The intrigue in The Eternal Library is getting so good! 🎉

I’m about halfway through The Rescue side of chapter five and excited to share my progress with you! 💃

✨ I’ve just updated the public demo with some juicy new content!

✨ I’ve also added a little extra to the Patreon demo that gives subscribers a gasp-worthy drop of drama that isn’t available yet to the public. I’m not sure how I’ll write myself out of this one, so members get to watch as I figure it out. 😆

Chapter five progress is ongoing. The Treasury path is currently sitting at 11k words and The Rescue path is 30k words long. I’m working on finishing The Rescue version of this chapter first, but it’s shaping up to be a long one!

CHAPTERS 1 – 6 REWRITES.

PUBLIC RELEASE.

Hello Lovelies,

It’s been nearly a year since I last publicly updated The Six That Thrive, and I have many conflicted feelings. First, I am extremely happy with this project and extremely happy to continue, but I’m also really having to come to terms with the fact that TSTT is a rough draft. And having to figure out my writing style that I really like, which is a mixture of good characterization as well as good description. So it’s been a hard balance—and one I’m not completely happy with—but that’s okay. The bare bones of this project are good, and I will continue to aim higher for the future chapters.

QUESTIONS:

Many have asked if I’ll continue to disappear and not post. The answer is no! I’m happy with Chapters 1–6, and future chapters will be posted one by one with early releases, as well as alternating between Ifs.

With interaction, I will have dedicated days throughout the month to post and respond to all messages, to give myself a break and focus on things outside my writing! With Patreon | | Ko-fi, I will—and have over the year—continue to post updates, behind-the-scenes, and commissions!! So thank you!!

First of all...

THE SAVES WILL BREAK! There is no workaround. The saves will break.

Second, READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS AGAIN. This is important. Some heavy stuff will be present in this chapter.

The update is 158 000 extra words. The chapter is playable to the end, but it's still a work in progress. There will be missing choices towards the middle and end, which will be added later.

Right now though, I'm going on a vacation, so I will be much slower to answer until I get back at the end of June.

Cantata Chapter 3 is Now Live!

I know I’ve been teasing it for a few days but I am honestly so hyped to share this chapter with you! Not only have we hit the main storyline and things are starting to happen, but this chapter feels like a collaborative effort. There are several details and scenes that sprang directly from tumblr asks and discussions. You’ve helped me flesh out ideas and characters, and I can’t wait for you to see how our story is unfolding! 💕

There may be things I can’t readily talk about, but please don’t let that stop you from sending in asks. I’m honestly looking forward to the response to this chapter, and there’s plenty of good stuff we can talk about!

Chapter 6 is released!

You’ve been wandering in the darkness, but now the light is here, and it blinds you. Your vision clears, and you see it. You see the trap closing right above your head, leaving you with no way to escape.

The situation with Vezriel’s sibling becomes troublesome. Because of your abilities, you learn more than you should know. But it gives you a chance to see Vezriel from a side they show to few demons.

A strange vision promises you misery, though you don’t know why or how. Is it connected to Os? You can only guess, though you don’t have much time for it as Os pulls you back into the high society and shows you how they deal with some matters.

Perhaps Laz would’ve preferred to keep you at a safe distance, but when trouble knocks on the door of their home, Laz can’t refuse your help with an important matter. If you want your payment in honesty, you might just get it this time.

You and Ashmedai both walk closer to something you would rather not remember. For you, it is a painful reminder; for them, it’s another stone added to the weight of their guilt. They’re not prepared to give their last, most painful ‘secret’ to your judgment, but they must.

Az seems so simple, but the more you learn about them, the less you understand them. They’ve opened their home for you—which you never expected to happen—and have shown you unprecedented trust, but you still can’t stop wondering about what they’re hiding from you.

It’s not here to make or ruin your playthrough, so don’t fret about it and choose what is suitable for your Oracle! :) It’ll mostly give you additional flavor text depending on the other choices you make in the future.

