as a former anti-ai person (now i consider myself anti-anti-ai, though not specifically pro-ai for now), i've started to notice how anti-ai rhetorics cause harm to disabled people (e.g. "haha they need to ask ai to do anything, why can't they just do it themselves?")... and i also feel bad for all trans-ai folks, getting so much hate for just existing is painful

i know ai is not very ethical at the moment (stealing from artists and writers, etc.), but it doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist at all. and i can fairly say that being anti-ai is ableist, no excuses

i wish there were more artists and writers who write openly radqueer, paraphile, and transid characters. who create stories about acceptance and being proud of who you are, even under the whole world's pressure. and of how they influence other characters (who may be antis, or just sceptical) to eventually find solace, peace, and joy in radqueerness and to become more understanding and accepting of other people.

if you want to write such stories and characters, but you're scared that you'll be bullied and harassed for it – i feel you, i have this problem too. but i think i can help you: you can start small first. if queer coding exists, why can't there be radqueer coding? you don't need to make your message very loud and clear, you can make it subtle and rely on cues, subtext, and metaphors. thus, more people will relate to your story and may accept themselves and others more quickly.

anyway, my primary message is: if we'll be seen much more than for right now, if people will relate to stories we create – we'll be taken seriously, eventually. it's not up for debate. let this post be a push and a reminder to fight for our acceptance and rights, through the power of art and creativity! 🍓🌈

i think they are purposefully making these usernames hard to copy since app users can’t copy names (at least to my knowledge, i’ve tried before and i can’t) which makes it harder to make callout posts about them. it’s easy to make a mistake in the username and not find the account, making them difficult to avoid until they’re on your dash without warning.
