accept people from the LGBT community.
Unfortunately, a heterosexual will never know what it means to be homosexual and be part of the queer community. That's why they say that speculating someone's sexuality is wrong. But how long people. speculated that at birth you are heterosexual. Heterosexuality has been the sexual orientation imposed and speculated as definitive at birth.
There is still an intolerance towards sexual preferences other than heterosexual. And an intolerance towards queer culture. Speculating about people's sexual orientation has always been part of queer culture due to the very fact of society's intolerance towards people from the LGBT community. Forcing people in the community to continue speculating about other people's sexual orientation because it has been proven that it is still not safe to come out of the closet, so when you meet someone you always wonder, Is gay, bi, lesbian? Is it safe to come out to this closeted person?
Yes, this is something that a heterosexual should never ask themselves when interacting with someone. But for someone who is LGBT, we have to speculate on someone's sexual orientation to know if it is a safe place.
So… YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN

the word lover is so infinitely soft. So universal. So timeless. Two girls with awkward, hungry hands. A boy and a girl in the dark. Two men in empty light. A marriage of 40 years. Letters over eons. Sappho’s poems. The corner of a mouth. Lovers, lovers, lovers.