There are lots of variables and branches at work, and I couldn’t go through all of them. So if you see something wanky, or a bug, or a double space line, or typos, or anything that sounds like it shouldn’t be in your specific playthrough/etc., please let me know! I’ve been waiting for this chapter (this and the next one) for so long. When I was coming up with ideas for this story, the last scene of this chapter was among the first things I wrote down. At last you can guess where I’m leading the Oracle and what their journey will look like. Their journey and their growth... or downfall. And you’ll be the one to decide what it is and what the Oracle thinks of it :)

He spends most of his time with Laverne or manning Harmon’s Rest.

They don’t seem to very invested in anyone, however they are uniquely interested in you.

They lead a hunting and foraging squad in Thalwood. It's said they get their keen aim and steady hand from hours of painting.

The second Angel ever created by Aquine. conniving, cold and always wanting more. You aren’t sure why, but he hates you, you’re sure if he could have torn your wings from your back without Aquine’s help, he would have. Yet, he settled on exposing your expedition to Altheria. In the end, he got what he wanted.

Woven from Aquine’s heart are her beloved Angels. As a testament to his love and affection towards the first living beings they’ve ever created, they forfeited their emotions, desires and virtues. Thus, the first Angel dubbed ‘the Prototype Angel’ was given her hatred. A boon for her future creations to share – the gift of never feeling hated.

Not a person, rather a thing given to human-kind. Given to the people to connect divinity and mortals. Through the Ethereal Harmonies humans may request boons for power from an angel through the devotion of desire, emotions, or virtue.

Evander is the crown prince of Elyssia. Often charming and elusive, Evander hides behind a mask of arrogance and indifference to get through courtly life. Trope: Forbidden Love. He shouldn't look at you, you are considered an enemy of the kingdom. He should order your death. So why is it, that when you look at him - his heart seems to stop beating?

Theodore/Theodora "Teddy" de Peyster. (he/him) or (she/her)

Teddy is the crown prince's sworn protector. Noble and steadfast, Teddy is everything the kingdom needs to survive. Born to the retired parent's of the King's guard, all Teddy's life has been is violence and warfare. Is it possible for this knight to rise to the challenge or will they fall on their sword?

Trope: Sworn off Love. The knight cannot afford any mistakes, no matter how small. They keep everyone at a distance, relationships lead to a mess and a mess is a big mistake. But when you smile - they feel a crack appear in their armor.

Maeryn Toussaint. (she/her)

Maeryn is a priestess, belonging to the Church of Estrellas. Frequently skittish and consistently pious, Maeryn has never set foot outside of her convent. That was until the rebellion, where her prophetic abilities could help turn the tide. Can she save the kingdom, or doom the world?

Trope: Love at First Sight. She has never had anyone look at her like she wasn't broken. It's gotten to the point where she believes it too. Yet, when your hand touches hers - she has never felt more put together.

Hartford Moss. (cis) or (non-binary)

Hartford is your best friend, or was at least. Long gone is the vibrant curiosity of childhood, the destruction of Hartford home leaves nothing but grief in their eyes and regret in their heart. Until they see you again. Will you stay together this time or will fate rip you apart?

Trope: Friends to Lovers. No one has ever seen every piece of them and understood them; their soul is bare, yet people look and don't see. However, you have seen them all of them and never looked away - it makes their head spin.

Species: Vampire Traits: gentle, honourable, protective, vengeful, volatile Height: 6ft0 Appearance: Hispanic male. Light brown skin and deep red eyes. Natural ear-length dark hair with dyed dusty ash tones on top, swept-back style. Dark, thick eyebrows, straight nose, full lips, and a lobe and mid-helix piercing on his right ear. Thick but short canine fangs, incredibly sharp. Generally sticks to dark, classically edgy-style clothing.

Ry (he/him), Your Pursuer (he’s still mad at you about that thing)

Species: Human Traits: cynical, empathetic, guarded, impulsive, inquisitive Height: 6ft4 Appearance: Caucasian male. Fair skin and [REDACTED] eyes. Natural brown hair dyed light blond in a fauxhawk style. Sharp features obscured by his cybernetic jaw attachment and visor glasses; just the bottom part of his nose, lips, and partial cheek area remains uncovered. Almost always sporting a purple blazer, with a typical corporate shirt-and-pants combo made to suit his line of work, complete with dark combat gloves.

