Fez is an ex-convict who travels west for a fresh start with his little brother, builds himself a house and farm but is so lonely so decided to post for a mail order bride type scenario. Lexi, an aspiring writer trapped in her sister’s household with her horrible husband, sees the listing and decides to answer/they start up a mail correspondence and start to fall in love but they both think it’s a business transaction situation for the other person so they keep their feelings to themself

GOD maybe its me projecting but i just think she'd feel so frustrated because she KNOWS what a gentle soul he is, she KNOWS he's smart, kind, loyal and she loves him for it, but when shes at a party with him and shes reminded that basically everybody thinks hes this chanceless drop out, it breaks her heart. she wants everybody to know how amazing he is and she makes sure to remind him everyday how special and deserving of love he is
