This is not based on anything canon but I like the thought of Gopher Wood subtly encouraging their codependency not only for Sunday manipulation reasons but also incest “Twins of the Order” reasons. Divine primordial incest couples who create the world/gods/humanity are not uncommon in mythology and considering the whole theme of divine creation at the end of Penacony… They’re Order’s (incestous) Adam and Eve, fated to be together, two halves of one whole :)

One pet AU I thought about a lot was one where Sunday goes loopy after Robin is shot on Kasbelina VIII and, deciding that her life was more important than her freedom, coaxes her into becoming his sisterwife <3 He’s LARPing a blissful domestic life with her meanwhile Robin slowly wastes away on Penacony, trapped in a gilded cage but unable to escape b/c they’re drawn to each other like magnets in the worst way possible (also Sunday probably had one of their maids disappeared for trying to help her escape lol). Plus they have lots of Halovian incest babies :)