Dom (he/him), the King of the Streets (if information was free he’d be living on them)

Species: Vampire Traits: analytical, manipulative, patient, possessive, sensual Height: 5ft9 Appearance: East Asian male. Light skin and deep red eyes. Natural black hair styled in messy cheekbone-length curtain bangs. High bridge, pointed narrow nose, diamond face shape. Very light chinstrap stubble. Slightly pointed ears with a few lobe piercings. Narrow and sharp double fangs. Tattoos along his neck, back, chest, and limbs. Signature high-collar black synth-leather jacket with a necklace.

Emery (they/them), the Cargo-Slinger (you impressed them, but never do that again)

Species: Human Traits: intelligent, prickly, private, resourceful, soft-hearted Height: 5ft4 Appearance: Desi nonbinary person. Medium brown skin and eyes. Short sidecut, natural dark brown-to-purple ombré. Thick, dark eyebrows, large eyes, and rounded features. Lots of piercings including stretched ears, a septum ring, and a nose piercing. Tattoos on shaved side of scalp, neck, shoulders, upper arms, and back. Generally sports a nondescript grey poncho-style hooded raincoat.

Zoia (she/her), the Government’s Headache (you look like you might want to revolt—here, take a pamphlet)

Species: Vampire Traits: boisterous, direct, driven, fearless, organised Height: 5ft10 Appearance: Biracial Caucasian/African-American female. Medium-light black skin and solid bright red, faintly glowing irises, no pupils��cybernetically altered. Natural dark brown hair in a coily round afro. Slim, arched eyebrows, low bridge and wide nose. Full lips with dark glossy lipstick. Multiple piercings on the cartilage and lobe of her ears. Thick lateral incisor fangs almost double the length of her central incisors. Generally seen in her punk-style grey leather, short sleeved jacket with a fingerless cyber-glove on her right hand, long metallic nails, and detachable cybernetic neck fitting.

Origin 3:

Abject poverty. You had to scrape out a living however you could. The gangs of the streets were your family, and your ability to speak with them as one of their own reflects that. Growing up in harsh conditions has made you more resilient, and you’re really good at blending in.

Each origin features a playable origin chapter and flashbacks, unlocking multiple scenes to interact with specific Origin NPCs through the game.

The option for Open Door/Closed Door romance scenes will not censor the graphic sex and violence depicted in the rest of the game, only when it involves the MC. If you don't want to be exposed to extremely dark themes, this may not be the game for you.

Hello hello! It's time to conclude the Festival and the childhood segment of the game!

PSA: This is NOT the same build that patreons got in April. This build features everything I've done for the current Patreon build so I will be listing all the new features and content below. There is an updatescript that will help fix bugs- BUT it's finicky with old saves. If you are having issues, you will have to start a brand new save. After that, there should no problems in the future (fingers crossed)

Childhood segment of the game comes with its own mini stat page with physical descriptions. It gets overwritten after the time skip.

Armoury/Inventory:

The armoury is where all item, weapons and trinkets you've collected on your journey will be stored. Some items will increase your personal stats, which will help you to pass stat checks. You will be gaining items for the armoury in later updates.

Cast Page: I actually forgot about this one. But if its working, it's because it was from the early alpha. I will come back to it in the another update.

A few UI changes. The Player and Armoury as been added to the Footer of the interface for easy navigation.

Hello, hello, hello :)!

As I said I would, I've updated the demo with the new UI (using one of the templates by @/lapinlunaire-games) as well as A SMALL CONTENT UPDATE

It isn't much, but I wanted to show that I'm still working on TAG, even if slowly, so I've left in...around half of chapter 1 as well :)

anyway, some of it might still be a little buggy whilst i transfer things, so don't be afraid to make bug reports !

Episode 2 release :)

ok it’s finally out now! episode two of swapped is now available on itch.io. in it you finally meet Taylor and make the Deal. There are two new entries in the info of people, three new achievements (though one is really hard to get compared to the others), a quickstart menu to episode 2 and a guide for beginners that was originally meant for my friends who don’t know what IF or CYOA stories are.
